I'll Leave It To You

Tsukasa followed his daughter inside the room which was filled with rows of bookshelves with many books on them. The room was 200 square meters with a reading room and a high ceiling with a chandelier hanging from it which illuminated the whole place. This was the study of the house and Tsukasa sat down on the sofa in the reading area.

He saw that Kaori was preparing tea for him and Francesca placed a file in front of him.

"We have gotten all the information about the young man and his family including the people around him." She said and handed the file in Tsukasa's hand who nodded.

He opened the file and saw the condition the boy has grown up in. The frown on his head got deeper the more he read.

Neglect, bullying, beaten by delinquents daily which was instigated by his younger siblings, punished by teachers instead of the delinquents when he complained, and lastly kicked out of the house by his parents at the age of 14.

"Sigh* even if I know there are people like this, it is still hard to face situations like this," Tsukasa said as he saw the papers which had the information about Yuuya and his family.

People can ignore things until it is right in their face.

Francesca nodded she was a bit shocked after she saw how the boy acted when she first met him. His eyes looked blank and his tone was static with an emotionless face devoid of any expressions. If he didn't exchange a little joke with Marin she would've thought that he was a robot.

She was a bit on guard before but after she had investigated his background and how he grew up under constant abuse both physically and mentally from his parents and everyone around him even from his younger siblings. It made sense for him to become like that.

He didn't have a place where he could settle down and rest he was abused at home by the hands of his parents, at school by the delinquents and teachers instigated by his family, and even at his work place where delinquents would come by to cause a ruckus causing the shop owners to fire Yuuya as they didn't want to be involved with a gang as it would make a dent in business in both literal and financial sense.

It was quite understandable for him to be like that. To stay under constant pressure like this from a young age can damage the child's mind severely, she wouldn't be surprised if Yuuya had attempted suicide before.

She had even heard from the neighbors of Yuuya's parents that Yuuya's grandfather from his father's side would always argue with his parents about their conduct almost every time he came by and it would erupt into a big fight.

But they just said that it wasn't 'Them' who were doing anything to yuuya and the old man who was mostly outside of the country couldn't take care of Yuuya properly as he would only come by once or twice a month or in most cases, he wouldn't be coming back for several months.

If it wasn't for his unstable schedule he would've long taken Yuuya under his care and raised the kid himself.

'But, I am surprised that he held on and is currently a writer who is famous online for 'Re: Zero' which Ojou-sama likes to read.' Francesca pushed her glasses up with her finger.

She had also heard there are talks about the novelization and she is quite interested in it as she is quite an avid reader of Web novels.

She also investigated the two women who live with him one's name was Grayfia Lucifuge and the second was Apophis Kingsheart.

Both of the women had looks that far surpassed the human boundaries from what she saw. She investigated their background and didn't find anything unusual about them so she left it as it is.

She found out that Apophis Kingsheart was the caretaker assigned to Yuuya by his Grandfather before he died and Grayfia Lucifuge was the adopted granddaughter of the friend of Yuuya's grandfather Sanroji Shinji who has entrusted her to yuuya's Grandfather before he passed away 7 months ago. She has been living in Tokyo for over half a year now and is home-schooled since she was a child because of her weak body.

She found records that she was adopted from a foreign country when Sanroji Shinji was visiting there on business. That is also the reason for her name, there was nothing shady about the records as well.

And finally, Tsukasa finished reading all of the information

'They put a child through all of this for what? Just because he wasn't good-looking and a bit average in his studies, it is ridiculous, to say the least. It really makes me angry as a parent when I see this.' Tsukasa thought as Kaori came and placed the tea cup in front of him.

"Ojou-sama you know, you could've just left it to me," Francesca said in a polite tone.

"It is alright, Cesca father is rarely home so I want to serve him tea myself," Kaori said with a smile and Cesca nodded.

'…I guess I am not one to talk about parenting here,' Tsukasa thought as he shook his head as he isn't home most of the time because of his work in school and business.

His wife lives in America with his younger daughter to handle the business there. They only come by once a year and the family usually lives apart from one another.

Kaori smiled when she saw that look on her father's face which he would think about how he has neglected his family.

"It's alright Father, I have grown up now so don't worry about it, and please focus on your work," Kaori said because she knew how guilty her father felt about leaving her alone most of the time.

Tsukasa smiled when he heard it as his daughter would always say this to him. He made up his mind to spend more time with his family as he has been thinking of calling his wife back as well because of how dangerous it had become in America in recent months with gang wars between big mafia families.

"So, I take it you have read the information on the young man," Tsukasa asked Kaori.

Kaori nodded saying that she was shocked was an understatement. She never knew that someone who saved her would have lived like this, she is a person who never judges a person by their appearance that is what she has been thought since childhood.

That is also the reason she didn't have much of a reaction when she saw Yuuya's old photo what truly shocked her was how he changed so much in a short amount of time. She was also shocked to know that he was her favorite author.

After sorting out her thought Kaori looked up.

"I have a proposition father," Kaori said as Tsukasa nodded signaling her to continue.

"I want Yuuya-san to join the Ousei Academy," Kaori said while looking into her father's eyes.

"Why is that?" Tsukasa asked as he was curious about her reason.

"It's because Yuuya-san has never had a proper school life because of the constant bullying from the delinquents and teachers as well. I asked Cesca to investigate further and found out that his parents have connections to the school principal and many of the faculty members through this they have been likely making Yuuya-san's life hard at school. So I wanted him to experience proper school life, 'Young people should accumulate all kinds of experiences in their younger days rather than being tied down.' Isn't it the reason why Father started the Ousei academy? So I think it would be a perfect place for Yuuya-san." Kaori said with a soft smile.

Tsukasa nodded at this, he already had the plan of inviting Yuuya to the school on the basis that he was a kind young man who went out of his way to help others in need him helping Kaori wasn't the only time he has helped others.

He had helped people many times when he donated money to orphanages and old age homes which were on the verge of closing down because of the funding issues with his grandfather.

He values this type of person the most, it was also because he helped his daughter or he didn't know what could've happened if Yuuya didn't help her.
