1 Devil's Void

What we though was gonna be a flawless quick battle without any injuries on our side…was completely wrong. What was ten hours on the field seemed like years and years of pain. It was winter and the time what we survivor's call the Devil's Void period and what others called the Fall of Ashes period. What they say in the stories were wrong, they weren't there for it, I know the truth because I was there for it.

Winter, DEVIL'S VOID, Fallen era.

The sky was covered with blurry dark clouds. Our Ships flew through the air piercing those dark clouds, as we hurried in order to get ready for what we were going to know our final fight. Descending from the clouds to was another ship next to me in a needle shape with bright colors of green and blue covering it.

Turning on my radio I already heard a sarcastic sigh, "Hey Mia I still can't for the life of me how you like that thing."

"I know you told me this like a hundred times why are you still going on about it?" Her voice gave off that she was annoyed.

"I don't know, it just looks stupid, I mean come on IT's A NEDDLE what more can I say." My voice gave off a serious tone than it should've.

"Keep talking Shin and I'll send you to the other side." Mia threated with a smug tone.

Knowing her I shut off my radio because after being on scouting missions with her I can tell she's not messing around. A few minutes passed by with pure silence and up a head was our base of what we were assigned to. Stone gray walls surrounded it, giving it that military look along with guards in every open area to the base there is. White snow engulfed the what was a emerald grassy ground.

"Hey what do you think is so important that they called us back from our recon mission in such a hurry." I turned on my radio hoping to not fall to the ground.

"Who knows, maybe the war is over, and we can go home." Mia hope it was that.

"Heh yeah right, like they would be that nice," I chuckled as we were landing on the top of the base with other ships in sight, "but still it's a little worrying this hasn't happened before."

Mia jumped out of her ship hitting that stone ground, "Well we will see what they have to say."

Doing the same I jumped out of my ship and nodded at her. Taking off her helmet the wind blew through her short jet-black hair. Her pale skin seemed to blend in with the snow that falls from the clouds making her easy to miss especially with her white armor and cloak she wears. Mia started to walk to stairs that lead to another platform to enter the base in order to look for some food. I followed her hoping to have time to relax before having to deal with the annoying orders we were gonna be given. Waving to other soldiers that seem to be in a haze to figure out why their also here. Being the cold person Mia was she shrugged them off and went running straight to the cafeteria as fast as light. Standing alone in the freezing cold I looked to see if there was new on what was going on, checking the holograms screens to asking everyone what in the world was happening hoping to find some answers. To my surprise everyone that was called knew nothing on why they were called, especially some higher ups did know a thing and to top it off even those who where barely at the base where there. Finally, going inside I went to the cafeteria since I haven't any good food in a while only living off of beef jerky and some disgusting bars that feel like my jaw will break with every bite. Reaching the cafeteria, I wasn't in the slightest surprised that Mia was still there from what it seems a buffet of food around her.

"I know you're hungry but man this is something." I approached her with a plate of curry in my hands sitting across her.

"Hmph," Mia turned her head from looking at me still eating her juicy steak. "keep talking like that and you won't last for another second."

I took that daring threat, "I mean I'm surprised that you are able to keep you're skinny and slim body."

The next thing I knew was that sweat started to fall down from my neck. And a sharp silver knife was at my neck, Mia was glaring at me with her chilling amethyst eyes. Having both of my hands in the air I slowly put my hand on hers to slowly put a knife down. She retracted her knife back to her plate and continued to eat moving on to a bowl of rice.

Giving off a nervous laugh I spoke to Mia while she kept eating, "S-so did you get any information from anyone about this."

"Nope." Mia gave a quick response.

"You didn't ask anyone?"

"Yup."

My eye twitched, I gave up and started to eat my curry. It felt like heaven, finally something with flavor, finally something that isn't jaw breaking bars, finally something that is warm, soft, and melting with flavor. Mia obviously saw my enjoyment and swooped in with her spoon to take a spoonful of my curry. The look of sadness filled my eyes as they got watery, then Mia put a spoonful of her curry on my plate noticing my watery eyes and defeated face. Instantly my eyes filled with light and happiness and again I started to eat,

"EVERYONE AT 0115 BE AT THE MEETING ROOM." The speaker started to repeat itself another time.

