41 The Elf or The Egg? (side story)

"Damn Merchants! Telling me they have no hatchable eggs..."

A heavily dressed Jenkins was currently roaming around in a poor town, filled with old and broken buildings of all sizes. The wood which held them togheter was both chipped and half rotten. Giving of a woody stench which combined with the wet dirt road filling the excess space.

"What is Michael doing in that damn forrest anyways? Tsk, he better have an excuse for this great lord, lest I turn his little brother into a talking snake."

Each step taken sunk his thick boots further into the wet earth, increasing the growing annoyance and desire to give up every time.

'This auction better be worth it, or this great lord shall sink this wetland into the fiftth floor of hell.'

Slowly, Jenkins approached some half ruind building, looking like it hadn't had any visitors in several centuries.

He walked up to the fungus covered entrance and gave a weak knock.

"Who's there?"

A deep manly voice echoed on the other end.

"Yellow reaper."

Without answering this time, the door only slowly opened itself. A tall buff man with a cap on his head greeted him while stepping to the side.

"This way, esteemed guest."

Jenkins only snorted, proceeding to following the him in whilst the door closed behind them.

He was lead through a rotting passage, and finally arrived in a large hall filled with several rows of occupied leather seats, all surrounded a small wood stage. Numerous cloaked men and women were sitting down, waiting for what seemed like a show to begin.

As he walked towards one of the empty spots near the middle row, some cloaked guy walked up on the stage, standing before them and proceeding to yell out. Making sure that his deep voice echoed throughout the room.

"Dear guests! I welcome you to the yearly auction here at The black Bell!"

No one in the crowd clapped. Only some familiar faces smiled or nodded back at the host.

Seeing the impatiant audience made him hasten the introduction. Not wishing to waste any more time, he then started clapping his hands in the air. Symbolizing for the auction to begin.

"Good! Good! Then let us begin..."

A tray covered in some type of black carpet was rolled onto the stage by some well equipped guards.

"The first items for tonight is a set of martial art manuals and battle arts suitable for general layer fighters! The starting bid is..."

All kinds of different weapons and training books were displayed, one after the other. While this may cause any other individual to fly off into a frenzy, Jenkins almost felt the soul leave his body every time a new item was shown.

'Dammit, why did I even come here again?'

He was getting increasingly bored and frustrated by the terrible items and was planning on leaving.

That is, until..

"And now, for our last bidding round!"

A small table was teleported before the excited auctioneer. Covered in the same type of rug all the other usually had.

"These items are not your typical weapons or books, but the plundered fruits of research belonging to one of the most famed Magus-Biomancers of our time!"

The rug was dramatically pulled off. Gliding through the air while revealing the objects underneath.

A variation of different surgical gadgets and organs were evenly spread out. The equipment was all cleaned, and the weird organs were stored in jars. Most likely to keep them from rotting.

"Kelen Innar. The biomancer who once slaughtered his way into the heart of the beast continent and back. He was confirmed to have went into hiding many years ago."

"However, while he is gone for now, several of his old hideouts and facilities still remain hidden to this day! And not too long ago, we found one. Resting deep withing the now cut down hellgreen woods!"

Jenkins's eyes wandered over the tray filled with meatballs and knifes, finally landing on a small stand storing three different colored orbs. Each one in a seperate tubes.

"All the organs here are in the 'Biokinetic enhancement' category! Meaning you can replaced them with your own, boosting and adding a superior bloodline to the body!"

He paused a second, making sure all was heard.

"And best of all, our researchers have found out that there are currently no negative side effects!"

Several of the guests opened their eyes after hearing what he said. Infusing different bloodlines into ones body would usually cause all sorts of mutations and after effects down the lane. But here, non were discovered.

This was most likely because the previous owner had made them perfectly compatible with the anatomy and genome of a human.

The biomancer should have created several generations of clones, slowly adapting each organ to perfectly fuse with a host of race to his own.

The auctioneer watched as the crowd tensed up, and he smiled deeper while moving over to the last items.

"And last but not least, are these three beauties!"

He pointed his big fingers towards three Similarly shaped chicken eggs, peacefully and lifelessly resting inside their own capsule. The two closest to him were both green in color with blue dots covering most of the shell, while the last one was pure white, no different than any other egg.

"We originally found four of these eggs. However, as we looked into what secrets they held, one came in contact with a small the spit of a lizard..."

"And to our suprise, the egg then hatched itself, creating an almost perfect copy of the same reptile."

"The newly hatched one was found to possess several different mutations and traits which were not present on the other one. That, and an unfathomable increase in all attributes belonging to it's speed, strenght, stamina, you name it!"

"All it took to create this empowered clone was but a sample of another animal! Imagine what you could create if choosing something other than a puny lizard!"

After finishing, the cloaked auctioneer rubbed his hands togheter and then widely stretched them out.

"Now, we will begin with the eggs. Place your bets carefully, as each will be bought separately. Lets start with the white one!"

After he finished, several different bidders started screaming towards the stage.

.

"Four hundred gold!"

"Six hundred gold!"

"Nine hundred gold!"

"One thousand gold!"

.

Hearing the increasingly higher bids formed a even more mischievous grin on the auctioneer's face, who was now planning on raising the price even more.

"These are not some cheap items made for showcasing! Let's increase it by another thousend gold.."

As several men and women shouted out their prices, a sudden dark energy covered the room. Forcing everyone who stood up to be slam back down into their seats.

"100 GOLD OR I'LL BLOW THIS F***NG GARAGE SALE INTO OBLIVION!"

.....

The shocked auctioneer starred into the crowd, looking for the voice who had just threatened him and his goldmine.

'Hmpf, someone actually dares to spout nonsense in my hall?'

Planning to call in some guards, the robed man slowly raised his had towards a hidden figure he was suspecting.

That is, until he saw the facial features hiding underneath it's hood.

'Wait, is that the yellow reaper?!"

While keeping his poker face grin on top, he humbly talked back to the one who interrupted the bidding round.

"S..Sir, these are very valuables gained through the sacrifice of many.."

The robed Jenkins only seemed to get further annoyed. Standing up and aiming his hand towards the fool before him.

"Dark Magic: Bullet Of Torm.."

"SOLD TO THE YOUNG MAN OVER THERE!! CONGRATULATIONS!"

.....

Jenkins walked out of the rotting building. Now holding onto a small capsule containing a small egg.

"Seems like the old man was faster than me..."

He looked down at the capsule, wondering what to do now.

'If what that guy said is correct, then I should use the blood of a hundred ducks for my creation...!'

A strong determination burned itself all over his beautiful facial features. As it grew, a gust of wind knocked his hood of, letting the long golden rope sway majestically througg air, while he silently promised something towards the heavens.

"This is quite a find...."

"I will make this duck the most powerful one in this entire world.. A duck who shall feast upon the flesh of Gods..!"

"No one will be able to stop me!"

And so he marched on into the wilds. In search the sacrifices needed to finish his grand plan.
