44 Seven’s Game (Team B)

CHAPTER 14

TEAM B (Agati Siblings)

"WELCOME to Seven's game! The first game is entitled, 'Odd One Out'. All members of the team must eliminate each number cards that aren't divisible by three and place them inside the waste bin. You have one hour. Enjoy!"

After the automated voice spoke, none of the Agati siblings moved.

"Ano daw?" Midnight asked, confused.

Slate shrugged. "I was too busy looking at the number cards on the floor that I didn't hear it."

Twilight rolled her eyes. "Kailangan natin alisin ang mga number na hindi naman divisible by 3. If it's not divisble by 3, we need to place it on the waste bin."

"How about those with radical signs?" Turo ni Rebel sa ilang number cards.

"The we have to solve it and if the answer is divisible by 3, we leave it." Twilight answered.

Midnight looked at Twilight proudly. "Our sister is growing up so well!" Aniya habang pinupunasan ang mga matang wala namang luha.

Twilight just rolled her eyes at nagsimulang magtrabaho. She picked up the numbers she thinks that are not divisible by three.

She picked the number 0203. Kunot ang noong tumingin siya sa mga kapatid. "Is this number divisible by 3?" Tanong niya.

"Nope. The sum of each digit is equals to 5. 2 plus 3 is five and five is not divisible by 3 so... nope." Rebel answered.

Manghang napatingin si Twilight sa kapatid. "Where did you learn that?"

Rebel frowned. "I have always been good at math. Sa ating magkakapatid, ako ang pinakamagaling sa math." Depensa niya.

"Oh. I always thought you're an airhead who only knows how to fight." Twilight teased.

Rebel just frowned and continued placing numbers on the waste bin.

"How about 0534?" Midnight asked.

"Just add all the digits. Five plus three is eight plus four is twelve so that is divisible by three." Sagot ni Rebel.

They continued placing down numbers that are divisible by three and puting the ones that aren't on the the waste bin.

Makalipas ang isang oras, the door opened meaning, they finished their task correctly. Twilight smiled as she stretched her arms. "Ang dali naman pala nito. Kamusta na kaya ang team Chaos?"

"They moght be having a hard time by now with challenging questions and stuff." Midnight laughed.

"Yeah. Swerte natin. Mga bobo pa naman tayong lahat. We can't handle hard questions." Ani naman ni Slate.

Nang makapasok sa sunod na kwarto, they all stilled when they saw several animals placed on the box. On the first box are snakes. Seconds box are worms and third box are frogs.

Pasimpleng humakbang palayo si Twilight. "Kaya niyo naman siguro yan diba? I mean, mga lalake kayo." She was grimacing as she stares at the animals on each clear box.

An automated voice spoke, "welcome to Seven's second game: Balance It Out! In this game, each will take turns in trnasferring each animal to another clear box to maintain it's desired weight. Remember, you nay transfer one kind of animal only. Enjoy!"

"So kailangan natin magtanggal para pumantay ang bigat ng isang clear box?" Paninigurado ni Twilight.

Rebel spoke, "I suggest we remove from the snakes. It weighs heavy oero kaunti lang ang tatanggalin natin. Mas mabilis at madali."

Tumango si Midnight. "So, sino mauuna?"

"Ikaw." They all said in unison.

"Each boxes should weight 30 pounds. The snakes weigh 50 pounds. How many should I remove?" Midnight asked.

"Magtanggal ka muna ng isa, kuya." Utos ni Twilight.

Midnight was wincing. "It might bite me."

"Just carry it!" Twilight snapped.

Mabilis na kinuha ni Midnight ang ahas at nilagay sa kabilang box. "Ah!" He let out a small scream.

Slate and Rebel laughed. "Why did you laugh? What are you, gay?" They teased.

Midnight looked mad. "Kayo kaya ang nandito sa pwesto ko?"

"Remove more, kuya. The weight didn't made any difference. 50 pounds pa rin." Ani Twilight.

Midnight breathed heavily and once again carried a snake to the other box. He whimped and winced.

"It's already 40 pounds. Remove naybe two more." Utos ni Twilight.

Nakapameywang na hunaral si Midnight sa kapatid. "Kung makautos ka, ikaw kaya ang gumawa nito?"

"Ang arte mo, kuya! Bilisan mo na."

Lumapit si Midnight sa kapatid. "You do it. It's scaring me. Ayokong mawalan ng dignidad bilang isang lalake."

