Merlin once again patted Lucas's shoulder and called him out to follow him.
"No, I was just thinking that I don't seem to see any other elves or other races here in City of Datura."
Lucas quickly diverted the topic.
"Oh, you can see elves in some of the high-end places. And about beast-folk, many live among us, it's just that you didn't recognize any of them."
"Among us?" Lucas frowned.
Merlin gave a casual node. "Beast-folk have some characteristics of animals especially Feline types. If you observed carefully their hands, feet, eyes, ears or hair it is possible to identify them."
"So are you saying that at first sight there aren't any major differences between human and beast-folk." Lucas asked with suspicion.
"They are that similar?"
"If you count some of them having tail, then some of them will be said to have a major difference."
Merlin laughingly said.
"There aren't much different races here. Even though the city is prosperous. It is still the City of Arsln Family. So most people come here either for trading which are done by merchants passing through our territory or people seeking the help from Arsln Family. As you know we Arslns are a family that mainly trade in alchemy potion and herbs."
Soon they neared the Evenrise building.
"Uncle if there is nothing else, shall I go?"
Lucas wanted to talk more with Merlin, but before the memory fusion take place, it would be better to keep a safe distance. There is no harm in being too cautious.
Merlin stopped and faced Lucas.
Lucas didn't know what wrong with what he said, seeing Merlin's facial expression he knew he was in trouble. So he was incredibly nervous.

"Decided what?" Now it was Lucas's turn to be confused.
At the next instant Lucas asked, an indescribable pressure assaulted him. He understood, his uncle was angry, but why, he thought furiously suddenly something clicked.

"Uh.." Lucas didn't know what to say. He can't say he completely forgot about, can he?.
Merlin sighed and rubbed his temple to try to reduce his headache.

After taking a deep breath Merlin continued.

Merlin looked at Lucas, and seeing him listening intently he continued.
"If you decided to become a Alchemist, we can help you walk the path effortlessly with our talent. But the family will not attach too much importance to you. Because we are not lacking in Alchemists, if you reached Grand Master Level then it's a whole another matter but sadly even if you have talent for Alchemy, you have to spend huge amount of time focusing on it."
"If you walk the path of a Rune Master, we can help you find great teachers and your position in the clan will rise as long as you reach Master level or you can craft Gold Grade items."
Putting a hand on his shoulder Merlin said with a reassuring voice. "There are other paths, you can choose your own future and no one from the family will dare to put any form of pressure on you, whatever you choose both me and your grandfather will be behind you."
