5 Sailing, Part II.

21th day of the Second Month of the Burning Sun, year 371 a.G.C.

Today I have finally seen the Captain of the Ship.

Incredibly powerful... I get goosebumps each time I remember when she came out.

We were being raided as usual by monsters, it was a tough fight because the enemies didn't seem to stop, and even two Sea Serpents about as big as the one before appeared, so our Vice Capt had his hands full trying to protect the ship and counterattacking. But, even then, it was a battle we could win, we knew it was a matter of time for sir Leonardo to behead both monsters as they weren't in the same league as him... that was until it came out.

A monster with a huge presence appeared, it was as if it came out of nowhere but I could see sir Leonardo smirking at it at that moment. I have the feeling the monster was there from the beginning and wanted to make an sneak attack to our Vice Capt, but it seems it dropped the idea seeing how the fight was going.

At the moment it appeared, it threw a compressed water spear to sir Leonardo, which he destroyed with a powerful swing using his sword along with his aura, throwing the monsters back a bit so they didn't use that time to sneak attack. Just watching him made me learn a lot of things in terms of how to respond to these kinds of situations, but damn, I have to admit that he is very strong!

At that moment, when the monster wanted to continue attacking, a powerful beam came from the top of ship. I couldn't see very well how that monster evaded it because the blast was incredibly strong, but I could finally see the figure of the monster attacking us.

It stood with its two legs, its back a bit curved and with a ferocious lizard face. It had scales all over its body and a couple of Dorsal Fins. It had a couple of powerful arms with intimidating claws. While it wasn't really big as it stood at a height a bit less than 2 meters, its presence was enormous!

And I could finally see our Captain. She is quite a beautiful woman, a bit tall with short black hair and a pair of serene green eyes. Her body was clad in lightweight armor that didn't look spectacular, but I felt that even if I hit it with all my strength I wouldn't even be able to leave a scratch on it. She had a strange long bow on her hands, it exuded a strong magic reaction that I couldn't help but wonder how much would it cost to have a bow like that.

I couldn't focus much on the rest of the fight as I had to battle against my own enemies, but I could feel my blood rushing like never before. I knew we would win, easily.

Said and done, when I finished to fight against one of the strongest enemies I had ever fought with, I could see two decapitated Sea Serpents and a rain of light beams towards that monster which was already in a sorry state.

When we started recollecting everything that was useful from the monsters, like their cores, body parts and flesh to eat, the Captain just looked towards the front and told us.

"We will be arriving in a couple of days, eat well and prepare yourselves. This time has just been an introduction of what you will face in the future". With that said, she simply went inside the Captain's room and Vice Captain followed, looking with a cold smile towards the battlefield, and for a second, I felt his gaze rest on me.

At that moment I could feel my body tense up, but soon after I relaxed.

After all the things that have happened these days, I have to say that I have become stronger!

And one day I will become as strong as them! Hmph.

Well, now I am very hungry, hope those guys finished cooking.

I shouldn't face the new world with an empty stomach, should I?
