"How did this happen?"

"How can you tell me 20 shinobi disappeared without a trace?"

"Calm down elder Shinso, whoever attacked them must be very skilled, to not leave even a drop of blood. This doesn't change anything elder Shinsu, We still have to complete the mission."

"Shigeru-san, are you stupid?, someone came here, killed 20 Hyuga clan shinobi, who all possess the Byakugan, then strolled out without making a sound, or even leaving a trace, and you're still talking about the mission. We have to turn back."

"We have no other option elder Shinsu, if we want peace in this cursed world then we have to see the mission given by Hashirama-sama to its end, even at the cost of your lives. Our descendants would be proud knowing we laid the foundation for the peace they'd come to experience."

"Shigeru-san, pass the message: everyone should be on the lookout for an ambush, we'd be leaving in 2 hours."

"Haii Shinsu-sama."

*No one noticed the already retreating shadow.*

"How did the mission go Indra? did you succeed? It's fine if you had to escape, we'd just have to attack them head-on." The clan-head fires in quick succession with a depressed tone already expecting bad news from his son.

"Yes the mission was successful father, I took care of every Hyuga clan shinobi," Came the reply from Indra.

"As much as I don't want to do this, we have to split our forces into two. You and I would lead the best of our shinobi forces to attack the approaching enemy, we need to reduce their numbers and force them through this pass. Although we don't have Hyūga clan members with their Byakugan to worry about anymore, we don't know if they have any other traditional sensor."

"That's not exactly wise father if we attack them head-on we'd lose. You should know that already."

"I know that Indra, but if we leave it to chance and they just happen to have a skilled sensor, our planned ambush, and even killing the Hyuga clan shinobi would be for naught. It's a tough decision but this is what was decided when you weren't here," Says the clan-head with a tired sigh.

"This!!, I have a better idea father, at least most of us won't die this way. We'd still attack them head-on but I'd go ahead of everyone else, If there's a skilled sensor amongst them, then I'd use the carnage caused by the attack to assassinate them. The moment I do that I'd release a signal to call for our retreat, this way we can draw them directly to the ambush spot. Listen for an explosion amongst the enemy shinobi, that would be your signal to retreat."

"How would you notice the sensor then Indra?"

"I don't need to look for the sensor father, they would sense the approaching shinobi force and then alert everyone else, I just need to hide until you mount your attack."

"Ok, let's do as you say, Indra."

"Ok father, let me go prepare," I reply to him while turning around ready to leave.

"Indra"

"This may be the last time we have a conversation so I just wanted to let you know this. I'm so glad I got to be your father Indra, and I'm truly sorry for how I forced you to grow up early, I hope you don't hate me but I did the best I could to prepare you for your role as the next clan-head." The clan-head says while giving me a warm hug.

"I don't blame you at all," I could feel his body relax just a little bit upon hearing my reply.

[Indra POV]

A couple hours later,

I hid at the top of a tree, with my chakra completing hidden, watching the marching enemy shinobi forces while waiting for my father to get with range, therefore commencing the attack.

'If there's a sensor among them they'd be able to sense the approaching Nokizari clan forces in about 5 minutes'.

*Byakugan*

With my Byakugan now activated, I can now see the chakra of everyone within a 10km radius, sensing the chakra of everyone with my main focus on the 300 shinobi coming towards me, just waiting for any change in the chakra of anyone that person is most likely the sensor.

There!!

I sense a slight fluctuation in the chakra of 5 people at different positions in the shinobi force. Already marking them as the sensors, while noting their positions.

'I could attack now,' I thought but it's better to attack during the carnage, then it would not look as suspicious as it would be if 5 sensors drops dead all of a sudden, our enemies would be more vigilant if I do that.

"Enemies ahead," One of them screams suddenly alerting everyone else to the rapidly approaching Nokizari forces.

The moment one of the sensors shouted "Enemies Ahead," the enemy shinobi forces became alert, unsheathing their swords, kunai, or whatever weapon they preferred, ready for a fight. You have to always be ready for a fight in order to survive after all.

The moment both sides collided, it was already obvious which side had the upper hand. One side had almost 300 shinobi and overall greater individual strength, while the other side barely 80 shinobi with that number dropping rapidly.

I immediately shot out 5 chakra rods with explosion tags attached to them, the explosion would be the signal needed to call for a retreat.

*puchi* *puchi*

*Katsu*

*boom*

Chakra rod hitting the target and then exploding, killing a couple more shinobi in the process. I jump down smiling at the successful mission and the chaos an explosion right in the midst of the enemy shinobi causes.

*Retreat!!!!!!*

About 40 Nokizari shinobi remained by the time the signal to retreat was given, over 30 shinobi dead in less than 5 minutes.

'I should whittle down the numbers a bit more, with the losses incurred the coming fight would even be harder than it was going to be.'

Ash coloured bones continually shot out of my outstretched palm, reaping the lives of the enemy. They'd be no body remaining due to how the all-killing ash bones work. The bone and target deteriorate at a molecular level, disintegrating the victim and reducing their bodies to nothing more than a pile of ash. 'Very scary ability, and combined with my sukunahikona, I could literally kill any one without them even realising how they died, by just shrinking the one-shot bone.'

By the time I was done having fun with the all-killing ash bones about 150 enemy shinobi remained.

'This should be enough,' I thought already making my way to the ambush location.

'Oh, they've stopped chasing my clan shinobi already, this is great for us then, we'd have enough time to rest and I'm sure they'd rest too, obviously, they can't turn back and return to their respective clans, how would they explain losing half of their forces while outnumbering the enemy 3:1. They would definitely try to wipe us out, to justify their losses.'
