Monsters on surface.

Exams got postponed, so here's a chapter. I am rewriting the first few chapters along side, since there is no news on what is going to happen in this academic year due to the second wave of corona here, so I cannot promise constant updates.

I also rewrote "this is my story" chapter, I was very new to this when I wrote that chapter so it was... Ahem, questionable. But I am improving, right?.

Another thing, the system, I made it way too vague, so I will be changing some stuff in almost every chapter, and fixing some shit I wrote in the spar of the moment.

I will try to fix as much of the bullshit as I can before volume 3, 2 to 3 more chapters, and also put out an auxiliary chapter with all the skills and magic with there abilities, drawbacks and requirements. At the end of volume 2.

After leaving orario, me and shiva travelled back to Altena to get our stuff,

I was thinking of going back to Atlanta since it has been more than 10 years since I have been gone. But there one little thing I need before I go back, then I will be set.

[Akashic record] let's me cast any magic that mortals can use, not the ones I got from system. So I still cannot cast [Angel's blood] without the help of system,

Unless I have the spell in the slot of magic section in my falna. Yes just like everyone here I too only have 3 slots,

That is 3 slots for spells from system,

the spell like [dio grail], [gospel] I can cast as long as I know the chant using [akashic record],

But with the S rank spells like [black hole], [fallen down] even the fucking [time stop] from overlord. I will be relaying on the system a little more.

I discovered it while travelling, I was going through the spells I had since the list was quite long, while eating lunch I stumbled upon a spell give had 1,000,000SP cost,

At first I thought, what was this expensive?,

I saw the name and spit my entire lunch out,

Shiva looked at the screen, and spit his lunch out as well,

"they have gone mental, fucking mental, giving a mortal control of time, what the fuck are they thinking?!?!?" shiva shouted, he finally lost it, to the absolute cheat of a character I was becoming.

"not control, here it is written, I can only stop time for 0.1 second regardless of mana I have, unless I have less than required mana" I said to shiva while pointing at the screen.

"does that make a difference" he asked raising his eyebrow,

"no not really" I answered while looking at the screen, with rinnegan, Limitless and other S rank skills. All I need 0.1 seconds to slaughter everything in my near vicinity.

The spell will not affect the gods since there arcanum will protect them but 0.1 seconds will a small enough time for them to not notice anything.

Reaching altena we went straight to the mansion, it looked incredibly empty without Artemis familia.

Artemis familia decided to stay in orario for a few days more and work alongside astraea familia to establish a proper law and order system in orario. For a city as lawless as orario which was prime example of strength is everything, it was a tall order.

But who knows, they might actually pull it off.

Though right now I have to focus on a more important matter,

Spells from the era before the gods descended. Those are the spells that are the real treat when combined with [akashic record]. Those are the spells that can compare to the S rank spells in my arsenal. And with my skill I can cast it without any problem.

The problem was that there is no record left of it. Only stories and legends. I know for sure these spells exist and can compete with S rank spells

Because of the spell casted on aiz wallenstein to stop her time is something very close to time stop.

The one who casted that was the companion of <mercenary king>, celdia the elven queen. She was the who casted the spell on her, but there is no way for me know it's chant hence a dead end.

But there is still hope, there is a chance of her leaving the spells as inheritance for her descendents, the Alf royal family.

So we took of towards the Alf forest, the high elf territory. It will take around 4 days to travel from west to North of the continent.

Initially the travel would take 6 to 7 days going around the the Great northern mountains but your's truly had already wreaked a path through it not too long ago,

That crater I left earlier had now been cleared and filled to make a proper trade route,

Upon reaching the entrance we could see a line of carriages there. Why were they just waiting there?.

There were around 25 carriages ahead of us and a crowd in front at the entrance through the mountains, it was a little noisy there. Me and shiva got of the carriage and walked up to the crowd.

"that's outrageous" a merchant from the group exclaimed.

"you have no permission to collect money from us" a dwarf said.

"it is free land, the path was not created by you guys but a monster"

In other words, Me.

"shut up, if you don't have the money take the long way" an adventurer up ahead shouted. With rinnegan I can tell he is around level 3. Nothing to sing home about when compared to orario or Atlanta but here in the middle of nowhere, it is quite a big deal.

There was a group of 7 adventures standing or sitting in the path, blocking the way.

"this place belongs to the kingdom of Rhondda. What you are doing is against the law" another dwarf exclaimed,

These whole area is considered Dwarven territory but it seems like they don't really have much of a military power. In the first place Rhondda is famous for the minerals and ores it exports, since unlike orario which has the dungeon, the rest of the world has to get stuff through the good old fashion way.

Dungeon may be a calamity like no other but it is also a cheat for everything from ores to herbs to even fucking candies can be found there. There are some found on the 18th floor. They were very expensive. And also the ones I extorted out of hephaestus in zolingham.

I really need to apologize for that but when I was in orario my presence was supposed to be a secret due to the activities of evilus, Needless to say it was completely unnecessary, and then we had to run because of the stunt I pulled.

Alright next time for sure, first these guys.

"shiva bring the carriage" I said as he nodded and walked away,

I could see some of them thinking about paying the sum, they would have if it wasn't 100,000 valis for one carriage, now this sum might be chump change for an adventurer in orario due to the constant supply from the dungeon but here with little to no monsters and that to very weak, it is quite an hefty sum even for adventurers, and the ones that have to pay are only merchants who are already paying for adventurers to protect them in there travel, some even have more than one carriage with them,

Dwarfs left the place as it is even though they could do the same as these guys, extort taxes out of the passing travellers but they weren't too greedy and second the elves might not take kindly to the blocked passage to there most important trading centre and the Royal forest, these guys will have to run sooner or later from here hence they are trying to take as much money as possible.

