Starfall stood in his Workroom surrounded by multiple new magic sensors. A futuristic display connected to them all showed him a holographic depiction of his entire body. This setup was actually something he worked on for over two weeks and he was quiet proud of his accomplishment, as it was truly one hell of a useful addition to his future research.

But despite of how innovative his newest tool was, his face was contorted in a frown.

Nothing... nothing out of the ordinary...

His magic simply became more unstable.

He once again felt a shudder as a wave of magic spread throughout his entire body. The phenomenon wasn't as noticeable as the first time, barely even giving him a hint it was happening despite his higher than normal magical senses, but it became a common occurrence that, while did not happen often, was something he could expect once or twice a day...

It wasn't even annoying on its own. What frustrated Starfall was the inability of finding the cause of those shudders. The only hint he received was the source of the waves, that originated more or less from his Cutie Mark and the magic of friendship coursing through his body...

He was unable to read through the Magical Language infused in those waves, the magic being to complex or just changing too quickly for him too understand anything.

*Sigh*"Let's hope it's nothing harmful..." He muttered.

Starfall doubted that it was anything bad, but he would still keep an eye on his magic to make sure nothing was going awry...

Suddenly the doors to the chamber burst open and an overexcited Meena jumped towards Starfall.

"It's happening!!!"She exclaimed before dragging a confused Starfall out of the chamber where Twilight and Luna were standing waiting for the duo.

"Wha!? Luna? Twilight? What's happening!?" Starfall asked as he looked between the mares who had amused but slightly impatient expressions.

"It's Mrs Cake." Luna said and Twilight finished for her also clearly excited.

"She's giving birth as we speak!" She said, and Starfall understood.

Babies are coming!

"So cute!"Exclaimed Pinkie as soon as her eyes landed on the two bundles.

*Shhh* "Don't wake them Pinkie!" Everypony turned to the loud Party Pony...

"Sorry!" She whispered bashfully.

Starfall looked at the two small foals and couldn't help but feel warmth in his chest.

His eyes moved over all the mares in his herd and stopped at Little Strongheart. Only two years tops... if he doesn't do it with another one of them sooner...and he's going to be a dad...

Starfall smiled. Maybe he should just do all he could to take care of the most prominent problems early... He felt like making the world better for his future family was only natural...

His mind went to a certain Bell...He mused whether he should try and take it for himself...but the idea of easy power felt like cheating, and didn't sit well with him and all the work he put into becoming stronger on his own...

He watched the scene play out with girls asking about the babies, curious how could a unicorn and a Pegasus be born from two Earth Ponies...And surprise, surprise, the Cake couple had Unicorns and Pegasi among their ancestors! This information might have been common knowledge...but it still made Starfall ponder how then was it possible to once again separate the races in The New Generation movie? Or would that mean, a total annihilation of mixed towns like Ponyville? Well, that are just speculations. who knows if this movie was even canonical in regards to his world's possible future...

He decided to think about it later. Now it was time to admire the babies. Pound Cake and Pumpkin Cake were the ponification of cuteness after all...

Twilight looked around with a smile. All the Ponies in the room were her dear friends and family. She felt so warm seeing the girls fawning over the two sleeping foals. Her eyes noticed Starfall. He looked deep in thoughts, but it was clear that he was also feeling the familial warmth that was spreading through the nursery. She noticed his eyes lingering on Little Strongheart and for a split second she felt a pang of jealousy, but it was squashed in an instant as his eyes turned towards her and he smiled...Was he thinking the same as her?... maybe they also could...nah...it's still too early...but maybe...

A playful hit on her shoulder woke her up from her daze.

"You ok there Twilight? You were totally spacing out!" Rainbow Dash asked her with an amused smile leading Twilight to look at the blue mare with a small blush of a smile.

"Sorry...I was just thinking..." She said bashfully.

"And Whatcha been thinkin' 'bout so much Sugarcube?" Asked Applejack from the side causing Twilight to blush further.

"Well I...I..." Her eyes moved between Starfall and the babies and Rarity gasped having approached the group with Fluttershy.

"Oh Darling! Were you hoping to have a baby with Starall!?" She asked excitedly.

"Oh my!" Fluttershy gasped with a hoof on her mouth as a blush spread on her face.

Twilight blushed and lowered her head, shyly nodding, worried that they were going to be angry at her.

"That's so Cool Twilight! It would be so awesome if you had some babies! I am training to become a Wonderbolt so being preggers ain't good for my carrier, but if you had the babies, I could be the most Coolest Auntie In Equestria!" Rainbow exclaimed surprising Twilight who looked at rainbow with opened eyes.

"Yeah Twilight! I still have lots'a work at the farm, and I'm a regular at the rodeo so I'd like to wait a while, but it wouldn't be much of a problem fer ya work. Ain't that right?"Applejack added clapping Twilight on the shoulder.

"Well I..." Twilight was unsure of what to say.

"They are right Darling. Out of all of us, only you and maybe Fluttershy wouldn't risk their carriers by having a baby, And I would be totally up for helping you take care of them!" Rarity Said while Fluttershy stammered.

"M-me?!" She squeaked in embarrassment while Twilight felt really happy.

To think they all felt like this about it... But there were still a few more mares.

"But what about the others..." She said a bit insecurely as Rarity rolled her eyes.

"Oh pooh-lease Twilight! I'm sure none of the Princess would mind, and the Pie duo would be over the moon. Little Strongheart is already pregnant anyway so that's also not a problem." She said matter of fact but her words shook Twilight.

"Wait! you know about that?! How?! When?!" Twilight exclaimed looking at Rarity who gave her another eye roll.

"Come on Twilight. You think we wouldn't notice? She isn't exactly sneaky about it." Rarity said with humour.

"And we talked about it with her and we understand. Don't worry Sugarcube."Applejack said reassuring Twilight.

"You could have said something though..." Rainbow Dash added but received a stink eye from the other mares. "...But we get why you wanted to delay the information!" She quickly added with a sheepish grin.

"Not that you needed to really. We understood what we were signing up for when we chose to join a herd." Rarity said in amusement.

Twilight looked at the girls surrounding her and her eyes watered.

"I'm so happy that you are my friends." Small tears trickled down her cheeks as everypony gave her a group hug, not even noticing an excited Pinkie Pie and Meena who joined it after giving the foals back to the Cake couple.

Luna, Little Strongheartand Midnight looked between eachother and shrugged in amusement, before approaching the hugging group that swallowed them without any questions...

Starfall watched the events unfold with not a small amount of confusion, having heard none of their conversation...

In the end he just decided to ignore the sudden group hug, and went to Mrs Cake who without scruples hoofed him the two sleeping foals to hold onto, and he had to stop himself from panicking because of worry of dropping them. They were just so tiny...

Suddenly the doors burst open and everyone looked up surprised to see Princess Celestia walk into the nursery in excitement.

"Tia? You came? I thought you would be stuck in Canterlot." Starfall said, carefully hoofing Mrs Cake the foals and approaching Celestia.

"Oh, I couldn't miss the babies! I always loved seeing newborns, especially when they are of my friends or family." Celestia said giving Starfall a kiss in passing and approached a shocked Mr and Mrs Cake.

Starfall shook his head in amusement and joined her beside the bed, as the panicking parents tried to figure out whether to give her the babies or hug them tighter.

It was a fun day that's for sure...
