13 Chapter 12

" Elden. Age 15. Your magic is space magic. You are the youngest mage to ever rise through the mission difficulties reaching the hardest and being able to complete them.

You are worthy of the captain rank. "

Elden stood silent as the king continued.He didn't enterupt him.

" From what we know you will be placed as the 4th strongest captain in the kingdom. "

" What?!! " Leonardo yelled as he slammed his fist into the table.

" Your magisty I'm sorry for the interruption but I do not think that he is strong enough! "

The king just stayed silent as he looked at him.

" I see.And why? "

" Simple I'm stronger than him. " Leonardo exclaimed.

Elden just stayed silent without saying a word. Inside though,

' Sigh his hot headed symptom kicked in. I may have to fight him. ' Elden thought

" Alright let's test that theory. " The king said. " The rest of you can be judge. "

He looked at the other captain's as they nodded. Leonardo grinned as he looked at Elden and released his mana.

The mana was potent as it cracked the walls a little as the castle shook.

" See this you little pipsqeak!! This is what true power looks like! You aren't strong e

nough and never will be commoner! "

Elden said nothing.

' Really. This is so cliche.Besides there are more ways to use magic. Besides the fifth captain is stronger than you. '

Elden said nothing as he lifted his finger from his crossed arms. Instantly his mana flows out and fell onto everyone.

Most of the people in the room fell to the floor unconscious. The captains and king on the table were shaking from the pressure exerted.

Joker, Lance and Drake were smiling a bit as they had an oppenent to face while the rest tried keep a straight face to show they wernt fear.

Leonardo was frozen from fear. Eldens mana was to dense as he just stood there and stared.

Soon the pressure lifted as Leonardo fell to his knees. He looked up and saw Elden smiling.

His eyes were closed and his mouth was in a smile.

" I'm sorry captain Leonardo. Did you say something? " Elden asked with his face set in the same way.

There was no mana in the air or bloodlust. Elden just stood there as Leonardo was sweating hard, as a puddle was made underneath him.

" Nothing sir. Absolutely nothing. "

Elden said nothing and looked at the rest. The other captain's were looking at him with respect for his strength.

" With that display of power you are worthy of captain rank. With that display you are the fourth strongest captain. "

" Thank you sir. "

" The new trainees will have their exam soon. You can choose who you want then. You can choose other people to join your squad. You may leave. "

Elden nodded as he left.

As Elden walked away he was thinking of the encounter.

' The king acted calm and had a joyful attitude. I don't know if it was real or fake since I don't have a way to read it.His magic was calm though.

Sigh learning how to read ki would be nice but I don't know how that works. For now I'll need to spy on him.

Luckily I managed to make my sense using magic cover the whole kingdom and no one can sense it. Didn't use it since I was focused on gaining strength.Plus I have the communication bugs that I got from the mission in secret.

I can use them to spy on him and the other captain's after I place them in their rooms where they discuss information.

As for the captains I need people inside to check. Getting kids in was easy as I managed to get kids to swear loyalty to me.

They will get me Intel and relay to me. The bugs however can be used in meetings.

For now let's get the news to Karasuma sensei. '

' Alright coffee is down. I have no paperwork. Ear plugs. I'm good. 3.2.1... '

* bang *

" Karasuma sensei! " Elden yelled.

' Yes. He didn't get me. '

" What happened? "

" Well I got promoted to captain. "

" Really that was obvious. "

" True but I have permission to get people to join my squad and you will be the first. " Elden said. Karasuma then spit out the coffee as he coughed.

" Really? "

" Sorry but Why? "

" Simple I need someone to help me with paperwork while we train the recruits. "

" Sigh I can't so no can I? "

" Yep. "

" Fine. "

The bugs in the chapter can be used to spy on other people as they can listen in on conversations.

Place them in a room and they can take the conversation and send it over to the other big that recieves the signals from the one inside the room.