"At 0115?" I looked at my watch on my right wrist saying its 1:10, "oh crap we only have five minutes left!"

Mia started to eat faster and choked at her rice trying to reach for her water. Quickly I reached for her water and passed to her so it. We got up and put our dishes on the counter and thanked the cook then went off sprinting to the room. Making a ton of rights and lefts we finally reached the place with only thirty seconds to spare. The gigantic room was filled with thousands and thousands of soldiers, filled from left to right. I asked the guy in front of me asking if anything has happened yet. The tall bulky guy shook his head, and somebody started to walk up to the microphone and started to speak.

"I know you are all confused of why you're here and you are about to know why, the one who will tell you this is Commander Zeag."

Everyone started to talk about Zeag. I looked at Mia and she looked at me with a confused face. Zeag was our Commander to everything although everybody knew who it was but nobody ever saw him beside the council. Zeag was a legend, he apparently held off an entire army with his guns and solar energy. Many called it the Lonely Stand for him being the only one to fight off an army of the Seeking cult. Finally, everyone got quiet as soon as a old man stared to walk on the stairs, then towards the microphone. Anticipation grew stronger in the room and Mia and I looked at each other again hoping that this wouldn't be anything at all. We were wrong. The old man had gray hair and a scar running down his left crimson eye. His armor had a dark dirty green on it, a pistol on the side of his leg and multiple blood red chains on one of his arms for we all seemed confused on. Everyone looked at him, some with confusion, some with expectations and some with fear.

"You may know me as Zeag," He was blunt and got everyone's number one question done, "I called you all here for our final stand."

Final Stand? What final stand? Everyone was whispering but the whispers didn't matter because it filled the entire room. Mia looked at me with questions, which was weird because usually Mia figures out what was going on even when given cryptic messages.

Zeag coughed to get everyone's attention, "To answer all of you're question it means that we will end this war with out final stand with a full assault on the Seeking Cult. And as some of you may know the Seeking or Seekers are people who want to find destruction, dread, and pain in others. We have found out that the Seekers have been creating these weapons and we all know that they usually use void energy for their attacks, but they know have solar and arc on their side just like we do. So, you may now question what makes the difference since we have it to but they have something we don't. Dark Matter. This dark matter is powerful and even more destructive than anything we've seen. Therefore, we are gonna stop this now because if we don't everything will die… nothing will survive."

In an instant I accidentally runt my mouth, "Wouldn't be safer if we had gone on recon to know more information."

Everyone stared at me. Especially Zeag, quickly I shut my mouth and fear seemed to grow inside me. Mia tried to pull me out of the room when Zeag's face gave off a sad look.

"We did," Zeag stated as his hand turned into a fist, "we did but they never came back… all we have is this message sent by on of the scouts."

Reaching to his belt full of bullets a little device held in his hand.

"H-hello! Can... can anyone hear me! Well I- I better hope you can," A male voice worried in the recording, "this is Furious Beta! I repeat this is Furious Beta we have done our mission to scout the Seeking cult! Every- everyone is dead but me they grew more and more powerful their energy is- is-is just berserk their not the same, I know what it is.. its dark matter! I don't know how they did it but it nothing like we have seen before, they were able to just kill Vin with one hand exploding his head with void energy. WE CAN'T DO THAT IT SHOULD BE IMPOSSIBLE."

In the background was slow shallow footsteps. The voice tone started to stutter more and fear crawled up his throat. In the quick last second, he said that the weapons were filled with energy so much that its able to destroy a mountain. Then the message stopped, all of us knew he didn't make it. Mia and I heads were down, other's were filled with dread and others filled with rage. Everyone was quiet so quiet that you can even hear a pen drop and echo three times.

