22 Meet me later

After Alex dropped me home I stood there thinking about my decision. I checked my phone and it was still just eight o'clock so I called Raven and told him to pick me up. Also, I left a message to Sandi because we decided to do it together.

I quietly hurried in and stripped off my dirty clothes changing into a fresh pair of jeans and sweater. I heard TV noise coming from mom and dad's room. Without being heard I sneaked out of my house and ran towards Sandi's. She was already standing there hugging her body. She had also changed her outfit.

"Are you sure about this?" She asked me almost whispering.

"Yes, we need to finish this once and for all." I told her and we stood there quietly waiting for Raven.

I was hoping that everything turns out like we want it to. I saw how Sandi and Raven looked at each other. I saw how everything was affecting her. She was not saying anything but I knew. No one can take Alex's place but Raven is also our friend now and I don't like hurting him either. Alex and Xavier's feud will lead only to harm. So I can at least try ending this for good.

Soon a noise of tyres screeching against the road was heard and I held Sandi's hand.

Later we were sitting at a coffee shop looking at each other's blank faces. I was grateful that Raven didn't bring anyone else with him.

"So Raven, we are here to ask you something." I started.

"What is it Bells? I know you are..." he replied but I cut him off.

"No, it's not about that night. I don't care whoever he was and whatever happened, happened." I told him sharply and he looked at between me and Sandi. 

He didn't expect me to hide it from my Bestie did he?

"It's about Alex and Xavier. Remember you said that I should ask Alex about everything so I did and he told us. Now it's your turn to spill." I sat straight on my chair. I don't know why but my tone came out demanding.

"I think it's still not my place to tell you anything." He looked down at our shoes.

"So you expect me to go and ask him?" I looked at him huffing sarcastically. Like seriously, if he thinks that I will ever go and talk to him he is wrong. I don't even wanna see him again.

"No but listen, it was not a big deal. His girlfriend hooked up with Xavier at a party. She was a junior and neither of us knew her. We tried explaining him but he just humiliated us and accused us of purposely stealing his girlfriend in front of the whole school. Everyone kinda knows about it." He finished this all in one breath.

"We are not talking about that," he was about to say something when I spoke, "We want to know about what actually happened to Charlotte."

"What?" he looked shocked almost like he was not expecting us to bring that up "Who told you this? " he continued, sitting up a bit straight. 

"Alex," me and Sandi stated in unison.

"How does he know about-" he spoke almost like he was talking to himself. "What did he tell you?" 

"He told us that she died the night Xavier broke up with her." I told him and looked at Sandi who was sitting there sipping her drink. I was doing all the interrogation and she was just sitting there looking at our faces.

Meet me later, traitor! 

"What?!" he said, his eyes wide with disbelief and a scowl taking over his features.

"You heard what I-"

"No fucking way. She...she was not his..no this is bullshit." He said but his focus was no more on me. He was zoned out in space.

Now it was our time to be shocked. We looked at each other and I gestured at Sandi to say something because I was running out of words. I needed some time to comprehend what he said.

"Look Raven, I know maybe it is hard for you too but it was more difficult for Alex. He had suffered more," she paused taking a deep breath and I noticed Raven was completely lost in her eyes. I doubted he was paying attention to her words. A small smile came to my lips but I bit my lip to stop it.

"We need to know the truth of both sides so that we can finish all of this fuss and we need you to help us. Because we want to stay friends with you as well but we don't want to hurt Alex." I finished for her coming straight to the point.

He was silent for a while and we were looking at him expectantly.

"I can't," with that he stood up and hurried out of the cafe leaving me and Sandi with our mouths hanging open. We looked at each other and shared a knowing look. It was time for plan B.

We ran after him and saw him coming back towards us.

"Back so soon?" I said sarcastically.

"Sorry, I forgot I am your ride." he smiled nervously scratching his neck and both of us laughed at him.

We walked towards him with evil grins on our faces. I mean my face, Sandi's evil grin was not fulfilling the requirements of being evil. 

I tackled him on the ground tickling him while Sandi was holding his hands more like trying to hold his hands. He is way more stronger than both of us. Something inside my head was telling me that he is willingly letting her hold his hands because he didn't make any move towards her but he was constantly trying to get rid of me.

"Say you promise you would tell us everything." I asked him continuously, tickling and laughing with him. Yeah yeah go ahead and judge me I know this was such a childish plan but I know it will work.

"Okay okay I will," he managed to say in between his laughs.

"Say you promise," a weak voice of Sandi was heard.

"I promise," came out of his mouth.

"Finally!" I got off his leg and tried ruffling his hairs, which I usually do with everyone. He tried stopping me by pulling his hands towards me which I guess he forgot someone was holding and Sandi being the weakest creature on Earth was pulled with him.

Guess what happened next?

Yeah right. They were lying in an awkward position with Sandi on his chest and his hands still in hers.

Time to play cupid...

Both of them didn't make any move and I cleared my throat and giggles escaping my mouth with that.

Not a great cupid move!
