They meet again.

However, it was too late. The girl swiftly escaped and mixed into the guests. It is as if she is aware that someone is coming for her.

Robert cursed himself for underestimating her.

He thought that she was some uninvited guest and would leave soon after the funeral ended.

It seems like he has judged her wrongly. She was here with some ulterior motives.

"Boss-" even before Robert could alert his boss, he realized that his boss was no longer standing beside him.

Only after looking around, he realized that his boss was already walking towards the exit. Unhurried yet alert.

"Chief, that lady dodged the security and slipped through the south exit." Robert heard from the ace member of the team.

'Did my boss already notice something suspicious with the south exit?' Robert thought in awe as he looked at his boss.

No matter how vigilant she is, she is clearly outnumbered.

Though she managed to leave the cemetery gates, she wouldn't be able to leave this mountain. Not under their watch.

After exiting the cemetery, she tightened her scarf and was about to leave but she caught the wind of the people discreetly surrounding her premises.

She grunted in frustration. She hoped to leave unnoticed by anyone but it seems like luck was not on her side.

As she couldn't escape these people, she decided to handle them in a secluded place. This is the least she could do as she didn't want certain someone to know that she is here, back in the country.

Or, it might cause some suspicions and rumors about the reason for her visit. Which she couldn't risk now, especially with that old couple dead.

Turning around, she walked towards the forest as it is the only way that could increase her chance of escaping.

However, mid way, she crashed into a man and her forehead bumped against his sturdy chest. She knew that he deliberately did this. She knew that she got caught!

However, before she could take cation, he grabbed her shoulders and locked her wrists behind her back.

The girl grunted in pain and in her defense, she made an attempt to hit him and escape, however, before she could make any move, he pulled her closer to him and tightened his grip on her wrists to prevent her from attacking her.

Due to the sudden yank, her body collided into his, making it more difficult for her to escape from his grip.

He could tell that her strength is outstandingly impressive for her petite body but it paled in comparison to his. Moreover, he is in advantage given their positions.

She uttered a curse and her eyes turned menacing with helplessness. She doesn't like when someone gets close to her like this.

She detests the physical interaction the most.

However, surprisingly his touch didn't disgust her. She didn't feel any animosity towards the touch and on contrat, she felt her skin warm up. She couldn't help but get stunned as this is a rare encounter.

Meanwhile, Robert who just walked to them was stunned by the intimate position of his boss and the mystery girl who had a scarf covering her face. As he could see that she was strong enough to escape from his boss's clutches, he didn't try to take control of her from his boss. What if she escapes again? It's an unnecessary hassle!!

"Who are you? What is your connection with the Danvers family?" Robert enquired after he recomposed himself.

When he didn't get any response from her, he frowned. He could see the stubbornness in her bluish gray eyes which are alluring yet intimidating. And, she seemed a bit dazed as well.

"Miss, I am asking you one last time, what is your business here?" He questioned again, holding on to the last strand of his patience from shredding away.

However, met with silence, he clicked his tongue in annoyance and looked at his boss.

"Take the scarf off her face." Robert heard his boss say.

With that Robert tugged at the scarf which was covering her face. At least by seeing her face, he could try to understand who she is and what she is thinking.

When she heard the cold and intivoice, she spun her head up, just at the right time to look into his bottomless eyes.

And, as soon as their eyes locked with each other, she stopped struggling, and her entire body froze. At the same time his harsh grip on her wrist loosened as if he was afraid of hurting her.

She couldn't blink her eyes while she gazed at him in daze and he is no different. The world around them suddenly froze and the people around them didn't matter anymore.

His chiseled face, those seagreen bottomless eyes, his parted lips… those brought so many memories that her indifference broke, shredding off the mask of cool and aloofness from her eyes. Right now, her eyes filled with the emotions even she couldn't fathom.

He was no different. As soon as the scarf was removed, he couldn't help but get stunned.

The intimidating and bloodcurdling aura around him dispersed, making him approachable and humane.

The icy look melted and for the first time in years they worked for him, they saw the gentleness and emotions surging into their boss's eyes. This is the first time their boss looked shocked and stunned.