Zeag spoke again, "This will end all of it, this is the Final Stand after this we will go home."

After five minutes we were all told when we will strike, then we all left the room heading back to our dorms. I sat on the bottom bed and started to think. Will we win? How many will we lose? How stronger are they? Mia, who was on the top bed, poked her head down and saw my worrying. Jumping down she stared at me with her purple eyes lit up.

"Don't worry about it we will win alright."

I awoke from my haze and stared back, "That's very caring for you, I didn't even think that you were able to be nice."

Turning her obvious crimson blush she looked at the door, "Yeah so what you're lucky that you even got to see that," She walked towards the door and I asked where she was going, "to the cafeteria…I'm hungry."

"I'll go with you." I chuckled and followed her.

As we sat on the table, I noticed that Mia only had a plate of food. That isn't something that happens at all. When she lifted up spoon her hand I saw that it was trembling, looking at her I knew her breath grew heavy and eyes seemed cloudy.

"Don't worry about it we will win alright." I repeated what she said to me.

"Y-yeah." Mia nodded and started the eat.

Later on, that nigh the wind grew stronger as I laid in bed and Mia was asleep. I couldn't sleep it seemed impossible for me too, my brain was pulling out questions and questions within every second. What seemed like hours of me just being paranoid I slowly feel asleep. The night passed in what seemed like a second. Waking up with bags under my eyes and not having a sense of what's around me I hit my head on the wood that separated mine and Mia's bed. Rubbing my head I said sorry to Mia who didn't reply, which was weird because she always replies. Looking to see if she was there, she wasn't. Then I suddenly remembered that today was the day… it was the day of the battle. Already taking a shower and brushing my teeth I went straight to the cafeteria only to find Mia and nobody else. Getting some food like always I sat beside Mia and like always a buffet of food in front of her. We eat uncomfortably quiet as we always had a look of anticipation, staring at the clock and watches for only for us to finish our food quickly. Then finally the speaker called us to get ready for combat and to be at the docking ships. We nodded at each other, heading to our dorms we geared up, putting our armor on. Thank god that it wasn't bulky and heavy it seemed like normal clothes but only with aluminum steel with them, light weight but sturdy. Although every hit you take knocks the wind out of you but you're still alive. Colors that I had in my clothes were jet black and a little red cause we always fought in dark places to have that advantage being cloaked with the dark. Although Mia has that white armor because of this winter she changed it just in time so it's harder to spot her especially when theirs a blizzard storming. Helmets that were coated with our energy that increased their durability and protection, within is a in built heart scanner that notifies us were and when an enemy is. Going into my closet there stood a AR 10 AMRALITE and a Magnum hand gun, along with a knife on my waste and leg in case I have nothing else. Mia had a M4 carbine with a Revolution 1911 and a knife that curves at the blade that's in the back of her armor.

"BOOM!" A sound echoed threw the hallway while the base started to shake as if an earthquake had happened. An alarm went off it blinked red nonstop, the speaker went on and yelled in a panic voice to prepare for battle repeating it three times before it cut off. Bursting threw the door Mia was already out their looking outside. OUTSIDE! Where should've been a hallway leading towards the cafeteria, but it was all gone… rumbles of broken stone and fire engulfed the ground melting the snow. Bullets and smoke filled the sky and ground, that white blurry clouds that covered the sky were red and gray. The lapis blue sky itself was blood red.

Mia and I went racing towards the opposite side of the hallway to get to the exist, "What is going on are they attacking!"

Trying to catch my breath I replied, "Well it can't be anything else! Let's get to the exist and see if we can find anyone else!"

Others opened their door and others were stuck in amount of rumble. Helping others so they're not stuck to escape we commanded the ones ready for battle to radio Zeag or anyone. When helping the injured escape our radio in our helmets came on.

