35 Chapter 35

Things went really well for you. You'd gotten a new Exveemon to join your team. You'd set up a meeting with Ruki on the phone so you could confront her over the freaky digivice you got when you partnered with Devimon and on top of that, you actually managed to hack the thing.

The mechanics in it were crazy and you could barely even understand half of the things programming. Still, after pulling an all nighter, you managed you copy the main functions you found on it.

The Digi-modify function when using cards. The digimon database. The compass that pointed to any nearby digimon and a few other small things. And then you put the copied functions in your original digivice, upgrading it and making it overall better in every way.

With it, you didn't need to use your Visualizer visor anymore just to scan digimon, your digivice could do it for you.

That was probably why, upbeat as you were, even leaving early for school at six am, with a chipper smile on your face and a whistle tuned on your lips - that was why you never expected what was about to happen.

It was quite a nice morning all told as you walked through the large Shinjuku park. Nobody was about at all this early, besides the birds singing in the trees.

Annoying little fucks. They were lucky you didn't Supreme King Fist them out of existence.

Really, the only downside to the whole thing is that annoying ever growing field of mist just up ahead on your way to school, right in the biggest opening in the park.

"Fucking digimon," you cursed under your breath. You couldn't even get some time to enjoy a walk in the morning nowadays. Truly, what a world you lived in.

Unless this was a beast of a digimon you'd want to recruit, your good mood from waking up to find that Devidramon had managed to sell two of your eggs would be ruined.

After all, it was hardly worth the effort to delete digimon in the real world. They only gave a tenth of the data.

"Still, better take care of this before it causes any trouble," you sighed. Walking into the mist, you called your golden chrome digizoid gauntlets into existence and made your way inside.

The second you entered, you were surprised. About thirty feet away you could see that beam of light they came in. But it was massive in comparison to the few you'd seen before.

"Oh?" you raised an eyebrow and hummed in interest. Might it be a champion then? Might be strong enough to recruit. A water based digimon would be a good addition, or maybe a babe digimon that you could flirt with and ogle.

"Bad dino, bad dino!" a little squeaky voice repeated to your side. You looked down to find a tiny little cream puff like digimon bouncing away from.

"Never seen that little guy before," you grinned. It looked super weak, so the capture program should let you get it easy. Raising your digivice, you were about to capture it when a massive roar split the air and rang your head like bell.

"What the fuck!?" you hissed angrily, clamping your hands over your ears and forgetting the cream puff for now you whirled around a threat on your lips.

The threat died on your lips.

Because the light beam died down to reveal a massive beast, so big the mist couldn't hide it at all from you. Huge, bigger even than Devidramon, with grey scales dense with muscle, metallic armor and wires running over its form.

You didn't need your digivice to tell you what this thing is, you have the card for it. "Metal Tyrannomon." you gaped.

Holy shit.

The massive cyborg dinosaur sniffed before turning and looking down at you like a man would an ant, a glare of fury and blood lust in its eyes, "Where is the light?" it snarled, drool dripping from its jowls, "Tell me where it is! Now human!"

"What light?" you couldn't help but ask in return. was it talking about that little cream puff digimon?

It snarled raising an am into the air and blue light began to hum as it charged an attack. "You dare question me human!?" it roared.

Your eyes went wide and you froze.

That split second of indecision would have been the end of you, if not for:

"Boss!" Black Greymon X roared angrily, bursting our of the digivice somehow and smashing his metallic head into Metal Tyrannomon's and pushing it back, forcing it to stop its attack.

Metal Tyrannomon roared in fury at the sudden attack and Black Metal Greymon snarled and roared right back for it daring to try and attack you.

"You dare try to kill boss!?" Black Greymon X howled, "I'll kill you!"

You slapped yourself hard. "Fucking pussy don't freeze up!" you hissed at yourself in admonishment.

You eyed the two giant dino's facing off, the ultimate of the two having a much larger height advantage.

Right, none of this shit. It might be an ultimate, but your boys had smacked down champions even as rookies.

"Greymon pin him down!" you ordered. You can't let this thing get out of here, it'll kill thousands if it does. You may be an asshole, but you won't let that happen. You thrust your digivice into the air facing above Metal Tyrannomon, "Devidramon! Reload! Pin him!"

Devidramon formed behind Metal Tyrannomon just as Black Greymon X lunged at the cyborg dinosaur. It tried to launch a punch at Greymon, only for Devidramon to land on its back and worm around the swinging arm, pinning it in place.

With a roar, Black Greymon X followed suite and obeyed your orders. He spun his lunge around so he came at the side and bite into the other arm and used his body weight to pin the giant ultimate from the other side.

"Perfect!" you hissed with satisfaction. With your digivice still held up, you hit the Copy and Paste program, instantly taking the data of its Nuclear Arm, and then just as quickly, brought out another Digimon, "Devimon, reload!"

As soon as Devimon appeared before you, you had three cards you drew from you the deck case attached to your belt, an old thing you used to play around with when you were big into the card game.

Two to attack, and Alias just in case.

"Devimon, Digi-modify! Power Killer Activate! Paildramon;s Desperado Blaster's Activate!" You rapidly slashed two cards through your newly improved digivice and watched in glee as a white glow surrounded Devimon, and the familiar blasters of Paildramon appeared jutting from his waist in a flash of light.

"Take him down!" you ordered.

"Gotcha bro!" Devimon replied, slapping his long arms to the blasters at his waist and aiming, "Desperado Blaster!" He declared.

Metal Tyrannomon both being so big, and pinned had no way to dodge as a rain of glowing blue energy bullets gunned into it rapid fire across the chest and face.

Twenty bullets in the span of five seconds.

It didn't even last all twenty before it burst into data and died.

Right. There's no way you'll be able to do much with its Nuclear Arm without the data behind its attack. So quickly, you lifted your digivice up and slurped up half the data, getting a Tsumemon egg and to your luck Nuclear Laser.

"Thank fuck for that." you gave a sigh of relief. That done, you turned to your digimon and beamed brightly, "Great job guys, but we gotta boost quick! Devimon load the data!"

Devimon quickly did as told, loading the data and as soon as he was done, you lifted your digivice and recalled all three of them. You dismissed your gauntlets, put your cards back and then took off in a sprint, getting the fuck out of dodge before more of those government agent types showed up.

It hadn't occurred to you before. But once digimon hit the champion stage, they got extremely destructive on average. And it had only been a couple days since you realized Digimon could enter the real world, and that some kind of government group was involved.

If the world at large hadn't heard about it. That meant, they could take care of any threat that had come to this point. If Metal Tyrannomon was anything to go by, Ultimates could get through, so by that logic they could defeat Ultimates without anyone being the wiser.

Did that mean they had Mega's or something on their side?

You didn't want to stick around and find out. It was just luck and quick thinking that let your team take down Metal Tyrannomon before shit could really hit the fan.

For now, it's best for you to just get to school and keep your head low for a bit until you can speak to Ruki about this shit.

Curiosly. When you got to school, an update appeared on your digivice. Apparently, your Goldem Chrome Digizoid Gauntlets, and Nuclear Arm had fused because they were both missing data, and together made something more functional.

"Neat." you grinned, looking it over on your digivice as you slipped into your empty classroom and took a seat.

Well, at least you could get a nap in before class started. And if your teacher came in and found you sleeping he'd probably be super angry. Plus plus for you.
