209 A ripple in time

"To the palace."

"To the Palace?" Isabella muttered under her breath. She was unsure what he meant by Palace or what trouble was waiting for her ahead but decided not to ask him anything but wait and see for herself. 

Xavier had hypnotized Akalia to forget everything and now she was peacefully sleeping over his shoulder. Isabella was walking close behind them and even though both of them knew about each other's real identities, none of them used their supernatural speed. 

"When will your men reach?" She asked him after a while. 

"They must have reached until now. Don't worry about her." 

Xavier had told her that he would have Clara picked up by his men and transferred to a safe place without being noticed because her wolf was unable to shift yet. Isabella was reluctant to trust his men but then again, she didn't have a choice.
