7 Chapter 7

Chibi is a girl who loved to fiddle with things, she liked sci-fi things and robots that boys mostly like, it caused her to be mistaken as a tomboy but she really didn't care, she is what you also call a genius mechanic, she had created revolutionary machines before and made her one of the most well-known mechanics in the world.

But for a few years, she was in a block, she lost her motivation and lacked inspiration, for a year, she didn't do anything much but just fiddled with little machines and most of the time in her house lazying around.

One day while surfing on the internet, she found the advertisement for the Anonymous Company, the new Virtual Reality Technology, something that even she failed to dub into, but seeing someone successful in creating it, she became curious, she wanted to study it and maybe she will able to get wake up from her block but to her disappointment.

Virtual Reality Technology was exclusive only to the Anonymous company, the only way she will be able to join is by registering for the 500 people who will play the game, Chibi sighed in disappointment since the chance of being chosen was very low but she still registered nonetheless.

Just as she finished registering, she decided to call her friends and pull them in, she had a group of friends which also consists of mechanics, and all of them were girls, she gave the news to them and hoped that if one of them gets chosen, she will be able to study it after them.

-Day of Announcement-

Chibi was very surprised when she received the news that she was one of the 500 people that were chosen to play Deus Machina, the name of the VR game that they will be playing, what is even more surprising is that all of her friends were also chosen.

She had some suspicions because of this, "Is this a conspiracy?" She thought about it, but for the sake of her dream, she decided to risk it and bring a pistol with her for protection, she created it herself, of course, so no one knew about it other than her.

Knowing she was very safe, Chibi walked out of her house, but just as she got inside of a taxi, she saw a van stop in front of her house, all of them were wearing black suits, as a person that was once working for the government Chibi immediately knew who they were.

She immediately urged the driver to drive away, but it was a little late as they were noticed, the men from the government immediately stopped them, the taxi driver got scared and opened the door while raising his hand up surrendering seeing them pointing their guns towards them, not wanting to tag the driver to what is about to happen, Chibi kicked out the driver off the car in a very swift motion and drove away from the taxi at a very fast speed.

Just as she drove away, series of bullets rained on the taxi, Chibi swayed the car from left to right trying to lessen the damage done to the car as much as possible but unfortunately, one of the wheels was shot and the car became unstable but Chibi still drove away.

"Goddamn it!" Chibi cursed as she saw the van chased after her, they chased around the city a few times and almost catching up with Chibi, she had no choice but to abandon the car and ran away.

Chibi pulled out her pistol and fired towards the van a few times giving her enough time to run away, Chibi then ran towards the crowd to avoid being shot by the men chasing after her, but Chibi had long stopped exercising and was immediately tired after running for 10 minutes and the men chasing after her is very close.

Just as she was about to get caught, 'that' arrived, he called himself 'Soldier' but as an expert mechanic, Chibi immediately knew that 'Soldier' is not a human but a functioning Artificial Intelligence Robot, something that she never dared to dream of making before which greatly shocked her.

'Soldier' protected her and the men from the government tried to insist on taking her but 'Soldier' revealed he was from the Anonymous Company, this made Chibi respect the anonymous company for being able to produce something like 'Soldier', its truly anonymous she thought.

The government then decided to give up, Chibi knew they can't risk going against the anonymous right now, after all, 'Soldier's armor can block bullets, its other functions were unknown too.

'Soldier' then took her to the headquarters of Anonymous, and was immediately surprised to see there were more than 1 Soldier's, which made Chibi fascinated and excited at the same time, she can't wait to do her research!

But she wasn't able to get the permission to, it was anti-climatic but Anonymous revealed that the answer she was looking for can be found in the game, Chibi didn't say anything anymore and just agreed with them, she then met up with her friends who also had the same experience as her.

Back to the present, Chibi and her group of friends gathered around the 'non-combatant-312 Spaceship' it was a small spaceship the size of a normal jet except that this one had a claw crane and a huge container connected at the back of it. Its purpose was for resources gathering.

Chibi and the group were studying this spaceship with fascination, at first, they thought this will be an empty shell like how games used to be but to their surprise, everything was complete, from the screws to its engine, everything is complete.

They all excitedly studied it but they weren't allowed to look more of it since they don't have permission to disassemble it.

"Spartans, What are you gathering here for?" A voice came from behind them startling all of them, everyone turned to see who it was, and seeing it was Master Chief, they all immediately stood up and lined up respectfully in front of Master Chief.

He was after all considered the captain of this spaceship, "Sir, we were trying to study the spaceship" one of them replied honestly.

"Studying eh? you don't have to study it, for now, level up to 10 first then you will be able to unlock Job Class, there you will be able to take in the Mechanic Job Class where you are able to make a Spaceship or Mech or anything you want and also study it" Master Chief gave a reply that motivated all of them.

"Thank you, sir!" everyone replied respectfully, they also wondered if Master Chief was really an NPC or a player knowing how the way he talked.

"At ease! now first go and take the tutorial, it will be starting in a few minutes, there I will teach everyone how to fly spaceships"
