25. Jennifer's apartment

Jennifer's apartment.

Jason could easily fit into his lover's apartment. He had gotten so used to going in and out without knocking on doors or waiting and making appointments with Jennifer to come over. The apartment is Jason's which he bought and gave to Jennifer as a birthday present for the beautiful woman last year.

The house was very quiet. Even all the room lights were still out, pitch black without light. Jason stepped into the living room. This man did not have the slightest suspicion and only thought Jennifer must have been asleep, because of that all the lights in his house had gone out.

Jason turned on the room light and put the food box he was carrying on the table. Then walked to Jennifer's bedroom.

"Honey, are you sleeping?"

Jason entered the room, which was not much different from the living room, completely dark without any lights. It was strange for him, Jennifer did not usually sleep without the slightest light. At least his lover would turn on the nightlight by the bed every night.

The nightlight Near the bed was on. No, Jennifer is sleeping on the bed. Only a pile of blankets and pillows were seen scattered irregularly on the bed. Maybe Jennifer is in the bathroom right now.

Jason stepped into the bathroom, where the door looked open. But again it was pitch black without light. It felt like in the dark like that, there was no way Jennifer was in the bathroom. Her lover is a little paranoid about the darkness. Jason's feelings grew uneasy. Where exactly is Jennifer? Her lover was not in the bedroom or bathroom. "Could it be that Jennifer is in the kitchen? Jason thought. He hurriedly walked to the kitchen. It's possible that Jennifer was thirsty or hungry and took a drink.

Arriving at the kitchen, again only a dark and lonely atmosphere was felt. This made Jason's mind even more confused. Where did Jennifer go late at night like this? Seeing the state of the house like that. It was clear that her lover had not come home at all.

Jason tried calling Jennifer's cell phone many times, but there was no answer. Only cellular operators indicated Jennifer's number was out of reach {not active}.

Jason remembers, Aunt Anne this morning said that Jennifer was delivered home by Steven. Jason flipped through the cellphone in his hand. He was a little hesitant to call Steven and ask about Jennifer's whereabouts. If he did that, wouldn't it even make Steven suspicious of him? Why did Jason call up at night and ask her about Jennifer? This is tantamount to telling Steven about the truth of the rumors about his relationship with Jennifer. If their relationship unfolded now it would be unfavorable to Jason's position. Just when Jasmine died, even her burial ground was still wet. It would be rude if they were caught cheating.

Jason left the kitchen and returned to the room. It would be nice if he just stayed at Jennifer's apartment tonight. Maybe soon his lover will come home. Jason believes that Jennifer loves him very much and it is impossible to have an affair behind his back. Especially with Steven who is the enemy in the blanket for Kyle's family.

The day before morning. The sun was already soaring high in the sky. The scorching light burst through the glass window covered in thin white curtains in the room. The blinding sunlight woke Jason, who was fast asleep on the bed. Jason accidentally opened the curtains last night. His feeling will be calm When looking up at the night sky filled with beautiful stars at night. Jason kept staring at the stars in the beautiful sky until he finally fell asleep and didn't feel like he had slept for hours.

"It was noon," Jason muttered as he looked at the clock on the table by the bed that showed 9 in the morning.

Jason hurried up and washed his face. He was sure that Jennifer must have come home and was making food for him in the kitchen. Even though it's just a piece of bread with jam and a cup of coffee. That's enough for Jason if it's Jennifer made.

Jason changed clothes and immediately went down to the kitchen to meet Jennifer and help her lover prepare food. But again Jason had to be disappointed. Arriving at the kitchen, no one was seen in it. Looks like all this is just Jason's hallucinations. Because Jennifer never came home last night to the apartment.

Jason didn't want to bother. Maybe last night Jennifer could have stayed over at her friend's house. Jason went into the living room to get the car keys that he left on the table, near the food box he bought for Jennifer last night.