Twilight scoffed. "I can't believe you are men." Sambit niya at lumapit sa box ng ahas.

Twilight gulped. Ang totoo niyan, takot si Twilight sa ahas.

Impit na napasigaw si Twilight nang mahawakan niya ang ahas at mabilis na nilagay sa kabilang kahon.

"Your face is so funny, Twilight." Slate was laughing as he speak.

"Kayo kaya ang gumawa!" She exclaimed.

Napailing-iling si Slate. "You work faster than us. You do it."

Twilight just groaned and continued to work. One more and they're done.

"I think I'm gonna puke." Twilight grunted when she smelled her hands.

Mabilis niyang binuhat ang isang ahas mula sa ulo at sa katawan at ilagay sa kabilang box. The weight of the box now changed to 30 pounds.

Pumapalakpak ang mga kupal niyang kapatid. "Good job, little sis! You did well." Rebel complimented.

Twilight wiped her smelly hands on her brothers' shirts. "Hey!" Reklamo ng mga ito.

Awtomatikong nagbukas ang pinto at lumabas na ang Agati Siblings.

When they entered the third room, may isang treadmill ang nasa gitna at ilang tali na may susi!

The automated voice once again spoke, "welcome to Seven's third game: Keep it Steady! One member must run on the treadmill so the strings will move to let the key move further down. You have thirty minutes to open the door. Enjoy!"

Humarap si Twilight sa tatlong kapatid. "Kayong tatlo na ang gumawa niyan. You three have good stamina. Siguradong wala lang 'to sa inyo." She crossed her arms.

Midnight faced his other brothers. "Ten minutes for each of us." Anito.

Tumango naman ang dalawa at nauna si Midnight sa pagtakbo. When he started running, the string moved downwards, allowing the key to also move near the door.

But Midnight's pace is too slow that the key is not moving at all.

"Run faster, kuya. Hanggang diyan lang ba kaya mo?" Pamemressure ni Twilight sa kapatid.

Midnight ran faster. He ran as fast as he could but the string was still moving so slow. After a few minutes, Midnight stopped.

"I-I give up." He's catching his breath as he speak.

Tumingin si Twilight sa relo. "You were runnning for two minutes." Puna niya at humarap kay Slate at Rebel.

"Your turn. Bilisan niyo ang pagtakbo. The key is not moving at all."

Slate went in first at nagsimulang tumakbo. He started running so fast that the key is slightly moving. "Faster." Utos ni Twilight.

"I can't...keep up.." Slate uttered.

"You have nine minutes left." Twilight declared.

After a few minutes, Slate stopped. All in all, the two of Twilight's brothers only finished three minutes of running but the key didn't move at all.

Humarap si Twilight sa kapatid na si Rebel. "Your turn. I'm putting all my trust to you. You need to finish 27 minutes of running."

Rebel winced. "That's too much."

Twilight patted Rebel's back. "You can do it."

Huminga nang malalim si Rebel bago nagsimulang tumakbo muli sa treadmill. He was running so fast the the key is near to her reach. Aabutin sana ni Twilight iyon nang tumigil si Rebel sanhi ng pagtigil ng susi sa paggalaw.

"Why did you stop?" Tanong niya.

Umiling si Rebel. "I can't take this anymore. I...I want to rest." Himihingal na sambit nito.

Twilight just groaned. Mukhang siya na naman ang gagawa ng trabaho na para sana sa kapatid niya.

Tinanggal niya ang coat niya at nilapag ang tablet sa sahig at nagkusang tumakbo sa treadmill. Her pace was normal. Paminsan m-minsan ay bumibilis. Minsan ay bumabagal but she managed to rum for more than 20 minutes.

"T-The key...."

"Kunin mo ang susi, kuya!" Utos ni Twilight kay Slate na hinihingal pa rin.

Slate took the key at binuksan ang pinto. Saka lang tumigil si Twilight at hinihingal na naglakad papunta sa isang malaking warehouse at umupo dahil sa sobrang pagod.

Mukhang wala pa ang team Chaos. Mas nauna sila. Lahat sila ay napaupo sa sahig at hinahanol ang hininga nang bumukas ang pinto at pumasok ang team A.

Lumapit si Twilight kay Effie at nangumusta.

Then, the lights turned out and the whole warehouse was filled with the loud gunshot.

Ang huling naramdaman ni Twilight ay may isang humawak sa balikat niya at hinila siya palayo sa kapatid niya.