The moment shiva came with the carriage the adventurer from the group shouted,

"oi stay in line you retards" he shouted as he looked at shiva, a little perplexed to see a god driving a carriage,

"even if you are a god you still have to pay" another one of the adventurer said. They really respects gods don't they,

The world away from orario is quite different, the farther you are the more you notice the change,

The gods are treated like any other mortal in orario but the further you go the less Gods you find hence people tend to respect them more,

Shiva looked at me and I sighed, let's just get it over with, but wait let's try the new stuff first,

I walked in front of them and took stance,

"hey hey hey is that brat trying to fight"

"let's teach him a lesson"

"don't cry to your mommy after th.."

0.1 second... that's all I need.

To the other it was just a blink of an eye,

A body was stuck in the mountain,two flying off to the sky, three lying on the ground, and the last one, the level 3 was struck in the ground beneath the boy's feet.

A boy with long white hairs and a blindfold covering his eyes, suddenly stepped forward took and stance. And the fight ended before it began.

"hmm a little slower than I thought"

That was slow!?!?!.

He jumped on the carriage alongside his god as they road off towards Karuna. The city of merchants and travellers, the rest of the crowd quickly followed the pair staying behind them for extra protection.

The dwarfs went off towards there settlement to report,

Meanwhile behind the guild building in orario,

"what's the report fels" an elderly looking giant god asked.

"there is no one who noticed it my lord, no god or mortal has complained or reported anything of sort,...but is it actually.." fels asked in doubt, his god was knowledgeable and wise beyond any but he can't help but doubt his recent statement,

'someone stopped time and it wasn't a god'

It was absurd to think that a mortal could do something of this caliber,

The other gods haven't noticed the brief halt, but his god who had been actively using his arcanum to keep the dungeon in control, he was able to notice the brief change.

And almost jumped off his throne, almost letting the dungeon loose.

"as absurd it sounds it is the truth" ouranus sighed, no matter how much he thinks about it only one name pops up in head who could be behind it,

"what kind of monster did you pick up shiva"

"miss aiz, look at this, it's a new sword"

"please open the doors miss aiz everyone is worried"

"didn't anyone told you that she went to her home for a few days"

A group of adventurers was standing in front a door inside twilight Manor trying to persuade the little girl to come out,

Without the mama of the familia, riveria, it was a very difficult task.

Finn along with Gareth were standing at a corner watching the whole thing, when loki approached them with a sigh.

"this is the first time I have seen her throw a fit, hmmmm.. She was so cute, my aiz-tan" loki cooed remembering when they went to a new tavern for lunch named hostess of fertility.

There was a group of adventurers who were talking about the recent event that happened in orario,

That when the the name 'destroyer' came which caught aiz's attention. That's when she realised what that blue monster thingy in the middle of orario was and why Finn, Gareth, bete and Raul came back injured.

Needless to say she was furious that her familia didn't tell her that the person she was looking for was here in orario, and the others even fought him.

So taking advice from tiona and lefiya, who were also kept in the dark, and since mama I mean riveria wasn't here, they came up with the best way to express there displeasure,

Lock themselves in there room. And so far the method seem to be effective.

Finn looked on as the familia tried to persuade the girls, honestly this was rather nice, aiz who had nothing but monster extermination in mind was now focusing on something else. He would rather have she picked a different reason but it is progress none the less.

"what about bete did he came back yet?" loki asked worried.

Ever since he came back from the fight against evilus, the werewolf has been uncharacteristically quiet and has been going to the dungeon daily and coming back injured and tired

while the person who used to do stuff like that is currently throwing a fit,

Long story short, her familia was a mess.

Finn sighed at the new load of work which was going to fall on his head. With riveria gone it was becoming harder to deal with the familia,

Orario itself was strangely quiet, a mess but a quiet one. Astraea and Artemis familia along with Ganesha familia were working together to fix the city.

With so many witnesses of the carnage of destroyer, who massacred evilus and slapped away the attack force of first class adventurer without lifting a finger. No one in their right state of mind was willing to make trouble, and were quietly watching the change that was happening.

And then there was the news of freya familia pushing towards 58th floor in there next expedition, as well as ottar going to face balor to level up.

"we need to move forward as well, don't you say? " Gareth said as if reading Finn's thoughts,

"yes, it is going to be a busy few year, but we have to make most of it before the monsters on the surface arrive here"

"did ya hear" loki butted in suddenly,

"about what?" Finn asked

"hermes gave me this, if it true, its going to be tough" loki handed Finn papers,

Reading the paper, he suddenly started laughing.

Everyone stopped persuading aiz and looked at their captain, even aiz opened the door to peak from inside,

"yes. It's going to be tough" Finn said while laughing,

Gareth looked the paper, and read what was written there,

"Heya loki-Chan, I was feeling generous so I will give you this information for free, I got back from Atlanta just now. And guess what I found,

Aflia become level 9 after beating entire hera familia on her own,

Zard became level 9 after beating entire zeus familia on his own,

And they both will be challenging lio to become level 10s.

And then challenge the black dragon again.
