Hug this Big Golden Thigh While You Still Can!

A few minutes earlier…

"Oh, no wonder a lurker like you dared to be so confident... You have this kind of toy with you..."

Yin did not bother to stop the white-robed middle-aged man when he activated the soul-suppressing array. Instead, she watched his hand movements with curiosity, waiting until she's fully trapped to get the first-row seat to the intricate light blue runes.

A delicate black plate crafted with an unusual alloy floated amidst his palms. Its edges were lined with tiny colored crystals that were overflowing with pure spiritual energy. On the surface of the plate itself, there were unfamiliar lines and mysterious symbols etched on it.

One look and there was no mistaking that what the man was holding was a good treasure!

Many cultivators would have died if they were to fight over it. Perhaps, if one were to trace its history, countless blood must have been shed for its right of ownership.

"Aiya, good! Good! Although I am not familiar with these squiggly characters, I can understand the Dao inside them." As someone not from this mortal world, Yin was technically illiterate so she studied them with childish fascination. "But… this energy… you wish to peep at my memories? Well, you even want to control my soul? Pfft. You sure have big guts, mister!"

Seeing her calm, even mischievous, reaction, Second Elder Li Yun Tian knew he had miscalculated.

When he launched the ancient soul-suppressing array inside the forest in order to manipulate the youngest Nascent Soul cultivator to ever exist in history, he never expected that his precious rune array would be… completely useless!

Yes, it was useless!

He fucked up!

The high class soul-suppressing array was a treasure his deceased grandfather found in one of his trips in the danger zones up north during his youth. It was a precious one-time-use array passed down within his Li family, and Li Yun Tian had initially planned to use it against the current Ye Patriarch, Ye Wuqing, once the Li Family had secured enough power to take over the sect in the future.

This time, Li Yun Tian was forced to show his hand early in order to manage the wild card that the Tenth Elder brought over.

But he had miscalculated.

The array could not suppress the girl they called Little Yin!

In fact, it was the other way around. This Little Yin had managed to control the rune array and suppressed his soul instead!

After making sure that her new playmate— the unconscious Ye Zhihao —was safely asleep, Yin approached the middle-aged man who was brought down on his knees after vomiting blood. All his seven orifices were bleeding, making him appear horrifying.

"Lurker, why the face? Aren't you interested to peep at my memories?" she smiled sweetly. She crouched down to enjoy his horrified face and patted his cheek with one pudgy hand. "Since I'm in a good mood, I'll give you a chance, but first you need to share with me some of yours."

Li Yun Tian's mouth was gaping as he cried silently.

Yin continued, "You know, I am always respectful towards the elderly, but not towards those who believe they deserve respect just because they are old. Since I'm a true blue noble lady, I will avoid, uhh, looking at some of those not so children-friendly memories of yours. You have my word."

As she said those words, he could feel the power of the array prying open his mind, and his brain felt like it was being boiled, fried and cut apart at the same time.

Monster!

This girl is an absolute monster!

"Ye Sect's Second Elder… " Yin murmured, her expression no longer playful the more she read his memories. "You are more despicable than I thought… These memories… tsk." Her face then glowed as if she had heard the funniest joke. "Fine, it's my turn now. I'll show you something good, something befitting scum like you."

Suddenly, the middle-aged man found himself no longer inside the forest, but in a completely dark place where he could not even see his own fingers if they were placed in front of him. The air was ancient and heavy, and he could smell rust and decay. It was a completely cold and silent world, where he felt no one but his soul existed. It felt like a millenia had passed, yet it also felt like no time had passed at all.

His soul was trembling with each passing second, as if it knew by instinct that something formidable was approaching. Or maybe, it was him coming closer to that being, like a fish being reeled in. He had no idea who or what it was, but it carried a level of suffocation and pressure that no human or beast could ever emit.

It was an existence close to an evil god...or to be more precise, a devil.

Deep terror seized his heart as two red wisps appeared in front of him.

By this time, Li Yun Tian's real body was bathed in blood due to his attempts to resist the suppression of the high-level array. His blood vessels had ruptured, and most of his skin had burst.

A normal girl would have been trembling at the ghastly sight, but for a certain chubby girl who had been baptized by countless wars since time immemorial, she found his appearance most familiar, nostalgic even. She did keep a distance though, as she didn't want her new pretty clothes to get stained with blood. She wouldn't know where to begin explaining if ever Big Sis Xuan'er was to question her.

"What do you think of Yama-boy?" Yin spoke casually, although she knew that the man would not be able to hear her. "I particularly chose this special memory to show you, yanno? "

"A lot of ordinary souls are scared of the mere appearance of his subordinates, what more his. Typically, those unfortunate souls who need his personal judgment dig their eyes out the moment they lay eyes on him. Aren't they pretty rude? Yama-boy might look bad, but they shouldn't have reacted that intensely. I guess they were just surprised by his appearance, since it's the first time they encountered Death face to face.

"Now that I showed you this memory, you already have an advantage. Think of this as my first greeting gift to you. No need to thank me. Alas, I'm such a kind lady. Because of my generosity, you will already be familiar with how Yama-boy looks once you go down the Yellow Springs."

But about a third of Li Yun Tian's soul had dissipated by the time Yin had finished speaking. He had long lost consciousness. Although he was still alive, his soul was so damaged that he might never ever get to wake up again. After all, the King of Hell was an existence no mortal could ever survive, even if it's just his mere presence that was watered down by Yin's memory.

The man was already considered lucky that he's still among the living...

There was no pity in Yin's eyes, not even disdain. Her face wore no expression; in fact, she did not even look like a living person. Although her physical appearance did not change, it was like there was dissonance between her and the world.

She was chaos personified.

If Ye Mo was here and saw her in this state, even he would have not recognized her.

"Humans, huh? What a really strange race."

With a blink, Yin's face regained its humanity and she looked deep in thought, but there was still something dark lingering behind her now serious eyes. She turned away from the man with a ruined soul, sparing him not a second glance as if he was nothing more than a roadside beggar in front of a noble.

"Go sit down and play dead like a good dog. I'll get back to studying you later." Yin faced the direction where Qing Wu You was standing. Her eyes narrowed. "The memory of this newcomer is more to my taste than these filthy memories of yours. Such a pure soul..."

Yin extended her spiritual power to trigger the runes and sneak inside Qing Wu You's memories without him knowing.

Come on, Qing boy!

Show your future Boss what kind of things you are hiding in your heart!

Your greatest fear? A painful memory? A traumatic experience?

Don't worry, this kind and generous lady will save you from your inner demons.

Hug this big golden thigh while you still can! (1)

---

(1) "to hug (a person's) big thighs" bào dà tuǐ - Chinese saying that means / signifies that a person is trying to curry favor with someone else; it originated from people who were Buddhist and praying to Buddha for help. The statues of Buddha in temples are usually huge and so people will 'hug' his thighs / legs when praying for help.

Ha! You thought you'll have to wait for a year again, did you not? Lol.
