16 Mission Set!

After getting a call from Michelle, Roland couldn't keep calm any more as he got into his car and rushed to meet her. If it was up to him, he would have waited in the airport for her the minute her flight took off....

Driving at full speed, he suddenly realized something and slowed down

"Gosh, I'm love sick..." he muttered under his breath.

After unpacking everything, Michelle sighed tiredly.

She stared at her phone for a full 20 minutes, contemplating if she should call her father or John. She wanted to, but she was not even sure if they would care.

"Screw it!" she said before dialing her brother's number. It was answered after a few seconds and then Michelle became tongue tied.

"Hello?" John wasn't sure who was was calling, it wasn't a Nigerian number.....

"Michelle?"

"....."

Michelle didn't know what to say, she felt quite content hearing his voice, he sounded well.

"Have you settled down? How are you coping?"

John kept asking questions not minding the fact that she was silent the whole time. "You have to make sure you eat well okay?, And make good friends, don't join bad crowds. Take very good care of yourself and miss me a little" Both of them laughed at that last sentence.

"Thanks....please tell mom and everyone else that I'm doing fine over here" Michelle finally spoke making John sigh. He had missed her voice.

"I will, I'm going to hang up now, I have to do something"

"Okay...." Michelle sighed before putting the phone down. A smile appeared on her lips, they actually had a normal conversation....sort of.

Michelle looked around the dorm room, she was the only one in it.

Her side of the room was painted purple while the other side....the other side kind of looked like an evil witch's domain

The walls were black, the books were black, the pillows were black, the bed sheets were black. It made her quite uncomfortable.... she was quite afraid of what her roommate would turn out to be.....a vampire maybe.....

Michelle laughed at her stupid thoughts and brought out a novel to read.

At least she didn't have to worry about lectures till the next day.

There was a knock on the door, it was light but urgent. Michelle look at the door weirdly before leaving the comfort of her bed.

It was Roland, she was quite surprised to see him there while he was smiling like an idiot.

"How....when did you...."

"I came as soon as I got your text" Roland said before giving her a bag filled with chocolates. "John told me once that you liked chocolates so, this is for you....welcome to New York"

Michelle squealed happily, chocolates were her most favorite things in the world.

She hugged Roland and took the bag from him as fast as lightening.

"Thank you, God bless you!!!"

Roland chuckled, seeing her happy like this was much better than chocolates.

"I better go now.." he said hinting at the fact that this was the girls' dormitory.

"Right....right, thanks for coming" Michelle said still staring at the chocolates.

Not waiting for Roland to say anything else, she closed the door and happily went back to her bed.

Roland stared at the closed door in front of him and began to feel lost and also jealous....jealous of those stupid chocolates!

Some Where in New York.....

"B...boss..."

Carlos glared Martin making him correct himself immediately "Carlos...maybe we shouldn't do this I mean.....your father must be really angry and besides didn't you say you wanted to find that girl? Let's do that...."

"Finding her won't be a problem, now stop acting like a wimp and come with me" Carlos said before walking into his father's study ignoring the shivering man behind him.

Mr Evan was busy looking through some documents when his son walked in. He raised his head up and smiled "What brings you here, Carlos?"

Carlos sighed and sat across his father "I don't want to go to the Philippines yet"

Mr Evan's expression changed as he looked back down at his documents

"And why is that?, What is so wrong with staying with your grandfather?"

"Everything!" Carlos said making his father chuckle "It doesn't change the fact that he is your grandfather and my father....or would you rather go to mexico and live with your mother?"

"Philippines!" Carlos immediately said, he had always listened to his father and then the one time he tries to do something for himself, his father threatens him.

"Good....book a flight tomorrow"

Mr Evan smiled at how easily he could make his son listen to him. Looking at Carlos' frustrated expression, he sighed.

"You can stay here for a few more months....just don't tell your mother I used her to threaten you..."

Carlos nodded vigorously, he was beyond elated.

"Thank you, I won't disappoint you...."

Mr Evan shook his head "Of course you won't, you're going to college"

Carlos's smiled faltered as he stared at his father's smug smile "What?!!"
