Day 2

When I woke up the light that was in the cave was greater, my body felt stronger and although the memories about humanity tell me that it is better to walk on two legs and upright, my body handles walking on all fours with ease.

My brothers and my mother were still sleeping but I couldn't care less, curiosity was killing me and I wanted to know where I was, so I went to the entrance of the cave and little by little my eyes got used to the light.

I saw beautiful plants covering the entrance and some ferns outside the cave, the earth had little grass on it and the fir trees that were normally already tall to me now look gigantic.

Perhaps it is because there are wolves nearby that I cannot see any land animals nearby, only some small birds sing on the branches of the trees.

The beautiful environment in front of the cave left me so impressed that I wanted to walk through this forest for a while and satisfy my curiosity but before I could finish leaving the cave my mother appeared next to me and looked at me curiously.

She lowered her head and gently picked me up before taking me to where we were before, even though my mind knows that she won't hurt me, my memories bring an instinctive fear of her.

He left me on the ground next to my brothers and began to lick my fur, perhaps to make me sleep and although I hate to admit it achieved its purpose, I soon fell asleep again.

When I woke up again my brothers were playing and fell on top of me, my mother looked at them while they were playing and with her eyes hinted at me to play with them.

My sister started encouraging me to play with them, or that's what I think since she started bothering me and biting me, even though I didn't want to play with them, my patience ran out and I ended up playing with them until my body couldn't.

Our mother approached and fed us again, while we ate a dark gray wolf arrived a third bigger than the mother, she just looked at him as he approached and did nothing, the wolf brought a hare bigger than us, it had blood in its jaws and it looked like it had already eaten.

He left the hare next to her and then he looked at us, he brought his head towards us and began to smell us, then he walked behind my mother before lying next to her, at that moment my nerves relaxed and I realized that he was my father .

I went back to eating while I watched as my brothers little by little fell asleep, I decided that I should name them since I could not always call them by their nouns.

My mother would be Jennifer, my father Antonio, my brother Gabriel and my sister Emily.

After deciding their names, I was satisfied with my choice and fell asleep again.

I did not know how much time passed but a loud roar woke me up, when I came to my senses I could see that my parents were not with us and my brothers also woke up startled by the roar.

Then the howl of a wolf resounded from a little far away, I approached the exit of the cave and saw under the moonlight how my parents were fighting a bear at about 60 meters.

Along with them were three more wolves that I did not know, one was dark gray and the other two were brown, soon I heard more wolves approaching from a distance, at one point there were 20 wolves fighting against that bear.

I think the bear was playing with them since he did not use his full strength against my parents and the other three wolves before, but now that he was surrounded by 20 wolves and hearing a few more approaching he began to beat them all frantically.

One of the wolves could not escape the anger of his paw and was hit hard against a tree, the other wolves were angry for the wounded wolf and attacked the bear with more ferocity, soon the bear ended up being killed by the pack of wolves.

Seeing the bear lying on the ground I could see that it was 4 times more than my mother, I tried to pass this conversion to meters with my eyes and my mind and I was surprised.

If the measurement of my eyes were correct then it was a very serious matter, my mother would measure 2.5 meters, my father would measure 3.33 meters and the bear would measure ten meters ... these are not measurements that even the terrible wolf that measures almost 2 meters would have reaches them.

The largest bear I know is only three meters long but this one is three times as long. Little by little fear takes hold of me, my small body of half a meter began to retreat back to the cave.

But Gabriel was behind me watching the pack deal with the bear's corpse, only now did I realize that Gabriel and Emily were next to me at the entrance of the cave.

They looked in amazement at the victorious herd, the fear within me calmed down when my mother approached after getting her share of the bear, I don't know how but her bloody mouth didn't scare me this time, it just gave me a comfortable feeling. and dependency within me.

The brown wolf that hit the bear so hard ended up dead and all the wolves howled at the moon lamenting for him, my brothers felt infected by the emotion and made very tender howls, I knew that I should accompany them, to say goodbye and thank the wolf that helped that bear not kill me or my brothers.

Shortly after, my mother took us back to the cave and licked us until we fell asleep.
