1 Prologue

"Each of us have a place in this world. Some sit here where I stand. At the top of the food chain, and idiots like you are there.'' He pointed towards the ground. "The bottom of it. You know what those at the top do to those on the bottom right?" Alex leaned his face dangerously close to Dolan's. "They eat them."

Dolan's face was frozen in horror. He lay prostrate upon the cold marble floor, his arms and legs having given out already. Everytime he tried to pick himself up, his hands would slip on the blood covering the ground, causing his face to splash into the thick pool of blood.

"I'm telling you Dolan. I've tried telling you so many times." Alex said, walking back and forth in front of Dolan. "There is more to this life than what you know. This." He said, raising his arms up, "Is only the beginning. Why do you think your father murdered your mother? Why do you think we are fighting this fight? There are powers greater than you and I could ever imagine, and I will find them."

Dolan tried to scurry away, frantically flailing his body in a sorrowful attempt at escaping. "Just give up. Concede. Repent and I'll let you live" Alex said, kneeling next to Dolan.

'Go to hell!' Dolan spat, blood and spit flying from his mouth.

Alex sighed, "It's a shame really. What a tragic and short life you are going to live." Alex flaunted his knife back and forth. "Kind of ironic though is it not? You led so many to their deaths. And for what? You weren't even right! What an idiot. Believing that bastard of a father you have. You might be a prince, but you are nothing but fodder. Barely even considered a meal." Alex's lips pursed, and his brow folded in. "This is fitting for you though. You lived as a weakling and you'll die as one. Alex stopped walking right in front of Dolan's face. Kneeling down, he spat, "Maybe you'll be reborn as a hungry god hell bent on revenge and you'll devour me. Hmph! Well," Alex said laughing, "Enjoy death." Baring his teeth in a devilish smile, Alex extended his claws, and drove them right into Dolan's skull, killing him.
