Chapter-12[Spiritual Fire]
(Xia Dongyi's POV)
I looked at Elder Lin who come out of his thoughts as he had a look of melancholy on his face and waved his hands making the spiritual fire disappear.
Spiritual Fire is necessary for Alchemy if you don't have a Different Fire.
"I think that's enough, now I will be teaching you how you are going to make the spiritual fire and make your special fire, For Junior Yang, it will be Yin Fire, and for Junior Xia, it will be Yang fire." Elder Lin said calmly.
I nodded along with Yang Ruiya and listened attentively.
I think now we are going to learn about how to make the Spiritual Fire.
"For the creation of Spiritual Fire, you need to control the Spiritual Energy in your body and try to change the element or add another element, element of fire in it. Only those who have an affinity with the fire should be able to do this easily but you both...you both should already know how to create a fire right?" Elder Lin asked while looking at me and Yang Ruiya, and we both nodded.
Well, creating a fire is one of the concepts that is taught early on, so, naturally, we know about it.
Elder Lin smiled a little seeing us nodding.
"I see, then the difference between the Spiritual fire and the normal fire is the amount of spiritual energy you are using and how you are compressing it to make the fire dense and increasing the temperature of the fire." Elder Lin explained and extended his hand.
On Elder Lin's hand, a normal orange fire started to form, the fire looked completely ordinary.
This is the normal fire that could be easily created but mine one is even hotter than the one Elder Lin made as he is not serious right now and my Spiritual Energy is purer so mine is hotter.
"This is the normal fire that any cultivator with a little affinity with fire could create easily." Elder Lin said and waved his hand making the fire vanish.
A bitter smile plastered on my face when I heard that along with Yang Ruiya who also had the same bitter smile on her face.
'What easily...it took me two days on learning how to change the element and control it..and that's mainly because of my Yang Physique that I was able to learn it this much early...other disciples took a week to even months just to learn it properly....' I thought bitterly.
"Now, look closely at how I am making. the spiritual fire." Elder Lin instructed and extended his hand.
I and Yang Ruiya focused on his hand completely.
The spiritual energy in light blue color started gathering on Elder Lin's hand and an orb of spiritual energy formed. Elder Lin concentrated a little and the Spiritual energy started to condense in his hand making the orb of spiritual energy smaller and smaller.
After the orb turned fist size, Elder Lin turned towards sitting in front of him.
"This is the concentrated spiritual energy, you could create it but be careful while creating it and make sure to have full control over it." Elder Lin instructed.
Both I and Yang Ruiya nodded.
'But...mine spiritual energy is already way too pure...Do I need to even compress it...and I don't think I could control more compressed energy...' I thought unsurely as my spiritual energy is already way pure than a normal cultivator and compressing it even more is going to make it harder for me to even control it.
'Well, I could just use the simple one....but I wonder why did Mai become so much quiet...?' I wondered.
Right, I haven't heard anything from Mai. She had been completely quiet since the morning.
"Now you need to change the element of this compressed Spiritual Energy into the fire. It is the most difficult thing to do as controlling it is way too much different than the normal fire. You need to put all of your focus on every part of this. It is easy for a Soul Purification realm as they could sense everything happening with just their Divine Sense." Elder Lin explained calmly.
'I see...The divine sense will make it easier for a person to focus on the fire completely...' I concluded mentally.
Yang Ruiya hearing that put on a thoughtful look.
Elder Lin shook his head seeing the expression on Yang Ruiya's face.
I guess he also understands that she may be thinking of roaming around or some other stuff.
"Now Focus." Elder Lin said making both of us come out of our thoughts.
I and Yang Ruiya both focused on Elder Lin who is still controlling the compressed spiritual energy in his hand.
"Listen carefully, the changing of the element in the Normal Spiritual Energy is easy because it will accept it, but in the compressed one, you need to dedicate your entire focus to caring for it to not become unstable. I am going to show you how to do it without the use of my divine sense." Elder Lin said while focusing on the compressed spiritual energy.
I and Yang Ruiya look at the compressed spiritual energy intently and see it starting to change from lightish blue to deep blue in some parts before becoming completely blue and it starts to rage like normal fire with waves appearing on it.
'...Ahhh...I see, so Elder Lin changed it slowly while controlling everything making sure it remain stable but before he directly created it while making the pill....so this is the difference..' I thought understanding the difference in how easily Elder Lin made the fire before and now.
Yang Ruiya looked at the fire with interest.
"Now, you are going to practice making the fire first." Elder Lin instructed.
I and Yang Ruiya nodded and extended our right hand.
"Do it one at a time." Elder Lin said seeing us doing at the same time.
Nodding our head, I indicated Yang Ruiya to so it first.
Yang Ruiya extended her hand and her spiritual energy started gathering in her hand forming a small orb of light blue spiritual energy.
"I think this much is enough for the first try." Elder Lin said making sure that she doesn't go overboard in collecting more energy than she could control on her first try.
Yang Ruiya nodded and stopped sending more spiritual energy and then tried to compress the energy which is already in her hands. At first, she had many problems controlling her spiritual energy but after some time, she compressed it.
"I think that's enough....else you are going to blow that." Elder Lin said calmly seeing that Yang Ruiya compressed enough spiritual energy for her first try.
It looks like Elder Lin is on full alert as if a single thing goes wrong, he should be able to act on time.
Yang Ruiya nodded and tried to change the element while I observed her closely, 'I didn't get it...Ruiya could control the Yin Qi at her fingertips, even better than me but she can't do the same with the Spiritual Energy...I wonder why? Even the Grand Elder was confused by this..' I wondered again thinking about the condition of Yang Ruiya.
'Wait...everyone around me is surrounded by some mysteries..aren't they? Even myself....' I concluded mentally.

(Yang Ruiya's POV)
A thoughtful look appeared on my face when I heard the benefits of Divine Sense.
I mean, I could easily sense things far away with ease if I had the Divine sense and even sense some places that I want to travel around.
Ohh...
Elder Lin's voice woke me up and my thoughts started to compress his spiritual energy.
It looked quite easy...
I mean, he looked to be quite frank even though it shows like he is serious about it.
Ohh.. the fire looked quite fascinating, I wonder what my fire will be like.
Elder Lin said it's our turn, so I and Senior Sister Xia extended our hands only to get ordered again that we should do it once at a time.
Can't he say everything at one time?
I looked at Senior Sister Xia, who indicated I do it first.
Even though she is more excited about alchemy, she still let me do things first.
How cute she is and caring.
I nodded and extended my hand, and started amassing my Spiritual Energy in my hands.
It was kinda easy but I wasn't able to think like this for too long as I felt the Spiritual Energy becoming too much but before it could get out of control, Elder Lin instructed me to stop amassing more and I nodded and stopped gathering.
I peeked at Senior Sister Xia who looked completely focused on me, in case something happened.
She is too caring and I like that!
I focused on the Spiritual Energy in my hand and started compressing it.
I take my words back.
It is not easy, not even a single thing about this is easy. I need to maintain my focus all the time to make sure that the Spiritual Energy stayed in control.
If I lost my concentration for a moment, I know that the Compressed Spiritual Energy will go out of control at that moment it will be like a boom that happened whenever the Master's furnace exploded for not concentrating enough.
But I don't get it...
I could control the Yin Qi at my fingertips, it is the easiest thing for me to do but why can't I do the same with the Spiritual Energy, I wonder why?
Well, after some time, I was able to gain control over my Compressed Spiritual Energy after compressing it enough.
Now I need to change the Element...
huh... I am not thinking that it will be easy this time...