"EVERYONE THIS IS COMMANDER ZEAG THE SEEKERS HAVE ATTACKED ANYONE WHO IS HURT GET TO THE BACK OF THE BASE FOR HEALING AND EVERYONE WHO ISN'T GET OUT IN THE FRONT TO FIGHT! WE WILL WIN THIS! WE WILL ALL GO HOME! FIGHT BECAUSE THEY TOOK WHAT YOU LOVED! FIGHT BECAUSE THEY MESS WITH THE WRONG PEOPLE! FIGHT BECAUSE YOU DESERVE TO WIN!" Then it cut off.

Chills went down my spine and in an instant, we took off running to the back with injured soldiers to hopefully save their lives. As we finally got their many doctors already had a hand full to deal with. Many of us took off dashing towards the front hoping to find the commander. As we ran a ship came flying down towards us at full speed engulfed with flames and smoke. There wasn't any time to doge, but a random soldier dashed towards the front, his hands glowed with a lavender tint, holding out his and from one side to the other a dome surrounded us. Warmth filled my body and my tired feeling went away in an instant. The ship crashed down upon the dome bursting into a million pieces, I've read about this before what this dome was is a shield that protected and healed or made allies more powerful. He yelled at us to keep going and not wasting time we did, jumping threw the smoke and dome we ran as fast as we could. Up ahead we say Commander Zeag shooting his gun nonstop, one of the seekers in a robe jumped out in front of him, he move as quick as a jaguar despite his old age. Then a hint of azure blue lightning filled his hand as he brough it down against the seeker. Above the sky a wave of lighting struck were Zeag struck the ground causing a crater. To his right another popped out of thin air, his hand wide open a ball of void purple energy filled it as rock's gravitate towards it, Zeag didn't seem to worry, his right hand summoned a flaming hammer, engraving's on its handle that swirled around it, and eagle head on it pointing towards the seeker and on the left side were curved ridges that touch and were sharper than a saw. Turing his flaming hammer to were the ridges are he struck the hand full of void energy with the force of a truck, the seekers arm flew off in the air, an amber flame covered the torn arm and in a immediately in turned to ash hovering in the air. Seeker didn't stop though he ignored the pain and void energy filled his entire body. Purple aura came everywhere from him, more and more seemed to grow stronger from it strengthening his power and just like fire it spread in the air, using his one hand he grabbed Zeag shoulder and his hammer struck the other's body with the eagle penetrating his stomach. It didn't stop him the void energy that filled him started to transfer to Zeag; the chain on his arm slithered to the hammer then wrapping around the seekers body. It squeezed tightly until the seeker's body ripped in half then disintegrating after. We all watched in awe; how can one man have this much power. Sliding down the hole we finally reached him as he picked up is gun and loaded it.

"Oh, good you're finally here, there's about three thousand of them." He causally said as if it's not that much and nothing happened in the last five minutes.

"Three thousand! Can we even handle that mu-."

"BOOM." A sound of a cannon had fired.

A beam of purple, blue and red squirreled in a circle as it flew through the air hitting the base. When it reached impact the base top seemed to completely fall apart causing dust and smoke to spread everywhere.

"There goes another one… well there's about 100 of you," He said looking forward, "I need fifty of you to go right to take out as many Seekers as you can and try to break those cannons and same for the other fifty go left and do the same."

"That's basically suicide!" Mia yelled out even with her helmet on I could see her stressed face.

"This whole thing is basically suicide," Zeag turned his head in defeat, "and you soldiers are the only ones we have left, others are injured, dead or missing in action."

"Missing in action? How this is a whole field there's no way they suddenly disappeared and left." I yelled out in discomfort.

"I don't know… but we can't waste any more time! Go like I said and your team will be called Guardian's." Zeag commanded as he ran up the hole and started to blast bullets.

"We can't do this! This this is insane! I'm not gonna die today!" One of the soldiers started to run the other way.

Mia pulled out her M4 and shot the ground next to him, " IF YOU'RE GONNA ABANDON THIS TEAM AND EVERYONE THAT'S FIGHTING FOR THEIR LIVES THEN YOU'RE NOTHING BUT A FAILURE AS A SOLDIER AND I WILL KILL YOU RIGHT NOW MY NEXT SHOT WILL NOT MISS YOUR HEAD GOT THAT !!!

