What's going on?

"Where are those two men?" I looked around and so did Arnold, but they were no where to be found.

Arnold and me just came back from our adventure in the woods closeby, but couldn't find both valnor and williams.

"that's odd, my master don't just leave without telling me" Arnold said looking around

"neither does Williams" I knew something was wrong. Without wasting any time, I went back into the forest but this specific time more deeper

Arnold followed along also, he had a straight face and furrowed brows. He was literally annoyed at a particular thing

"Arnold everything okay?" I asked and his face expression changed quickly and smoothly

"yes my lady, I'm fine..... just worried about my master and your friend" he slowly said without a hint of worries.

"how did you meet valnor in the first place?" it was a sudden question I asked and this made him stop on the track. Without turning back, he replied gently

"it is quite a long story and maybe one day, I will tell you.... but it wouldn't be anywhere close to today neither this year!"

I assumed instantly there was something going on I know nothing of.

The sound of a heavy splash ahead alerted both of us. It wasn't a splash rather an explosion, and I could see the fire up ahead

"what's going on there! we need to find out" I rushed towards the explosion with Arnold who still had the previous expression all over his face.

The closer we got, I could feel the heat.

It wasn't normal for a fire to start without any source.

"Williams! Valnor!" I called on top of my voice

"Lee, keep your voice down there's something off and odd about this environment we stand on" he reached for my hands and pulled me closer to him.

"Arnold....." I trembled seeing what was right in front of me.

"that was why I told you to bring your voice down, that is a demon who can only hear the noise in its surroundings, if we stay calm and don't move a muscle it would go away but if we do..... I rather not say" he whispered

The creature was made up of pure darkness, darkness I've felt before.

The creature came closer to where we stood....

"Arnold"

"calm down Lee"

"Arnold, it's coming...."

"Lee, please do calm down!"

Before I knew it, like in a speed of light, something sliced the creature, sliced the darkness.

I thought the creature would turn around and attack because Yes, it was darkness. But instead, it was destroyed instantly

More like changing into thin air. I looked at Arnold and he smiled slightly

He was holding an ancient sword in his hands and like a flash, I saw his orbs were slightly red but quickly changed back

"Lee, you need to look....."

"how did you get that sword? You were standing right behind me!, How did you slice darkness?...." I was waiting for answers but the voice of William's talking to valnor made me run towards the sound

They were seriously discussing about what I know nothing of, they weren't quarrelling rather talking

"Williams! Valnor!" I screamed their names and they were surprised to see me

"are you okay?" Williams asked searching for any injury

"I'm fine.... where have you two been?" I went to meet valnor who was happy in seeing me

"fighting!" valnor said staring into space

"fighting what?" I questioned

"dark creatures" he replied but as soon as I wanted to ask how, he pointed towards the skies

I looked up only to see the clouds turning blood red.....

"what is that!!!"

"Lee there's a battle going on in the spiritual realm and it's affecting the physical world" valnor told me and it was no joke

"so let me get this straight we are tackling with missing people, strange symbols, Vernon mansion, an evil demon lord and now this!" I was not only tired at this point but feeling scared
