Defeat!

Cayden inhaled deeply with closed eyes and exhaled it slowly to relax his body which was stiffened by Sora's push which was weirdly strong. He made himself stand in the attacking position. He started to swing his sword in the air to get the strength in his attack. He focused on her standing position. She was not at all bothered or showing any weakness, she was firm in her place like a mountain that cannot be moved by!

He channelized his strength from the air and passed to his sword, and attacked her with full speed, when his first attack came she easily dodged it. Later for another attack, again she did the same! For every attack, she just either dodged it with her fast speed or blocked it with a shield, and that too with blindfolded eyes. It continued for several minutes.

If it would have been someone else that opponent might be severely injured by now. But Sora was standing as if nothing happened and Cayden was already tired because he used his strength, speed as well as mana to attack her, so it exhausted him when she dodged it.

When he was taking his time to recover, Sora started to move her hand in the air with her sword. Just by one swing, she gave a speed to her sword and attacked his sword instead of him. It was so sudden, with so much force, that Cayden fall behind with that force and his sword which was sharp and heavy got separated from his hand. A shock wave moved in front of the other as it moved forward, this shock wave sounds like thunder! Some cracking and breaking sound came later when this happened and everybody gasped!

Cayden's sword was broken into pieces and only the hilt remained intact! His armor was almost cracked and broken which was of no use at all. It was a blow to any swordsman's pride when his or her sword breaks in combat. It simply means you are defeated very badly! That's what happened today! Sora does not hurt him, she hurt his pride and defeated him so that in the future he and others will think before challenging her. Sora removed her blindfold once she confirmed it was over!

Sora looked at her teacher Mr. Kade with anticipation that he is okay with his son's condition. Mr. Kade nodded and bowed her a little to show his respect and gratitude that she spared his son's life. When she looked at her family, she saw her father who looks like the happiest person on the earth! Her mother and sister were in awe as usual! Her best friend was smiling ear to ear! She looked at him and nodded for further announcement.

Aryan who was standing behind her family took a mic in his hand and spoke,

"Swordfight challenge is over. Please come forward for the next challenge if that is supposed to be here! We can continue in the next few minutes!"

"I...I challenge princess Sora with a horse-riding race!", a voice came from the VIP section's direction. It was Sir John Richards. He is the currently best horse rider who is participating in many tournaments and winning them continuously.

"Accepted!", Sora's excited voice echoed. She was finally happy that this time she does not have to use any weapon nor did she have to use her power, just her skill.

Many people were aware of John's horse-riding skills and how he use his mana to work with his horse to speed up and use for his advantage. Now it will be fun to see her struggle with the horse as many though she may not be better in this!

Food for thought: In ancient times, if a weapon breaks, it usually signifies that their reign has come to an end as a weapon is usually a symbol of their power.