"If I was you, I would listen to her she's not afraid to kill you right now." I added as a warning.

He slowly turned back to one of the groups that he left to add up fifty. Me and Mia split teams everyone agreed for me to take charge and Mia on the other hand took charge immediately.

"EVERYONE READY!"

"YES SIR!"

"GOOD REMEMBER WE ARE THE ONLY ONE'S WHO CAN DO THIS! IF WE FALL WE FALL AS HERO'S AND OUR NAME'S WILL GO DOWN IN HISTORY!"

"YEAHHHHH!!"

"IN 3… 2…1 CHARGE!!!"

We all rushed in bullets went flying in the air but surprisingly none of us got picked off. To calm our heads while running for cover and shooting Seekers that we could see, one by they said their names and I made sure that I remembered all of them no matter what. The one who wanted to leave said his name it was Jin. Now that I closely heard his voice… he seemed so young like if he was nineteen… so young for him to be in this mess. We continued our charge, their was a hill that lead down to what seemed like two thousand of them. Sliding down the hill all of us sprayed nonstop stream of bullets hitting every Seeker we saw. Dodging and rolling evading the bullets we prayed that we could do this mission. No we had to do this mission… there is no other option. A seeker jumped from what it seemed like three hundred feet in the air, lighting formed from the clouds striking toward the Seeker rotating around him, he faced his hand towards us a beam of arc lighting came at us hitting the ground it exploded the floor sending pieces of earth in the sky. It dragged towards us, instantly three of us jumped towards it creating that dome like earlier before. Those three held their ground while the beam was bashing on the dome's, one of us noticed a crack within one of them and it got bigger. Without hesitation I looked at KO who was a marksman and carried a sniper with him. He knew what he had to do and transitioned to another dome that took the lest amount of damage. He laid down and poked the barrel of his gun out of the dome and lined up his shot. The dome's crack started to get bigger and eventually went around the dome; a loud bang went off and the beam stopped, the body in the sky feel to the ground as a trace of blood fallowed down. The domes disappeared and we continued our charge, there was a wave that came after us, we all shot down some of them when the others got to close one of our guardians leaped in the air and hit the ground with his fist causing a shockwave of arc energy wiping out the Seekers. We got closer and closer but the closer we got the more dangerous it was. More and more waves of enemies grew, they didn't have any type of guns? Why I wondered are they that confident in their abilities or did they never had any guns to begin with? Shooting from left and right that question still lingered in my brain, I noticed that I didn't hear from Mia in a bit so I hit the ground so it can rise for us to have cover and turned on my radio.

"Hey Mia, how are you holding up?" I asked while catching my breath.

"Were doing alright… we haven't lost anyone yet how about you?" She replied.

"Like you we haven't lost anyone…let's do this alright!"

"Yeah." She turned her radio off.

"Hey Shin?" Jin asked me, "do we even know how to shut off the cannons?"

I looked at him with a smirk that he could hear, "I got some explosives and if that doesn't work then we have our powers to destroy it. Let's just focus on not dying.

