10 School Activities
As day turned to dusk, Nikita had changed from the pajamas into her proper school uniform, wearing a white dress blouse and white dress skirt underneath an ornate jacket of midnight black with silver-hued embellishment in the shoulders and lining down the center, the jacket covering from the mid of her breasts down to her outer thigh and contained the golden Academy Sigil along with the emblem of House Dragmir on her right shoulder. The final pieces of her ensemble were her pair of similar midnight black heels and a tinted golden shawl made of material completely transparent and barely a millimeter thick. Nikita retrieved a piece of vellum which had her class schedule recorded, along with directions to where each class was. After a quick examination and returning the vellum back to her inventory, Nikita patted Duke and returned her faithful companion to her shadow. Nikita quickly took a look at herself with assess and head out of her dorm suite and locked the door behind her, then head down to the fourth floor.

The door to the classroom 'Novice Sorcery' opened as various vampires made their way inside including Nikita who was nearly the first one inside. Nikita took her seat near the front next to the same blue-haired vampire male who had initially run into her just yesterday, noticing the vampire bat settled upon the lectern which the teacher would normally stand behind. Two tolls of the bell above within the tallest heights of the Castle signaled that class had just begun, yet Nikita noticed that only about half of the seats within the amphitheater-like classroom were taken. More than a minute later, several students stumbled into the classroom before the giant door came to a shut. The students whispered among themselves how lucky they were to arrive before the professor before Nikita spoke up, "Professor Luteus has been here with us this entire time since we arrived."
As on queue, the vampire bat began to transform into a handsome male standing at six feet tall with jet-black hair shortly cropped and a jet black goatee, wearing a two-piece suit of black and crimson hues. A smile adorned the face of Luteus as his eyes shone with a spark of wit, intrigued that one of his new students could determine he was transfigured despite the fact that he was a master of the ancient vampiric power. He spoke with a hint of curiosity in his alto tone, "Well done, Ms. Nikita! This -WILL- reflect on your grades as well, so remember that next time you're late to class. That aside, let us begin your first day with instruction in Sorcery. Sorcery is basic magic derived from the primal elemental forces of the world and consists of six elements. Can anyone name one of the five?"
"Fire, Earth, Air, Water, Light, and Shadow" responded the blue-haired male sitting beside her, speaking in a bored tone, "Fire is derived from Heat, Earth is derived from Rock, Air is derived from Wind & Weather, Water is derived from... Water & Ice duh. As for Light and Shadow, Light is derived from our world's star and it's learning is extremely Taboo; whereas Shadow is derived from the absence of our world's star and it's learning is Promoted"
"Good job Young Master Alvos. What he said is correct on almost all accounts, as Shadow Magic isn't just tied to darkness but also tied to Illusions. I will be passing along an Aurasphere to each of you, it is a magical tool which can determine the innate affinity of the one who touches it. Once we've passed the Aurasphere around, we'll have a lecture and then break for the day." Professor Luteus said, then began passing the Aurasphere along to the class. Of those who had become landed esquires they tended to have at-least one affinity to two at-most, whereas those from the six noble bloodlines had at-least two affinities and anyone from the three royal bloodlines had more. When the orb was finally passed around to Nikita, she took it into her hands and began to focus mana into it. The orb shone three times in succession, the result was that she had affinity to Air, Earth, and Shadow with the two strongest being Air and Shadow.
Nikita expected the orb to stop there, but then it released a glow which blinded the class momentarily and then revealed a black skull of energy within the orb's face. Everyone within the class looked at her with apprehension until Professor Luteus chuckled and spoke out in an amused tone. "Ahh, who knew we would have a Wizard among us? I see you specialize in the Wizardry of Necromancy, uncommon even among us Vampires. Most don't learn what Wizardry they are inherently connected with until they are at-least Fourth-Years. Now then, why don't you pass the Auraphere on over to Alvos? Then we can move onto the lecture."
Nikita passed the Auraphere to Alvos which like her shone with three colors in Red, Brown, and Black symbolizing the elements of Fire, Earth, and Shadow. Then, just as with Nikita the sphere's clear hue shifted and was replaced by an indigo-hued gate. Alvos then passed the Aurapshere back to Professor Luteus with a grin worn on his handsome face. Luteus cackled, "Two of my first-years are already proficient in Wizardry, what a crop this year - especially with Prince Alvos the second in line to House Trizimere and Princess Dragmir attending my class together, heh. Well then, this was certainly an eventful morning so we'll leave it there for today. Tomorrow, we'll begin with a method to awaken your Magic Root for those who haven't done so then move on to practicing Mana Control. You are dismissed!"
The other vampires left the classroom, all except two. The first was Prince Alvos, the royal vampire standing at five feet and six inches at height with a body handsome beyond belief despite looking to be no older than Nikita herself with shortly spiked blue hair down to the nape of his back. As the the second, it was Nikita herself, staying behind intentionally due to the nagging feeling that this boy wished to speak to her. Out of the blue, Prince Alvos reached down gingerly and took her hand, then kissed it softly. Smiling, Alvos lifted back to full height and then softly spoke to Nikita. "I believe that I was rather rude to you on your arrival, Miss Dragmir and so I would like to apologize. I had no idea that you were of such standing otherwise I would have given you a proper introduction and tour. Perhaps I can make up for it by showing you to our next class? We both have Noble Etiquette next, as do all first years. Now, let me show you the way."
Nikita had half-a-mind to summon Duke from her shadow to sic on Prince Alvos but instead gave a slight nod and fell in line at Alvos' side. She wasn't exactly drawn in by his charms much like others of the Academy may have been especially considering that he was using his bloodline's Mind Control on her at the moment but her own willpower was able to break through his Mind Control most likely due to it's low rank. For the moment, Nikita decided to play along though Alvos would find it hard to make Nikita indebted to him, what with her world-class deception skills which she practiced at home. Nikita smiled and nodded, assessing Alvos and then replied in a lilting tone. "Yes, that sounds like a good idea, please show me the way to our next class."
