1 Ch-1 Edith Wood
Wood's Hospital,
Inside Operation Theater,
1:30 a.m.
"Ahh" a woman covered in sweat and eyes filled with tears screamed while she gave the last push to the baby inside her and lay down on the bed weakly as tears started to flow down from her eyes because of pain.
Everyone inside the room smiled as they heard the baby's crying voice.
" It's a girl," softly said the woman in the white coat and face covered with a surgical mask and cap as her beautiful hazel brown eyes looked at the baby's face with the eyes filled with tenderness and warmth.
She looked at the mother who was lying down and was looking at the baby with the eyes filled with tears and said," Congrats Dear, It's a baby girl , look she looks just like you ,".
After saying that she put the crying baby on the mothers chest carefully and as expected the baby stopped crying. The mother strock the baby's head lovingly .
One of the nurses looked at the doctor who was removing her surgical mask , cap and gloves. She took the towel from the table and gave it to the sweaty doctor in front of her while saying," Dr. Wood here,".
Dr. Wood turned to look at the young nurse who was holding the towel in front of her , she smiled and took the towel from her hand and said ," Thanks Joe,".
The nurse Joe smiled and moved away to do some work . Joe was an intern in the woods hospital , she was still studying and was a 22 yrs old young lady.
Dr. Wood whipped her beautiful face and looked at the mother and daughter duo and said," Dear , you should take good rest and give the baby to us so that we can do some tests on her to make sure she is fine."
The women on the bed nodded and looked at the young Doctor known as Dr. Wood stood in front of her and said with a teary eyes and shaky voice ," Thank you , Thank you so much Dr. Wood for saving my and my daughter's life , if you wouldn't have come on time then god knows what would have happened to us,".
Dr. Wood came towards the women on the bed and took the baby from her and whipped the patient's tears and said in a gentle voice," It's my duty dear , and please don't cry its not good for your health and your little angel is also fine and healthy so don't cry or else she will be also sad ,".
Women on the bed stopped crying and said," Dr. Wood my name is Milli , you can call me Milli ,".
Dr. Wood smiled and said," Oh nice to meet you Milie , myself Dr. Edith Wood,".
Milie smiled at her introduction and said,'' I know you Doctor , who doesn't know the famous youngest Surgeon and Gynacologist with a high rate of successful surgeries and high IQ , it's my luck to have you during my delivery,".
Edith was speechless listening to all these praises from her patient and said in an awkward voice," Oh thank you so much Milie for such kind words , I'm really touched but don't talk too much right after your delivery take some rest I know you are exhausted ,".
Milie smiled and said," Ok doctor but I would like to ask one more favor from you , if you don't mind,".
Edith took a deep breath and said," Fine go one but just one thing after that you are going to take the rest,".
Milie nodded and said," Yes yes, Dr. Wood I would love it if you name my child ,".
Edith and every other nurse were shocked at her request because naming a child is such a heartwarming moment for the parents but still she wants a doctor to name her child.
Edith said in a shocked and embarrassed voice," Me?,".
Milie chuckled at her reaction and said ," Yes you and my angel will also love it, look how happily she is playing in your arms,".
Edith looked at the baby in her arms and saw her playing with her finger and smiled then said," Okay,".
She looked at the baby for a few minutes and sWaid in a soft voice," Jade , her eyes are just like Jade stone so we will call her Jade ,". Then she looked at Milie and asked ," Is it nice Milie,".
Milie's eyes sparkled at the name and she said,'' Yeah , beautiful name. I loved it and I think Jade also loved it,". Just as she said that Jade lifted her leg and put it down as if agreeing with her mom.
Everyone laughed at her reaction and Edith said,'' Oh thank you little Jade , I'm glad you like your name,". After that she looked at Milie and said ,'' I think you should keep your promise now and take a good rest,".
Milie nodded and said ," Ok ". She was also exhausted after the delivery but she was so excited and thankful at that time that she forgot all her exhaustion.
Edith nodded at her response and turned around to Joe and gave her the baby while saying ," Clean her first then we have some test to do , ".
Joe nodded and walked towards the attached room inside the O.T. while other nurses got busy with other work.
After Joe was gone Edith wore her gloves again and started to clean Milie's vital area then as if something stuck she asked Milie ," By the way Milie I don't see your husband here where is he ? Only your parents and In-laws were outside when I came , shouldn't he be here at this time ?,".
Milie who was lying silently smiled and said ," Actually he is in the army so it's difficult for him to stay here but my parents would have informed him so I think he should be here by tomorrow ,".
Edith nodded and said," Hmm Ok , so if he come tomorrow told him to meet me tomorrow and if he didn't come tomorrow then there is no problem just send your parents or In-laws tomorrow and from today you are my patient not Dr. Brenner's ,". While saying Dr. Brenner's name and her voice sored .
Milie nodded and Edith completed her cleaning and gave her the injection so that she can rest properly then she told another nurse to shift Milie to her ward.
After instructing them she washed her hands and walked out from the O.T. with Joe and sleeping Jade in Joe's hands. Milie's parents and In-laws were already in her ward after meeting their grand-child.
While walking in the hospital corridor Edith removed the white coat while talking with Joe about the test they have to do on Jade and Milie.
Edith said in the end," Make her birth certificate and do all the tests by tomorrow morning and send all the reports to me as soon as came ,".
Joe replied," Yes Doctor, by the way Dr. Wood thank you for today,".
Edith suddenly stopped in her tracks and turned around to face Joe, Joe also stopped and looked at her with confused expression.
Edith looked at her and said with cold hazel brown eyes," Make sure to tell Dr. Brenner to meet me at my cabin at sharp 12pm, I will not tolerate it if he comes late,". After saying this she left the corridor and entered the lift without even saying another word.
Joe stood there frozen with a shocked expression she was scared to her wits when she saw that scary look on Ediths face. She had never seen her like that; she had only heard about it from her seniors. She was shocked because she had never seen a lovely and calm person like Edith who never gets angry easily and was always friendly with her staff but today she was definitely angry because of Dr. Brenner's carelessness , if she would have not been present here today then Milie and her child would definitely not make it and this was enough for her to lose her temper. And everyone knows what could happen when Edith Wood gets angry at someone.
Joe took a deep breath and muttered to herself," Dr. Brenner you are doomed,". After that she also walked away.

