94 Living Tattoos

"What? Can you see them?" Galahad asked. He didn't realize the dwarf was staring straight at him.

Regin was very confused and nearly speechless at his findings with the lens. He gestured at Galahad's chest, but the human couldn't understand the meaning.

"Take yur damn shirt off! They're inside you!"

Galahad's eyes grew wide and he was very concerned with that sentence. At first he thought Regin was accusing him of eating them, then the reality of not knowing when he set down the elementals made sense, he never did set them down.

Galahad pulled up on his cotton shirt and noticed the black marks from his back stretched heavily around his shoulders and over his chest as well.

Beneath the dry burns from the phantom, he saw a faint ripple of colors. Galahad knew for a fact that he had no tattoos or oddly colored markings.

As soon as he noticed, a new message appeared in his vision.

[ Mana Calibration Complete, Remove Mana Crystals? ]

[ Yes ] [ No ]

"Y-yes? They aren't mine to keep." Galahad said aloud.

After a brief moment, Galahad and Regin watched a circle of five different colors glow and leave his chest. Rifts opened up around his skin as if they were torn open from the inside, each stone fell to the floor with a loud clatter.

The holes resealed as quickly as they formed. Once the last one fell, more messages appeared.

[ New Opportunity of adjustment found: Evolution of Weapon Slot Commencing ]

[ Weapon Slot . . . . . . . . . Magic Weapon Slot ]

Galahad watched as a new skill of some kind develop, yet he never thought too much about it before.

'The first day I unlocked all these skills, there was armor slots and a weapon slot, but I only ever figured out the armor. I didn't even think about the ability to keep a weapon on my person.'

Since all his abilities only required him to will it, Galahad imagined a switch in the back of his mind, right next to the one for his armor and Mimic's Voice.

[ Weapon Release ]

The black sludge that would remove and conjure Galahad's armor appeared, only this time it appeared only in Galahad's hands. In just a brief second, it formed the two bowing knifes.

It the same set used by the Elder mimic poising as Keyna two nights before.

While Galahad was quickly figuring out a previously hidden skill and being amazed at the fact that he could carry a weapon alongside his armor, Regin was now fully shocked.

Why wouldn't he be? He watched Galahad's chest bleed out his stones and right after, released two weapons from his hands with the same black liquid that hid his armor.

Before Regin asked what the hell was happening, Galahad stood up and started getting excited.

"Do you have a magic weapon? Or anything enchanted with a certain element?"

Regin wanted to argue what the hell he was on about, but then Galahad ducked around a stack of boxes and found something.

It was an Ignition Pen, a metal rod the same size as a pen with a leather grip on one end, then a bright orange crystal the size of a teardrop on the other.

A basic tool used to light the starter for candle instead of matches and common enough that almost any household would have one. Galahad picked it up and focused on it.

[ Substituting Weapon Slot A ]

The black substance consumed the ignition pen the same way his armor disappeared.

[ Fire Weapon Contained ]

Galahad was estatic, he now realized that instead of lugging around only the giant magic sword that would give him away in a crowd, he could wearing smaller weapons on his belt, but keep the lightning sword by his side.

He was so happy about the idea of keeping more reliable weapons on his person, he nearly missed the next message across his window.

[ Weapon Contained, Passive Skill Aligned ]

[ Reveal using Passive Skill? ]

[ Yes ] [ No ]

'Reveal? What passive skill is trying to reveal?'

Before accepted the unknown function, Galahad looked over the list of skills he currently had.

He doubted any of the potion based skills were trying to interact, and the one that caught his eye was the newest skill he had earned that morning.

[ Mimic's Skin ]

Galahad had an idea what the ability might do, but he was really curious to test his theory.

"Confirm." He stated confidently in hopes he wasn't wrong, there was more than one possible way for the skill to react. It could turn his skin jelly colored like a real mimic or maybe give him their strange teeth. It was a gamble he took with great amounts of false confidence.

An itching sensation ran along his skin, it started getting worse around his forearm as it faded elsewhere. He looked down at his arms and watched them transform.

A sort of ink started appearing beneath his skin, moving like it was alive with a clear purpose. The shapes and details slowly started forming until ten seconds past of watching.

When Regin emerged behind him, Galahad was able to turn and show off his newest trick.

On one arm, he had a perfect replica of the bowing knife and on the other was the ignition pen. It didn't seem too much like an important skill, but the fact that Galahad knew he could change his skin at Will was certainly useful in some ways.

Camouflaging and disguising himself by changing his skin tone or making false features could help immensely with hiding his identity in the dungeon.

He was even thinking about having to ditch the idea of getting another mask. Then one more idea sprang into his head.

"I wanna go home and try this out with the sword."
