5 Chapter 4 - First Quest
Hey I'm going to try to write this chapter in third-person let me know what you think about it. i'm just going to try different things and learn on the way. On to the chapter now.

After arriving at the quest board he sees quite a few quests on it like gathering plants and chores as well as subjugation quests with various levels of difficulty. After a few minutes of examining the different quests on the board he decided to go on an easy looking quest.
Quest: Subjugate 10 slimes
Reward: 10 copper, additional 50 copper pieces per extra core
Location: Plains outside the gate
After grabbing the quest off the board he took it to the counter again and said. "Excuse me, I would like to accept this quest."
"Are you sure even though slimes are weak they still are dangerous." she asks with a worried look on her face. "Don't worry, I am confident in myself." He says
"Alright then but be careful." Dante then left.
He then headed toward the gates of the town and exited them. Then he went to the location of the quest and saw the slimes just bouncing around.(AN: Just think of Rimuru but with a monster core). As he looked around he decided to inspect them.

Dante then decided to attack the little slime but he then realized that he had no weapon. In a panic he searched around the field for something to use as a weapon until he saw a sturdy branch, when he saw the branch he decided to inspect it.

He picked it up and decided to attack the slime. he ran up to the slime as fast as he could an swung the branch at the slime,the slime tried to dodge the branch but failed seeing this Dante then proceeded to swing the branch again trying to hit the slime and sometimes he succeeds and other times he missed it. After he killed the slime he hears a *DING*

Dante jumps around with a happy expression on his face then realizing how childish he was acting that he decided to calm down. After he calmed down he decided to eat the core to find out what new ability he would gain from it. When he consumed the slime's core he heard an audible *DING*

Slime Clone Lvl 1/10 : ability to make clones out of slime +1 clone per level.
When he finished looking over the skill he went to kill more slimes. After a few hours he finally finished killing the requested amount of slimes but decided to keep going and kill some more slimes to get more money as although he had enough money for now it couldn't hurt to get more would it? He didn't think so, so Dante spent the rest of the day killing slimes and collecting cores. He didn't think it was important to level up his newest skill at the moment and just decided to sell them all.
Then he looked at his status page.

When he saw that he gained a level he was satisfied with the amount he killed and he noticed that the sun was setting so he decided it was time to head back toward Town. When he was on the road back to Town he saw that there was only the guard outside the gate but there was nobody else. Luckily it wasn't the racist guard but the nice guard standing there instead so he walked up to him and said.
"Thanks for earlier."
"Not a problem, I've never liked the way he discriminated against people for no reason." The guard continued "What brings you to Ormarsh traveller." He asked nicely.
"Not much just trying to make a living by being an Adventurer." Dante replied and then just walked on by. Once he walked past the gates he headed toward the guild to turn in his quest when he arrived at the guild he walked up to the reception desk. "Hey there I'm here to turn in my quest." He said to the receptionist that he talked to originally. "What already!?" She exclaimed. "Adventurers usually take way longer to finish their first quest." She said bewildered at how fast he finished the quest.
"Was I really that fast?" He asked, confused.
"Yes." That was all she said after that.
"Well can I turn my quest in?" Dante asked nicely.
When the receptionist heard what Dante said she snapped out of her stupor "A-ah sure." She said embarrassed. Dante then handed the receptionist a small bag of slime cores and when she received them she was even more dumbfounded at the amount not because of the amount but at the fact that a porcelain rank adventurer managed to get 124 slime cores on his first quest. But the receptionist decided not to waste anymore time and directly paid Dante 14 Copper and 500 Copper Pieces. When Dante received the reward he asked the receptionist where he could find a blacksmith to make him a sword and an inn to stay at and the receptionist happily told him the directions to the blacksmith and the inn so Dante decided to leave after saying goodbye to the receptionist. After he exited the guild building he made his way to the blacksmiths first to get a sword and some light armor.
