Diary of an abused wife episode 7

Three months later (March)

Everything had been going perfectly for Kameela. They were really getting lots of customers so that meant more earnings. Kameela and Ismail have been falling deeper and deeper into the abyss of love with no care about anything. They talk every single day and they slept late sometimes .

Ismail would go to bed earlier most times since he had to go to his office at the bank quite early sometimes. But would still find time to call her or send her a text message every time he was free. It was a magical experience for them both . Mama was happy with them.

Eventually Ismail also told his parents, that is; Mr and Mrs Muhammad about her and so far they had no issues with everything they heard. Ismail was quite reluctant to tell them because they were Hausa by tribe and Kameela was not.

To God be the glory, they accepted that too. They encouraged him to not waste time in bringing her to them and if the couple were ready they start with the wedding preparations.

Have you felt you had a sixth sense or your conscience keeps nagging about something bad coming your way. Have you had that point in your life that everything was all rosy until something happened, the calm before the raging storm of change. It is called.

Well Kameela was at that point in her life. She couldn't help the constant shivers she felt within her. It was so serious that she had to discuss it with her mother. Mama had told her to pray about it and that everything does happen for a reason. If it turns out she's right then she should accept it as God testing her faith in him.

So she did just that and changed the topic telling her mum about ismail telling his parents about her and that she hoped they really accepted her. Ismail called and she excused herself. They talked for awhile and he even told her everything his parents said. She was indeed happy. They said their goodbyes and ended the call. What could go wrong, she thought.

It was evening and mama was in her room just reading a Hausa novel when she felt a phone ringing and it wasn't hers. She felt around for it and finally found it. It was her late husbands phone ringing from under the pillow where she usually kept it in case some distant relatives called, she picked it up and it was ndagi abbas calling. She was so surprised to see his call that it took her a minute to pick it up.

"Good evening ndagi. How have you been". She started. And that was the start of a very long conversation. Mama told him everything and he was shocked that Abdulraheem was dead and a little pissed that no one reached out to him. He told her his reason for calling that he would be coming back in few days. She was quite happy to hear that and bid him a safe journey back.

After the call ended, she thought to herself if to tell her daughter now or tomorrow morning. Well it's quite late and she was too tired to raise a finger so it was decided she would tell her in the morning. The least they could do was to help clean around the main house and since they had a spare key they could arrange things for him inside too before he came back.
