10 It's No Good!!

In the Sea-Mist Plane where the strong rules, the highest organization is Union Government, as the name suggests it is a governing body of united nations.

When it was founded, Union Government had near invincible power and authority in their grasp.

As time passed their authority and power waned, but even so some of their powers they still hold like Copyright Association, War Control, MagiTech, Medicine Association etc..Many old powerhouses still support from behind the scenes.

From high to low, the power structure of Sea-Mist Plane have an order, the most strongest or influential Union Government and after that comes Inter-continental organizations like Blood Hall, Sky Imperium Palace, following them empires and kingdoms or some rare inter-national organizations like Zenlon Corporation, then finally the ancient families and other noble families.

Sky Imperium Palace is a place mainly trades in magical items, artifact and other rare items and materials.

Lucas carefully looked at the Sky Imperium Palace, the customers going in and out were all wearing luxurious clothes and had a arrogant bearing. It was a place only for the wealthy.

Without hesitation Lucas walked straight to entrance. Despite the fact that Lucas was wearing a seemingly plain black robe, no guards tried to stop him. Guards had enough experience to tell which were poor which were not.

Leisurely Lucas stepped into Sky Imperium Palace.

[Ding! Congratulation for host in increase in proficiency of mana manipulation, seal released.]

Lucas nearly tripped and fall hearing the sudden notification. It took Lucas a moment to regain his bearing, he walked on as if nothing happened.

Sky Imperium Palace

"Thank you for your patronage."

Inside the Sky Imperium Palace a handsome man with silver hair, lean build and a pair of dull eyes mechanically said.

No one showed any signs of displeasure, they didn't want to offend a superpower as strong as Sky Imperium Palace and even if someone showed any displeasure they didn't thought it was worth to bully a salesman of Sky Imperium Palace for something so insignificant.

"Hey Ray, you need to smile more, right now you are not some young master or any genius, you are now an ordinary salesman of Sky Imperium Palace. So smile more and don't be too stiff..

Ray ignored the chirping, near Ray the silver haired boy was a young girl, a standard loli with twin-tailed golden hair and a pair of purple eyes. For anyone who didn't know her will think of her as a cute adorable kid.

"Lily, you are disturbing me."

Ray said in a indifferent voice. His eyes were completely dull as showing the world that he wasn't interested in anything in the world.

"Yeah Ray, can I ask you something.?"

Lily eyes were bright like stars. Staring expectantly she asked Ray.

Ray felt a headache coming, resigning to himself he helplessly nodded.

"So why did you chose City of Datura as the place to bid your punishment."

"Nothing particular, I wanted to visit Federation and the old man said to choose between the territory of Arsln or Jainus Family and it seemed good to take a vacation among flowers.

Lily slyly smiled. "Oh flowers, so that's why you weren't angry by the elder's decision."

Lily laughed in an exaggerated manner. While they were fooling around Lucas entered and Lily happen to see Lucas's embarrassing moment.

"Oh, Ray did you see.."

Turning around Lily happen to see Ray's expression, his eyes weren't dull and had some life in it.

"Do you know him? Is he your friend? When did you meet?"

Lily started to shoot her questions. Ray gave her a look which said, oh please can you stop it.

"I saw him 3 years ago, old man wanted to visit someone in the Arsln family and I saw him there."

"Oh! so he is from the Arsln Family."

"Hmm, Yes a core member, Old man said that he has good talent in runes. Being called as a good talent by the old man, he should be quite exceptional."

"How did you recognize him? It's been 3 years hasn't it."

Ray instead of replying just pointed to his head.

Lucas looked around the main hall, there were many magical items and artifacts presented for viewing. But looking at the prices caused Lucas to involuntarily shrink his neck.

His allowance were insufficient to play the rich game. Inwardly sighing Lucas looked at the displays and other items, in his peripheral vision Lucas happened to see Ray and Lily, he had a feeling that they were talking about him.

Lucas was curious, he knew that only the name Lucas Arsln was famous but not his face. And he rarely got out and almost never used Arsln Family name to do his things. So there is a low chance for anyone not familiar to recognize him.

'System who is he?'

'Can you tell what are they talking?'

Lucas was secretly astonished inside. Communication through energy voice is an advanced method of mage and warriors, when they need to speak without others hearing.

'Are they that strong? They look young too..'

Lucas decided to covertly sense through system.

Lucas felt shaken, his world view that he somehow build in the recent days has now been collapsing.

'Impossible, impossible. It is believable if that young man was stronger than that loli.'

Lucas furiously thought. 'Is it possible that I am like a frog in a well.'

Lucas took a deep breath, closed his eyes and calmed down. In his mind many flashes of his life passed through, in earth he was born in a rich household, since young abused his powers and authority, indulgence in sex, alcohol, and drugs. When the catastrophic incident befall on his family, he couldn't do any thing, he was hunted.

And he could only run and only run, there was not an ounce of courage to stand up and fight. He had fallen from heaven to hell. From that hell he crawled out and finally destroyed and trampled his enemies.

No matter what it is, it doesn't matter.

Lucas was stunned and is face rapidly darkened, he wanted to loudly curse and if possible, beat someone up.

Lucas tried hard to control his agitated emotions.

Mentally he screamed. 'Now forget it, let's return to original goal, Is it f***g possible to spy on their conversation.'

