marriage

next morning I wake up early because of my alarm. aahe.. so Frustrating. i opened my eyes and turn off the alarm but not able to sleep again as i heard some noise from outside. I drag my self towards the sound.

"what you are doing this early in kitchen" I said and sit on the table near the kitchen. this apartment has open kitchen attached with living room.

"I have to see my parents today so I'm making breakfast early".

"ohh.. " I said.

"why? " i asked. why suddenly she need to meet her parents .as much as i know they never allowed her to pursue her career specially in civil service and she fought with her parents alot so she can pursue her dream and became officer and never interested on meeting them. then why?.

"nothing special" she said and i raise my eyebrow with questioning look. she stop her hand and whatever she was doing and said" nothing is wrong i just want meet them"

"ohh" I replied without changing expression.

" okk fine I will tell you" she said with sad expression.

"why you even lie to me when you don't know how to? " I said with a grin . she came out of kitchen and sit in chair next to me.

" parents want me to get married " she said and look at me.

"... "

she put her hand on mine and continue" and you know I don't want to" still looking in my eyes.

"what would you do next " i asked holding her her more tightly. she was forced to get married is not that much shocking news because she told me that before also but she never gone to meet them personally for this matter, but this time she's going to to meet them and that means things are gone too far which she not able to control.

"I don't know" she shook her head frustratingly.

marriage is something that we would not like to imagine in our near future. both of us only want to focus in our career and nothing as that's also the reason that we both never get involved in any relationship.

for two to three minutes we both fell silent and then I asked

" who is he? "

" I don't know "

" what do you mean don't you have any information "

" he is a successful businessman "

"name..? "

" I don't know "

" you don't even know his name " I said in disbelief. how can she possibly married a random businessman.

"your parents wants you to marry him because he is rich so they don't have to worry about your future? " i asked.

"hmm.. " she nodded

"they only want to take off the burden of your marriage from their shoulder, aren't they? " i said gritting my teeth.

again she only nodded and i just don't understand why always girls have to sacrifice her all their dreams so that their parents take off their burden why why why??.

and then she said something that frozen my mind.

"he want to marry within three days"

" what..? "I shouted shocked.

And i can see tears fell down from her cheeks. we never expected that things will turn out like this not even in our dreams. after two minutes of silence she stand up continues her work in kitchen. "is there's no way you can escape from this? " i still sat on my chair and asked her without turning my head.

when i get no reply from her then i turn my head and looked at her. she put her head down engage in her work.

I stand up from the chair and walk to her and give her a tight hug from behind. and i can hear her sobbing . ahh.. my heart tighten .

we together dreamed of all the achievement that we want to achieve in our respective fields.

God why you doing this to her .. why?

next one hour we cried holding one another and then she get ready and leave to meet their parents . breakfast is no more required because we already lost our appetite .

I take quick shower and try to start my study which became impossible to do.

again and again i kept thinking that how can i able to help riva so that she can again able to handle this problem like previous ones.

"ahhhh.. " I scratch my hair frustratingly.

suddenly doorbell rang and i walk over to open the door. who can possible came at this time. not many people came to visit us as we don't have many friends.

I opened the door and saw a handsome man wearing black suit with black tie . strange I don't know any one who can be so formal.

".. yes? " i asked.

he move his hand towards me and give me a file.

"ah.. this? " I asked with questioning look without accepting the file.

" this is agreement my boss prepared for both of you , please read it and sign it miss Riva " he said without any expression.

".... "

'agreement, what kind of agreement he is talking about and wait a minute who is boss ' I thought in my mind. but remembering that he is mentioned riva's name that means this is related to riva.

I accept the file in riva's behalf and then he said " I will came tomorrow to collect it" and then turn and leave.

I locked the door and start to read the file.

"..... "

"what.. the.. heck.. " i screamed.
