13 Prodigy….Don’t make me laugh

Alex's days were boring as usual. He was entertained from time to time by Remy and Matthew but he just had to force excitement and do some baby stuff like throw things and break some stuff from time to time lest his parent's start thinking he is weird.

Alex after getting a little habituated in his body started to walk rather early. It was not unusual as Matthew and Remy had also brought him to a doctor to verify he was normal. Matthew told Remy the entire story about how he met Alex and it was her idea to show Alex to the doctor to be sure nothing was wrong with him.

Alex already knew he was normal as he went to the doctor many times in his past life and not once was anything weird diagnosed about him. The doctor did reveal that Alex was approximately a year old. Remy decided to mark Alex's birthday which was the same day Matthew found him fortunately its was the same as his birthday in previous life.

Matthew and Remy's parents died early so Alex had no grandparents whatsoever. Every day he just had to sleep, eat and shit over and over again. Alex also started speaking early after all the only obstacle was to get accustomed to his new baby vocal cord, he didn't need to learn the same language again. But he did constrain himself from not using any complicated words and would just say mama, dada, pee, eat etc lest he would give his parents a heart-attack someday.

The only strange fact about him was that he never cried. Remy was concerned about this but as time passed by she just became accustomed to this behavior of his.

Alex often approached the library of his house but was never able to push open the door and could only get caught trying to do so. Matthew was the only one who went in their to read books but Matthew was often outside on the field rather than home. While Remy would just bring him to her study to keep an eye on him as well as do her work.

Remy was an architect actually and also had a magic prowess of around 50, Alex knew about this from his previous life. So she was always busy designing stuff on the hologram computer in their house.

Alex would look at Remy working and try to learn as much as he could. Remy rarely left the house as all the meetings with her clients happened virtually and data could be shared through cloud based networks but whenever she left she made sure to bring Alex with her.

Alex never made any noise and created trouble so although strange he was never a hassle to bring along. He always had a cold, uninterested almost indifferent attitude towards everyone.

So Alex had become pretty famous in Remy's office. Remy's secretary had even coined a nickname for him "baby prince". Alex kind of felt amusing about this but nothing more.

Rocky would also visit them often sometimes whenever Matthew came back as they were posted together being in the same platoon. It may be for lunch, dinner or just a casual meet.

Time passed by and for the next two years the same mundane stuff repeated in Alex's life. After his second birthday though his habit of trying to sneak into the library to read books became so serious that his parents decided to just place a lock on it but Fortunately Rocky suggested his parents to bring in a home tutor for Alex as clearly "Alex seemed to have a great fascination and attraction towards books" he said.

Remy was totally against the thought because she didn't want to burden Alex and wanted him to enjoy his childhood, Alex almost fell down as he felt weak in his knees but thankfully at the end Matthew decided to start Alex's tutoring after he was a became three and if he couldn't handle it then they would delay the tutoring to later.

Alex from then onwards didn't attempt to read any books he just went with the floor till yesterday when his parents threw a birthday party for him as he had become three.

Alex had heard from his parents that his tutor was supposed to arrive today so he was eagerly waiting for him sitting in his cradle close to the door.

Sebastian Klein, He was a famous home teacher in the high brass society who was often invited to teach the youngsters of many prominent figure and had a good reputation.

He only accepted the job after meeting the children he was supposed to teach though. He was not very keen on teaching those who were not smart even if they had powerful background unless offered a high payment.

This was the first distinguished butterfly effect that was going to happen in his life because he never got a home tutor in his previous life he actually remembered going to a private kinder garden school.

The bell rang and as soon as Alex heard this he flipped the hover cradle to jump down and a naked baby with his undies could be seen running towards the door. Remy saw this and couldn't decide whether to laugh or cry. She knew that Alex was too intelligent for his age based on his expressions and actions but she was so used to it that she had stopped doubting this fact.

Alex climbed the rack near the door and pressed the open option on the screen beside it. Sebastian was an old man with a medium stature. He was wearing a long woolen coat with his hands behind his back he was waiting to meet his client.

But as soon as the door opened his eyes arched upward in surprise as he saw a mere 2 feet baby standing on a rack smiling at him.

Remy hurried towards the door and welcomed Sebastian inside as she carried Alex in her arms. She offered him some tea before awkwardly smiling, "I am sorry for the embarrassing welcome"

Sebastian laughed slightly and replied in a respectful tone after all the person standing before him was General Matthew's,

"It wasn't embarrassing, if at all I would say it was surprising though"

After which Remy showed him inside the library and also dressed Alex in a short gown before making him sit on the small desk arranged for him. Remy also stood in the room before Sebastian asked her to leave and assured her not to worry about anything.

Sebastian then brought out a hover screen from his space inventory on his watch. A space watch was a private individual storage device and was quiet costly depending on its capacity.

He pointed to the image of a triangle on the screen and then he changed the image to another where in there was a triangle with many triangles inside it. Sebastian had heard from the General that Alex fairly understood everything one spoke to him and could also reply back. It was rare to find a baby like this but Alex wasn't the first that's what Sebastian thought atleast.

"Alex earlier I showed you what triangle is now count and tell me how many triangles do you see"

Alex's eyes dropped down as if someone just choked his excitement, "This this is what I am supposed to learn" he thought before taking a single glimpse at the picture and saying in a plain voice, "16"

Sebastian was shocked most kids could find 12 or 13 triangle but none had the ability of recognition developed to such a great extent this early to figure out the real no. of triangles. Sebastian gulped his saliva and continued to the next question.

Time passed by…..Remy was busy in her work yet she would get distracted from time to time looking at the watch.

"it's almost four hours what are they even doing inside" Remy then decided to wait another hour but still there were no signs of them coming out so she just decided to barge in.

And soon as she did she heard a yawning Alex looking at her surprisingly and on the other hand was Sebastian. His entire face was covered with sweat and he didn't even spare a glance towards Remy but just kept looking at Alex as he slowly spoke, "Monster…"

Remy being someone at level 50 this slight voice was easily heard by her she then picked up Alex and looked at Sebastian, "Mr. Sebastian please constrain yourself from showing this kind of behavior lest the general becomes unhappy after knowing that you called our son a monster"

Alex leaned against her mother in her arms trying to relax he already knew how shocked Sebastian was anyone would be after seeing a child of barely 3 years having this much ability but yet he couldn't help it. He had to get advanced education about magic asap even if that meant announcing the world he was already horrifyingly good even if compared to a 10 year old kid. "I am simply beyond your everyday prodigy" He thought.

Afterall even if he showed his talent who did he have to fear. His father was a powerful general who would become a Maverick in the coming years. He had already decided to make use of his father's resources and his background to climb the stairs to heaven as early as he could.

Sebastian immediately bowed and spoke in hasty manner, "

"My lady, I am very sorry for my earlier remarks but your son is a genius he already has an excellent command over object recognition, Numerical analysis, basic Mathematical calculations, Geometry, topology and and …what I meant to say is he is already more than ready to get exposed to intermediate teaching and master it."

With a small pause he continued, "My lady it would be my utmost honor if you could bestow upon me the chance of teaching him."

Remy was completely stupefied as she thought to herself, "looks like Alex is indeed extraordinary" She massaged Alex's head resting on her shoulder as a sense of pride filled her.

She soon replied back to Sebastian, "Please, Mr. Sebastian it would be Alex's good luck to have you as his tutor."

After which Alex was brought back to his cradle to sleep as for Remy she discussed with Sebastian about Alex's classes and they planned a schedule accordingly.
