No more projects. No more deadlines. My editor won't be able to bug me for new chapters for a while now. Hooray!

To celebrate such a great occasion, there was one thing that I must do. No, it's not my laundry even though that has been piling up a little. The laundry can wait but my Triple Mocha Frappuccino cannot!

Luckily for me, Nyanbucks is just a five-minute walk away from where I live. Strolling leisurely to take in the peace and glory of such a wonderful Saturday afternoon, I decided to order lunch while I was at the café.

As usual, the café wasn't crowded at all. The owner was a lovely lady who immediately knew what I wanted. I took my usual seat by the window so I could people watch. Not many people passed by this area but occasionally, I'd spot an interesting character or two.

Just as I said that there was an interesting character or two, one popped out from the corner of the alley and ran straight in the café's direction from across the street. I don't know what his deal was but being dressed in a red tuxedo was a little bit too much for my taste even if he had a handsome face to complete the look.

The crazy man slams open the door and glared at everything that existed within Nyanbucks. Being a person who didn't like to be involved with strangers, I minded my own business and sipped the luxurious Triple Mocha Frappuccino.

As if fate didn't want to respect my privacy on a rare day off, the man in red tux walked towards me.

"It's you!" he pointed a finger at me and I trained my eyes on the sharp nails just centimetres away from my nose. Carefully, I pushed that offending digit aside and looked up from my drink.

"It's me?"

Angry, he slammed his hands on the table and growled. "It's you! I demand a refund on that door."

Confused, I stared at him. What door was he talking about? Is this another case of mistaken identity? For some reason, I felt as if that wasn't the case. This man clearly knew who I was but I didn't know who he was. Also, I don't remember selling any doors.

Oh, wait. I didn't sell doors but I remember who sold doors. In fact, his odd sense of fashion can now be explained. It might be our first meeting but I finally understood why I felt like I knew this handsome man. I have no idea what kind of drug I was smoking last night but because my editor threatened to post a picture of my ugly face on my official fan site, I had no choice but to churn out a random ten-thousand-word story.

In that story, I wrote about a door-selling merchant who fooled around and sent innocent random people into different worlds. This man was one of his victims. The door-selling merchant installed a new door to the magician's palace and pushed him through it. That magician ended up coming to the current world where he met a regular coffee-loving boy in Nyanbucks. However, because of my laziness, I stopped right there on a cliff-hanger seeing as my target quota for words had been met.

To make matters worse, I modelled that door-selling merchant after my scrawny ass and now this fictional character that came alive thinks that I am the conman. Well, he's not exactly wrong but I can't admit that can I? He looks ready to set my house on fire if I can't refund him the door. Still, what can I do?

An idea hit me. That's right! I could just write him back into the book.

"Alright. I can refund you the door but you must agree to do something for me," I said.

Hesitant and doubtful, the magician sat down. "Do what?"

I grinned. "If you tell me more about yourself and where you came from, I will send you back. Also, because you're good-looking, I want a few pictures of you. Don't worry, I'm not interested in men that way, I just want you to be my model for my new work."

The magician thought for a while and nodded. "But first, we sign a contract. I don't trust you," he said.

I shrugged. "I don't blame you," I told him. "Sometimes I wouldn't even trust myself."

The contracted was drafted with magic and I looked through it before signing my name beneath his. "A pleasure to work with you, Veras Valore. So, tell me more about Cham Cham Kingdom."

Veras was hesitant at first but after buying a cup of Strawberry Frappuccino, the magician had no restraints and told me what I wanted to know about that magical world. Yet the one thing I couldn't understand was how a blue space cat was involved with the scamming process. Doraemon shouldn't exist in my work but there the evil cat was, working behind the scenes.

I was too engrossed in the tale that neither of us realised the master behind the scenes replacing Nyanbuck's door. I paid for our meal and left with Veras behind me when it happened. A wave of nausea hit me as we walked into a different world and when I recovered, Veras and I were greeted by the stinky poop of ancient dinosaurs.

"Are you kidding me?" I screamed. How could they bring us to Jurassic Park of all worlds?! I knew Doraemon was evil, I just knew it!

Two feet from us I saw a sign that says "Welcome to your isekai life, enjoy! – Doraemon."

There was no time to think because we heard the famous T-rex shrieking not too far from us. Grabbing Veras' hand, I could only run for our lives.
