6 Prince Charming

Sandi and Alex followed me out calling my name. I just wanted to leave the cafeteria with its thick air because the swirl of countless emotions was suffocating me.

I reached out into the garden which is situated on the opposite side of the parking lot. Nature always calms me down even though everything is drying out and leaves are falling down, rotting into a rusty hue due to autumn but still it's beautiful in its own way.

Sometimes Autumn comes to our lives too when everything seems falling apart, crumbling and rotting to death. But as spring always comes after autumn, nature is a message in itself. It teaches us to be patient as every end is a new beginning. When a tree sheds its leaves it gets rid of all the toxins that are accumulated in it over the years. Similarly it's necessary for a human to shed all the toxic thoughts, all the held back tears to free his soul, to make place for new happiness, for a new start a fresh start, just like spring, healing his soul where new flowers will grow.

I took some deep breaths to calm myself down, my nostrils filling with the soothing aroma of soil. I used to do this every time I was sad or angry when I was in Australia.

Alex bumped into my shoulder shouting my name and was breathing heavily from running behind me.

Soon a panting Sandi joined us. She was holding a tray of food.

"Omg omg omg I am sooo proud of you!" Sandi hugged me tightly, shoving the tray into Alex's hands.

"I did this for you." I replied genuinely.

I did this for her to make her proud and to show her that I listen to her. She always tells me to deal with such things patiently and kindly and what I did was exactly what she would have done but she didn't have enough courage. I also wanted to show her that she can do this exactly like the way I did it. I am not any special than her, not than anyone else. Everyone has this power to stand up against wrong and support what's right. It's just it whether they choose to do it or not.

She hugged me back with a proud expression on her face which said everything she was trying to tell me through that hug.

Alex was showing me his phone telling me that he recorded everything for his future nieces and nephews so that he can show them how much of a badass their mother was.

"That was my girl, you just killed it babe. That bitch's face was priceless." Alex said laughing, throwing an arm around my shoulder and holding the tray with the other one, ushering me and Sandi towards the benches.

"Yeah can't deny that." I said laughing with him. My mood was getting better now. Sandi gave us a pointed look. She doesn't like us making fun of others.

"Come on girl, chillax." I told her, ruffling her hairs.

I know chillax is not a word, I just made it up by combining chill and relax. I do this often, making up words that don't exist and mostly people are confused if it is really a word and they didn't know about it.

We sat on the bench and started eating while chatting about random things. They bought me my favorite Nutella sandwich and apple milkshake. I threw a loving, motherly glance at them while they were stealing each other's food and making silly faces.

What would I do without them.

Suddenly the roar of a black car caught my attention, yeah the same car that hit me yesterday, pulling into the empty space right next to where we were sitting.

A manly figure came out of the driver's seat and I was met with those icy blue ices again. Our eyes met, the intensity of his gaze dazzling mine.

My heart was beating fast while I moved my eyes down his face slowly.

My words were lost somewhere in my head.

He was just like the Prince charming I always imagined for myself, far better than my imaginations.

His dark hairs were sitting on his forehead in loose curls, his chiseled face and full lips morphed into a blank expression, not giving away any type of emotion. But his eyes were shouting things I couldn't make out. His figure was tall and broad showing off his build up muscles flexing with his moving arms. Something about his presence was shouting power and dominance. Girls all around us were visibly drooling. I quickly withdrew my eyes from his haunting ones. I have far higher self esteem to drool over someone even if they look like my imaginative Prince charming.

Get yourself together girl!

It's just the side effects of hitting your head.

I assured myself.

I didn't forget to notice the fact that he was wearing all black, like me.

In my messed up state I took in a big sip and ended up choking on my drink. Sandi started patting my back while Alex was looking in the direction of my sight with pure rage etched on his features.

I was so lost in him that I didn't notice two Ravs standing beside him, one of them waving at me enthusiastically. Did Ravs just multiplied over night, I thought to myself.

I waved back at him while I noticed Xavier glaring in his direction and Alex in mine. My expressions mirrored Raven's. Okay I can understand Xavier's behavior but what's wrong with Alex. He looked annoyed and angry. Did he know about the accident?

"How do you know them?" Alex questioned me with an irritated expression and suddenly held my hand back from which I was waving at Ravs.

I looked back in their direction to see if they saw what just happened. They were already moving towards the building with Xavier's back towards us and Raven's head turned back giving me an apologetic smile. I smiled back at him before turning to Alex who was now visibly fuming.

"What's wrong Alexi?" I asked him, holding his hand.

"I asked you first, how do you know them?" he repeated.

I looked at Sandi who was also giving me a questioning look.

"Actually he is the one who took me to the hospital," I said quietly because there was no point hiding it now. "I know his name is Raven. He is such a good guy Alexi, he also dro..."

I was cut off by him mid sentence.

"No, you don't know him, you don't know anything about them." He said, his voice laced with an emotion I couldn't understand.

Right then, he was not the Alex I know. His eyes are cold and distant. I was beyond confused by his sudden anger and change of mood. Fine, I get it that they are strangers and do not have a good reputation but this reaction was saying something else, something bigger than that.

"Please stay away from them, please Bells." He said suddenly back to his old self, his face giving off a pleading look.

With that he left me and Sandi with our mouths hanging open. We saw him marching towards the building and then looked at eachother.

"What was that?" Sandi asked me, looking as confused as I was.

"I don't know Sandi but I will know soon what's going on." I said determined to find out.

Curiosity is in my blood.

"Bella," Sandi called me.

"Yeah," I replied absent mindly because I was still thinking about Alex.

"Why were you looking at him like that?" Sandi asked me, looking at me with those eyes which she usually gives me when she spots me telling a lie.

I froze.

No no no this can't be happening, I thought I concealed everything well. But who was I kidding, she can see right through me.

I turned towards her ready to try my naturally blessed acting skill but I doubted they will work on her!