Inside the elevator.
Edith was leaning against the elevator wall while her eyes were closed , she was so exhausted that she was feeling like sleeping inside the elevator. She had not slept for almost 42 hours because when she was about to go home after doing the complicated brain surgery which was about 22 hour long Joe called and told her about the pregnant women who was in the labour and the doctor was not in hospital and was not picking up the call and case was complicated , patient's pregnancy was not easy and patient is not able to hold the baby and started loose the strength. Because of this she has to rush back to the O.T. and has attend the women who was in labour, quickly she told the team to set up the thing and started to read the patient's old reports came to know that it was her first baby and pregnancy was complicated and it was not possible to do the C-section as it might risk the baby's life and the time was also going out because patient was already in pain.
Without having any choice she has to do the normal delivery which takes 20 long hours in which she has to make sure that both mother and child are safe. Luckily the delivery was successful. But it took all her energy.
Edith opened her eyes when the elevator stopped on the 12th floor where her office was then she stepped out lazily. She walked towards the office and took her car keys and again left for the ground floor.

Introduction.
Edith Wood is one of the famous Surgeons and Gynecologists in the U.K. but the only difference was that she was the youngest doctor of the U.K. She was just 25 years old and lived in London with her family. She completed her studies from Harvard University at the age of 22 and started the branch of her own hospital in different countries from then. She was mostly famous for her High IQ and successful career at such a young age.
She was also from one of the famous families of the U.K. London , The Woods . Edith's grandfather William Wood was the retired General in the army and her father Robin wood was a successful businessman , her mother Jane Wood died because of cancer when she was just 3 yrs old and then her father got married when she was 5yrs old. She was lucky that her stepmother Suzie Wood had always loved her as if she was her daughter only, then her stepmother gave birth to a boy Leo Wood who was 5yre younger than her, her bond with her brother was very strong, just like her his IQ level was also high and he was 20yrs old now and is planning to join army while also taking over the company after few years till then their father and mother and she will take care of the company. Edith's grandmother died 4yrs ago because of a heart attack.
Edith mostly got her features from her father, only her brown hairs were like her mother. She had short hair which was cut in a lob cut and she had coloured her length in pure diamond colour and this complimented her beautiful hazel brown eyes, small straight nose , bow shaped lips. She was not too long nor too short. Her height was 165.1cm ( 5'5 feet).

In the garden of Wood's Hospital.
Edith was walking towards her car in her blue jeans and white shirt when she saw someone waiting for her, while leaning against her car using the mobile phone.
Edith walked closer and said," Leo what are you doing here,". The guy was her brother who was waiting for her in his sleepwears.
Leo looked up from his phone and a handsome face came into the view if Edith , she has to say that Leo was the younger version of their father, hazel brown eyes just like her long nose , thin lips and black hairs, 182.88 cm long ( 6'0 feet ), 6 pack abs ,but at this time he was looking like a handsome mess because his hairs were on his forehead eyes were sleepy and he was in a grey pajamas and black V neck t-shirt looking like as if someone has send him forcefully after waking him up from his sleep.
Leo looked at his sister and said in a irritated voice," Old man send me to pick you up , I can guarantee you he doesn't love me at all or else why would he wake me up at the middle of the night and throw me out of the house to pick you up , he was so worried about you that he forget that he has a grandson also who came from a training,".
Edith was speechless because of complaints and laughed at his childishness and said,'' Aww , don't cry like a baby idiot and he loves both of us. It's just that he was worried about me, and now you are here then you will drive. I have not slept for about 42 hours". After that she threw her car keys at him and sat on the passenger's seat while Leo just agreed with her and started to drive the car.
Just as Leo started the car Edith suddenly looked at him and asked in a worried tone," What did you say earlier , old man is still awake ? ,".
Leo replied in a calm tone," Yeah , but he had already taken the medicines and said he will only sleep when you will be home, he had also.feed and taken buddies to the walk ,".
Edith signed at her grandpa's stubbornness and said,'' He will never listen to me, by the way I have some work for you, I want every detail and information about Dr. Brenner personal to professional by tomorrow before 12:00p.m.,".
Leo looked at his sister and saw that serious look on her face and he knew something was off about this doctor but he asked and just agreed , for the rest of their ride they both talked about different things and about Leo's training at army base.
