2 Farewell my land!

14th day of the Second Month of the Burning Sun, year 371 a.G.C.

We have sailed!

The boat is incredibly fast! Though I have never been in one to begin with, but this is quite amazing! It was a bit uncomfortable at the first few hours but now I am all fired up! The rest of the crew seems pretty strong, makes me think my friends and I are the weakest here... while that is a relief, I hope I don't become a burden for everyone.

A couple of friends of mine accompanied me to this adventure. Hugh Jin, which I have already talked about, is a guy I met when I first started going to Brisk Training Hall, Brisk the closest town to my village, which is called Dusk. He was pretty much a brat, as he is the third son of the Mayor, he pretty much flaunted his money, was very arrogant, and we fought quite a lot as he picked on me because I came from a village (I had to run each day to the training hall from my village and back). After years of punching at each other we became friends, though I am really surprised he decided to come with me, his reasons were quite simple:

"As the third son of the Mayor I have no chance to inherit my Father's position, so I would have gotten pretty bored being in the house doing nothing, this sparks more of my interest"

Really, what a willfull guy.

My other friend accompanying me is Brian Fin, who, unlike Hugh, became my friend since I started at the training hall, we hit off pretty much because we both came from a village, though his is nearer to the town and more developed than mine. We were pretty much the same in that regard, you could say he was the peacemaker of the group as he is always pretty calm and at ease, however his words are as sharp as his sword sometimes... He is quite a cool guy, and like Hugh, he is a year older than me, but I don't know why the Knight's Academy rejected his application as he is an excellent swordsman... Be it as it is, he said he wants to polish his skills with the sword, and what better place than constant fights in a strange place...

I am starting to consider that maybe I am the normal person of my group...

Well, I have two other friends that won't come with us, but that's because they are pretty much the most talented of the batch, and by that I don't mean just the town.

One of them is Alejandro Grand, the most talented magician I have ever met, though I haven't met many, but he basically surpassed by leaps and bounds the ones I have, including me that I know how to use magic too. What's funnier is that he isn't just a regular magician, as the first son of quite a renowned Knight, he is very proficient in hand to hand combat and his swordskills are on par with Brian. He didn't tell me which Academy he is going to, but I can guess he will probably end up in one of the capital cities. He came here when I was 12, his father decided to relocate himself to this border town because of unknown reasons, and his son pretty much doesn't care why he moved either. Alejandro is pretty much a man of little words and always looks pretty unconcerned, but he is as much of a battle junkie as his magic power, which is ever-growing, and I think he wanted to come with us quite a lot by the look of his eyes.

My other friend is a girl named Yao Yin, frankly the smartest person I have ever met, very proficient at magic, and a born marksman. Be it a bow or a gun, I have never seen her fail an object that stays still for a few moments, and even her dynamic vision is of excellent caliber. She is going to a Research Academy and also was recruited to be a Reserve Guardian. Because she is an orphan like me, she didn't have much strings in this city to want to stay. Her personality is quite a happy go lucky person, but she always look serious on the outside, and she is always ready to help if needed, thus it is pretty funny to be around her... except when she is pointing at you with something and feel that object will go through your skull at any moment...

I have quite a small batch of great friends, though all of us have gone through quite a bit of hardships, but we have managed to stay together... until today, huh. But it was a good parting, I don't regret anything about it. I feel like I am going to meet a lot more people, specially this crew that seems very amusing, I even almost died today haha! Shouldn't have tempted destiny saying that today seems like a great day to die out loud.

Good stuff I managed to save myself hahaha!

...But it is still quite sad to part away, my friends, my family and my home... One day I will come back, stronger than now, and I will make sure to do everything I can to be able to grow to be a person as great as my parents and uncle were! And I have to keep my promise with Alejandro, one day we will fight again, against each other and side by side! If not, that bastard is going to come hunting me...

Well, I think I will end it here today, those guys must have finished throwing up and I have to take care of 'em... What useless people, but I have to say watching them like that has been very funny, heh.

It has been a great day, and I will make sure to make the most of those to come too!