Jin nodded his head and I say that his hands were shaking. Again I counted to three and we began running; I ran ahead of the group so I can do my part, solar energy flew in my vein's a red glow came from my body, the heat I felt gave me confidence. I jumped in the air and summon five knifes bursting with flames and threw them at the horde, in that second that I threw them they split into hundreds of knifes and struck the ground or seekers exploding and disintegrating anything that touches it. Falling to the ground I pulled out my hand gun and the solar energy that was within me transferred to my gun. It ignited with flames and glowed with power. As soon as I hit the ground six seekers rushed me with multiple powers fully charged, I quickly pulled the trigger on every single one of them and they turned into ash. Others did the same and others used that beam to clear the way. Then the ground shook again, the cannon went off but it wasn't aiming at the base but at us; that beam of light demolished part of my team killing about twenty of them, I shouted out all their names in dread. I felt the anger course threw me and felt a vein almost pop. The ground exploded as if a volcano just erupted rocks, dirt and rumble flew in the air. Our vision was clouded but our heart beat sensors were on. With every red I saw I shot trusting my intuition and my trigger finger. I heard screams on my radio, they were painful to even hear I called out their names and some answered and I commanded them to place a dome to protect the one's that goes towards you. I searched for others by following their screams; only to see noting in the end. I grew even more worried so I began to run after them only to see something unbelievable. One of the seeker's had void energy in both hands while a black aura grew from them, I knew it was dark matter but what the little ball of void did was disgusting. Oku was being sucked up into that small ball of void trying to grab anything for him to hold on to but it was futile he was already sucked into the void. Breaking from my fear I shot the Seeker three time's two in the body and one in the head. Then I contacted Zeag and Mia.

"Hey Zeag, I know how people are MIA." I ran towards a dome for protection.

"And how's that?"

"They use void energy to make something like a black hole and they suck them up."

"Those monsters… are you both close to the cannons?"

"Yeah very close." We both replied.

"Ok carry on make this count."

We turned off our radio and I told everyone to blast away the smoke by using a little bit of their energy. As we did the smoke cleared and there was only ten of us left. As we looked around some Seekers rushed us but with our advantage of our guns with gun downed all of them. Looking beyond the distance we saw nobody else but us ten, I looked behind us and saw all those bodies which seemed like a thousand or two thousand laying lifeless. Advancing towards the cannons nobody was there, entering the building we looked around for what seemed like ages. We finally reached the reactor core, their were people in tubes of green water with wires connected to them I wanted to throw up but trying to ignore it I plugged up the explosives to the main reactor.

"Huh that's weird? Did it get damaged during our fight?" I looked at the bomb.

Jin walked over and saw that the timer was broken, "So does that mean?"

I looked at him, "We are gonna have to arm it manually but… when that happens it will detonate in a instant. So I'll do-."

"No, you won't I will." Jin put his hand on my back and I felt the arc energy flow threw me making me unable to move.

One of the other guardians picked me up and they started to walk away, "NO I'LL DO IT! PUT ME DOWN NOW!!"

I heard my radio come on and heard his voice, "I know you saw me as weak and scared… and the truth is I am. All my life I've known nothing but being a coward… so that's why I joined the army so I can learn to be strong and have courage. And in the end, I've shown me being a coward still I haven't grown at all… but they took everything from me. All of my loved ones, all of my friends, my hometown, my own happiness. So, I will take away what they had on winning this war… Even though it's been a short time I'm glad I was able to fight with you… this is Shin sighing off."

As we headed outside, I felt the tears in my eyes grow stronger, I held them back because I know that my team didn't need more of a mess right now. Before both of the cannons blew up into a million of pieces, I summoned all the energy I had left to create dome protecting us from the blast. The hill that it stood on crumbled and fell to the ground as we ran back to avoid it. All the remaining soldiers cheered for victory as I contacted Mia and Zeag that we destroyed both of the cannons.

"Great job now come back home don't lose anymore men." Zeag voice sounded relieved.

We met back up with the other team and say that only fifteen of them had survived. Together we slowly walked backed towards the base. Taking off my helmet I yearned for fresh air but only inhaling for what seemed like fire. While all twenty-five of us walked on the broken earth, I walked behind them as they disappeared I the distance; then standing to look at Mia and gave a smile, talking off her helmet I saw that her head was bleeding a little but smiling anyway.

"Bang!" A gun fire went off.

Mia smile went away, her amethyst eyes shrunk, falling down on the ground a trial of blood followed, I ran after her. Everything felt so slow I was tired… my legs were giving up I used to much of my power but that didn't matter my friend was shot so I the adrenaline within me kicked in and ignored my numbed legs. Grabbing her before she smacked the ground, I saw that she was hit in the stomach. Wet cold blood spilled out on to my hands. I didn't know what to do I had nothing on me to stop the bleeding so I did the best thing I could think of. Laying her down I clenched my hand tightly gathering all the solar energy that I had left. In my hands was a flaming sword; this was new to me, but I stabbed it into the ground then a glowing circle formed on the ground.