With continuous information flow Lucas became aware, System detected more than two energy voice transmission technique and to obtain accurate information, system peaked his senses to utmost limit.

The chaotic storm he experienced before must be the huge information flow to his brain.

"Ray I think you are mistaken, he doesn't like a genius."

"Uhm.., I…I don't know, maybe you know…haven't you heard some geniuses are wrapped in the head. Lily you shouldn't badmouth someone behind there back."

"I am not badmouthing behind his back, I am right now standing front of him. So technically I am badmouthing in front of him."

Lily politely bowed to Lucas like a well mannered employee. Lucas eyes twitched, yeah they are really talking about me. Lucas pretended to hear nothing and simply looked at the showcased items.

"Are your eyes alright, when he came he tripped, can you hear me. He tripped! God he is a purification stage expert, his awareness should be top notch."

"And didn't you see how his face changed, from excitement to sadness, shock, grief and relief. It was like watching a comedy show. He is most likely have some problems in the brain."

"Or..or... maybe.... I have heard that he is always in his lab, so may be he is exhausted from all his experiments and wasn't in his right mind earlier."

Lucas didn't want to spend any more time in Sky Imperium Palace. But if he immediately left, they may get suspicious.

Ray sighed and moved towards Lucas.

"Young Master Lucas, if you are looking for materials for runic crafting, you can come look at this side, a new batch of materials just arrived."

"Yes,...Ah... Yes thank you"

Lucas knew Ray was helping him so he followed him. Lily also quietly followed them while showing an innocent smile.

"How did you know me? I don't remember coming often here." Lucas inquired curiously.

"I have eidetic memory" A simple straightforward answer, Lucas nodded in reply.

"I never even dreamed that I will ever witness Young Master Lucas. I have heard so much about your talent. I am Lily and this is Ray, I from long before really wanted to meet you" Lily tried to talk to Lucas acting like a fan girl seeing her idol.

She would have been successful if Lucas hadn't spied in their conversation.

"You're overpraising me. There are many more talents in the Arsln family, not just me." Lucas shyly smiled and acted like a inexperienced boy.

In Arsln Family Lucas's position was high but it doesn't mean he was indispensable. There were 8 exceptional talents including Lucas in Arsln Family. Lucas didn't care much about others and wasn't much interested in most of the things. So in a way he was one of the loneliest. Due to the absence of Lucas in many occasions, people didn't knew much about Lucas and this led to a mystery surrounding him. Lucas Arsln was a mystery for people in the family and this goes for the other people living in City of Datura.

In front of Lucas there were all types of materials concerning the Runic craft. Lucas kept a serious face and searched through the materials, in the instant he touches the material, a flow of data regarding it's name, weight, density and many of its uses flowed into his mind.

'Rayray let's go, I am bored, I heard there are many people arriving lately. We may run into some interesting girls.' Lily was jumping for an adventure in her mind, but unfortunately Ray was way more cool headed and replied with the same old dull face.

'Even before you see the treasure, you will be beaten up with your pitiful amount of power.'

Lucas quickly got interested in their conversation, outward he didn't showed any particular emotion or changes.

'Do you want to have a go?'

Lily glowered at Ray from behind Lucas.

Without any change in facial expression Ray responded with his message.

'Truth always hurt. What they are chasing for is a Pseudo Unreal Flower, it is not any use for you.'

Lucas was surprised for a moment. Searching through the System there was only a single information. The Pseudo Unreal Flower is a herb capable of helping in increasing there chances to breakthrough of Core Level Warriors to Maxim Level.

Lucas was satisfied on his luck to hear some valuable information. But disappointed hearing it was not about Realm Crystal. Lucas decided to stop snooping around for Fedrick's information and return back, even though he was disappointed the time he spend was fruitful.

At that time two pairs of footsteps were heard from behind. Sensing the arrival of the two Lily and Ray moved away. Turning his head he saw two woman luxuriously dressed, the leading lady was in middle-aged woman, she looked beautiful and had a enchanting mature charm that came from her elegant dignified aura, following her was a young woman, her eyes were sharp and cold, she had a slight dark skin but Lucas was attracted by her ears, pointed ears. Seeing it only one word came 'Elf', but system instantly gave him another information.

"Lucas what are you doing here, I believe your uncle clearly told you not to wander around and stay at home." The middle-aged woman admonished Lucas.

"Don't be mad Aunt Jane, I just got bored."

The middle-aged lady was his aunt Jane Florin and the young lady was her maid Alyha a Dark Elf.

"You didn't got bored all these years, but now you get bored. Now come with me, I have something to do here, after that you will be leaving with me."

Saying that she turned around without giving Lucas any opportunity to talk.

Lucas showed an unwilling look before quietly following, he waved towards Lily and Ray saying let's meet again. Ray face didn't express any obvious expression but still nodded, Lily brightly smiled and waved back.

After moving some distance Jane asked Lucas, "What were you talking about?"

"Nothing much, a normal conversation and that girl Lily acted like a fan of mine."

Lucas lightly smiled and said.

Jane raised her brows and looked toward Lucas.

"Did you really think she was your fan."

In response Lucas grinned. " Nah, when she showed up in front of me, her eyes showed excitement of someone finding a new interesting toy. I just played along."

Jane was impressed by Lucas's perception. She smiled and said. "It's good, She is a Magister and one of the Faeries, the boy Ray also have a impressive background."

Lucas looked pensive." A Faerie Huh..?"
