10 Hallucination

KNOCK.... KNOCK.... KNOCK...

Radha was lying on the bed, reading a book she picked from the mini library in the hall when she heard the knocking.

Sitting up proved herculean and as she struggled to change the posture.

"Come on iiiii....nnnn..." she shouted while struggling to sit up.

Madhav entered and pulled her up gently.

This was the first time she was actually looking closely at him.

He was gorgeous.

As the sandlewood smell overpowered her senses, she wanted to sink into a peaceful sleep.

Her earlier agitation vanished and she felt happy.

Radha.....

And for the first time he spoke to her in privacy.

And the voice was so sweet to her ears.

Control. Control.

This man is dangerous.

Lunatic.

Radha tried to control her emotions.

But all in vein.

I am sorry for the morning Radha. I never intended to hurt you. If you accept my truce offering in form of the new job, I shall feel  elated.

Radha wanted to give this man a thrashing. But her body developed a mind of its own as she felt her head nodding in acceptance and her lips stretching to form a smile. She had been seeking this attention for the last 14 hours and she got it, finally.

Cent percent undivided attention of Madhav.....

Her happiness knew no bounds.

As she succumbed to the happy sensation, she saw Madhav turning to leave.

Madhav. Stay. Please.

Her voice betrayed her self control and she cursed herself for such mindless action.

She reddened in shame as she realized how desperate she must have prortrayed herself as.

Shit.

But Madhav was not a bit shocked.

He turned, smiled and closed the gap as he gently perched beside her on the bed.

He pulled out a chocolate from his pocket and neatly placed it on the night stand.

My first return gift for the Lovely Lady who has always gifted happiness to others.

And Radha, if you leave the chocolates in the fridge henceforth, at least don't forget to leave water bottles yaar.

She felt her world swaying.

What was he saying!!!!

She never shared her chocolates, except with one.

But.... He was .... He was.....

He was definitely real. And he definitely ate them. She always kept losing chocolates at home....

But !!!!

She almost fall back on the bed as she started guessing the identity of the intoxicating man in front of her. He was definitely not the idol she worshipped. He was so different from her imagination. But then again, how is that even possible?

And I hate milk. Specially those which comes in the packets. Gross mannnn...

The original cow milk has it's own beauty but this.....

Nayyyyyyy...

His innocent smile and gesture made her heart stop.

Madhav?

That Madhav!!!!

She couldn't still believe.

How is that possible? Yes, they say he is omni present ... but this is.... CRAZY.

Finally she smiled as happy tears filled her eyes and the mysterious man wiped them off her cheeks....

I don't need to hide from you. Do I?

Radha could feel tears streaming her face and the smell overpowering her senses. Is this even real? Or this was a... it was a ... she was trying to avoid the negative thoughts but the word "dream" kept on coming back.

"No No No .... I would think negative and this is happening and he is real.... " Radha closed her eyes and shook her head violently, as if ward off her negative thoughts.

And then she heard a hoarse voice calling her name....

Radha..... Radha..... Radha...

And then she felt cold droplets on her face.

Rajomma came into focus as Radha blinked blankly.

Thank Gods. You are up.

Gopala...

Laddo you passed out. I would have never known if it was not dinner time.

She looked blankly.

Madhav!!!!!

No Madhav.

No sandlewood smell.

Just she and Rajomma.

Her eyes darted to the night stand.

No chocolate.

She wanted to bang her head.

That's too much.

Her hallucinations were heightened to madness.

She was a Krsna devotee and that deity in the attic was her sole friend. May be the name.... May be the charm.

But, her mind was now mixing Madhav with her only friend.

She was going loony.

As Rajomma helped her in getting up and guided her towards the dinning, Radha cursed herself for being so lonely and she cursed herself for being so control less on her mind.

She needed a therapist.

What she didn't see was the smirk on the face of the man, absorbed in a business Magazine in the mini library as he saw them heading towards the dinning.

BUSTED.

He smiled to himself as he dived back to his Magazine.