"Hey Shin… I can't see anything…" Mia looked at me without knowing.

"Hey, hey relax alright don't say anything else."

"I feel warm. Am I dying?"

"NO, you aren't I won't let you die!"

She ignored what I said, "It was a good run…I'm happy that you were my partner thank you."

I held on to her and prayed that the last of my energy would somehow help her. Her head looked the other way lifelessly. My hands were shaking I couldn't think straight in the moment, rage filled me, my veins, my head, my blood. Looking from were she had been shot from there was a Seeker who was covered with dust and blood laughing hysterically like a maniac with a gun in hand waving it around like a knife. I rushed him full speed with my knife because my guns had nothing left to offer with no ammo. Still laughing he gave me a smile and void aura started to glow around him, I jumped back thinking he might come to me but after a second he exploded and it blasted me away breaking my ribs and smashing into rocks. Adrenaline kicked in again I got up ignoring the pain and looked up to see ten more seekers to emerge from the rocks. I slowly walked holding one of my arms that had been dislocated, with all my might I popped it back in place, walking past the sword's circle I felt as if I was alright. My rigging ear went away, the pain from my ribs went away and I felt calm. But the rage inside me was to strong for me to be calm. Picking up my knife It circulated with lightning, a white and blue aura around me grew stronger that it even cracked the ground when I took a step. My vision was covered with red on my left eye, but I still ran at the ten, from what seemed like I was one hundred seventy feet away turned into twelve inches away from one of the seekers. My blade pierced threw his heart and it burned him with the electricity coursing threw him. From what it seemed I moved as fast as light to the next target, he had solar energy consuming him and I sensed that he grew stronger with every moment. Stabbing his both of his legs he still was able to move. I had the speed advantage but if he grabbed me I wouldn't last; consternating all my arc to my body trying to keep a constant balance I was interrupted with a hammer being swung at me by another one. Parrying it with my knife I made it slide across the side of it and kicked the hammer user with all my might sending him flying. Behind me was the one I left standing around, I didn't have enough time to react and was grabbed being bear hugged. I screamed in pain almost losing consciousness, but the pain kept me awake. I kicked where I stabbed his leg then stabbed his stomach where his lungs are. Finally, he let go and without wasting anymore time I concentrated my arc around my body to move faster than lightning. I appeared behind the seeker with my blade in hand; after a second a thousand cuts filled his body then he disintegrated. This fight lasted at least six minutes as three more seekers remained. I was tired, my body was aching with pain and I wanted to pass out. Slowly I walked toward them slouched down as I bleed from my body, stumbling and tripping I yelled out in desperation to summon more energy I had but nothing came. The remaining Seekers ran after me as I feel to my knee's accepting what is about to happen.

"Hey, looks like you need help." A familiar voice appeared in front of me.

"Mia?" I looked in front of me, she was all healed the blood from her pale head disappeared.

She gave me a smile and a flame ignited from her as she was holding the sword was next to her. I started to chuckle and smiled, in a instant she was behind a seeker with the sword on her about to slash his back. When it made contact, he ignited in flames, the other seeker in the middle didn't stand a chance without using her sword a bright flame from her hand burst into him annihilating him with out leaving a trace. The final one started to run at her with arc in hand, with a single slash his arm went flying in the air; then slowly walking Mia stabbed his heart leaving him lifeless. Mia walked to me and picked my injured self-up then going to the demolished base.

"Thanks." I said to her whipping the blood from my eyes.

"Don't say anything else save your energy… were going home together." She smiled.

I nodded and was thankful that her wound had healed.

That is what happened on that day. I still remember all the names of the soldiers I fought with and the one's that died.

The end.
