City of Datura is the main headquarters of Arsln Family so obviously they have full control of the city. Almost everyone with some power or status were either the distant or close relatives, most are genuine members of the Arsln family. Every important or relevant positions was reserved for the trusted members in the Family. Even the Council had no say in it. City of Datura was the stronghold of Arsln Family.

City of Datura mainly compromised of three separate areas. Core area, inner area and outer area.

Free Market and other ordinary civilians and organizations are situated in the outer area, it is situated far from the core of Arsln family and close to the one of the main highway pointing to the Capital of Federation.

Arsln Family didn't strictly enforced rules in the free market and the management was quite loose.

Due to the presence of such a powerful family will automatically deter anyone having ill will. At most some small scuffles will happen due to the nature of the Free Market. Even so there were strong guards stationed to maintain order.

Therefore such a large disturbance in broad daylight caused a great surprise and panic among the present people.

Lucas watched quietly from a distance. Maverick or say Fedrick was trying to escape from five masked men. There were no distinct symbols in there masks or their clothes which may indicate their origin.

Observing the unusual energy fluctuations, Fedrick was clearly injured and the surrounding him was three Core level Warriors in a triangular formation and following them were 2 Magistars. It can be clearly seen that their realm is lower than Fedrick's since they were quite nervous even when the opponent they are facing was injured.

The Warriors in formation closed on to attack Fedrick and shouted simultaneously.

"Tiger Roaming the land!!"

Fedrick while running was not idling, he took a staff from out of nowhere and immediately tried to disrupt their formation by casting spells.

The elements in the air and ground surged and combined to form three huge spiraling cone shaped rocks and sped towards the warriors, following the rocks were a yellow light ball falling towards the direction of the ground just in front of assailants.

The masked mages reacted swiftly by summoning transparent shields.

Fedrick unexpectedly smiled and shouted, "Haha, Fools."

Lucas for a moment couldn't comprehend his words. In the short battle both sides reacted swiftly showing their battle experience and didn't show any obvious mistakes.

'Did I miss anything?'

Soon Lucas understood, The fight, it was not a simple battle of strengths but also wits.

The yellow energy ball wasn't an earth elemental spell but light elemental spell.

"Flash Bomb"

The turn of events where so rapid that Lucas almost lost the sight of battle.

In the split second that Flash Bomb activated and light spread to every street corners, System reacted seemingly reading his mind.

Due to the Flash Bomb spell everyone around a kilometer was blinded for a few seconds, even Fedrick who cast the magic had to close his eyes to not be blinded.

But Lucas could clearly see everything happening, the Flash Bomb didn't cause any effect to him.

As soon as the Flash Bomb spell activated Fedrick quietly but swiftly merged with earth.

System soon send a light stream of data, informing of Earth Escape Spell and similar earth attribute abilities and spell details.

But the leader among the masked men seemed to know somehow that Fedrick will escape through earth, he quickly cried out loud.

"Shockwave."

At once all the three warriors send a palm strike to the ground in the direction of Fedrick filled with True Qi.

"Fiery Palm Shake"

The 2 mages was not a slight bit inferior at their reaction, they used their equipment effect skill and pounded the ground hard with their staff. The earth cracked and ripples gradually formed and extended towards Fedrick who was escaping.

A shrill cry soon came and followed Fedrick was ejected from the ground and coughed up blood, some parts of his intestines can be seen among the blood. He was heavily injured by the shock waves from the strikes.

Fedrick hatefully stared at the five men.

The leader figure among the masked men laughed coldly and said "Did you think we didn't investigated you? All of us know of your Special Ability to travel through earth, we were just waiting for the right opportunity to capture you."

Lucas was shocked inwardly hearing about special ability 'Awakened Ability?'. Lucas didn't have time to think, situation was rapidly turning.

"Fedrick just give me your space pouch and everything will be bygones. We will not chase you anymore and you are free to go anywhere you want." said a masked man in the middle of them.

"Forgive and forget?,uh…" coughing blood he laughed. "ha....ha, that's right, let bygones be bygones. Let the death of my brothers be a thing of the past, let the death of my beloved be forgotten" Fedrick started madly laughing and soon firm determination can be seen in his crazed eyes.

Fedrick in a split second took out a scroll which started to emit some kind of spatial aura.

The leader among the assailants loudly shouted sensing the changes, " Quick stop him, he is going to use a teleportation scroll"

Before anyone had a chance to react, Fedrick ripped the scroll and vanished.

All 5 masked men were furious, fearful energy started to leak from them.

Soon sounds could be heard from afar. Many powerful auras were moving towards them.

"Whoosh!!""Whoosh!!"

"Crap! The Guards are coming, it's dangerous to stay, run." The masked men were terrified sensing the terror filled auras. They took out a grey pearl and directly smashed on the ground.

Right away a disturbing destructive energy field was created and expanded. The energy field caused a unique frequency which disturbed the senses of both warriors and mages.

The masked men used the confusion as cover and split up and ran in different directions.

Next instant when the dust settled tens of guards came where fight took place.

The battle between Fedrick and the masked men left a profound impression on Lucas's mind, he replayed the fight scenes in his mind many times over and over.

'So this is a magical world, a battle between mage. So this is it, haa'

Until now Lucas was conflicted and was in fear of the unknown world, all his understanding was blown up when he found magic was possible. Until now he was just going with the flow.

But now, after witnessing a fight many times above his league up this close, the only remaining feeling was a blood boiling excitement.

'No matter how high the sky is or how wide the earth is, Since I am here, I am going to see through all'

Lucas eyes shone like bright stars, the rapid change in his aura was undetected. No one even Lucas himself nor anyone nearby noticed his incredible transformation.

A soft notification sounded in the depth of his conscious, Lucas was immersed in his heroic spirit and didn't noticed anything amiss.
