2 First Meeting

It was a night worth to celebrate. The whole entertainment industry is now busy and celebrating two of the biggest events for this night. The 2 largest function hall in Platinum Hotel is full of celebrities attending the Welcome party for the famous director, Nate Xanthe Vermillion at Function Hall 1 and the other celebrities are also attending the other welcome party at Function Hall 2 which is the welcome party for the famous artist and pianist, Shea Corraine Weismann.

Outside the Function Hall 1, Director Vermillion was still being questioned by the reporters.

"After being outside the country for 5 years, are you staying for good now, Mr. Vermillion?" one of the reporters asked. Nate just smiled and then he nodded and said: "This time, yes. I will be staying for good or else my close friend will continue pestering me to come back from time to time." The reporters laughed at his answer because they know who he is talking about.

"Bro, who was it that you are talking about that is going to pester you from time to time to come back?" Everyone then turned their gaze to the man who suddenly appeared beside Nate.

"Oh my God! Oh my God! It's Mr. Zackery Gavinski!" one of the female reporters exclaimed.

"Of course I was referring to you. " Nate said while laughing.

Everyone in the industry knows that the famous Director Vermillion is a very close friend of Zackery Gavinski, one of the famous actors in Hollywood. Although he is well known for dating too many women he's not afraid that his image will be ruined because of scandals. He used it as his advantage instead. He is also well known for being the childhood friend of the famous actress and pianist, Shea Corraine Weismann. That's why people aren't that surprised why Zack is present at the Platinum hotel right now. Of course, he's going to attend both of the Welcome Party.

Although most of the people from the industry know Zackery and Shea's relation to each other, Nate is still oblivious to that fact. He knows the name Shea Corraine but he hasn't met her once.

"I know right. Hahaha." Zack replied and then he glanced at all the reporters around Nate. He then said: "Alright. Friends from the media please excuse us for now because we can't start the welcome party without the guest of honor. We will leave now." Zack said using a friendly tone and all the reporters just nodded because they know that even though they told Zack that they still want to interview Nate, Zack won't listen to them. They are afraid that if they insist Zack will sue them one by one because they had an agreement that they will be allowed inside the hall and make stories for their headlines tomorrow if they will act accordingly and with proper manners. If they did not, they will be sued and will also be forced to pay 1 Billion Dollars each.

While both Nate and Zack are walking towards Function Hall 1 they are both talking to each other.

"Welcome back, bro. You are a famous director now." Zack greeted.

"There wouldn't be a famous director, Nate Xanthe Vermillion if it weren't for you and your family. " Nate said and then he let out a gentle laugh. "That's why, thank you, bro." Nate thanks Zack and when he was about to hug him, the way men hug each other. Zack avoided his hug.

"Bro, thanking me is enough. No need to hug me. If you really want to thank me, here." Zack said and then he offered his right hand.

"What am I going to do with your hand?" Nate asked looking confused.

"Bless!" Zack said and then when Nate was about to bless him, Zack retrieved his hand.

'Goodness! I'm just pulling a prank and he believed it. This innocent fool really didn't change.' Zack thought.

"You really are still the same Nate I know. No need to really do a bless to me. I'm just kidding. Let's go inside. The party will start already." Zack said and then they entered the Function Hall.

Meanwhile, at the Function Hall 2 that is just beside Function Hall 1, the party already started. Though both function halls are just beside each other, it is alright to make noise because both the function halls are soundproof.

"A multi-awarded actress since then, an adroit woman who shared her fruitful life on showbiz and a simple girl who touched everyone's heart as she continues showing what she got, Ladies and Gentlemen, the one and only, Ms. Shea Corraine Weismann!" the host proclaimed. And then a beautiful and elegant woman entered the hall. The people inside can't help themselves from admiring the woman in front of them. This woman although she has been in the entertainment industry for 8 years, she maintained her pure image. That's why many are idolizing her. She hadn't been in a scandal once.

After Corraine reached the stage, the host gave her a microphone. Corraine then bowed and greeted everyone. "Good Evening, everyone! First of all, I'm thankful that everyone made it here tonight. I won't be where I am today without all of your support. So tonight let us all enjoy the party!" Corraine said happily.

Just after Corraine went down the stage someone approached her. "Shea!!" the woman called. When Corraine turns her head to the one who called her, she was surprised at first but then she hurriedly hugged the woman in front of her. "I've missed you, Linnet! It has been awhile."

The woman hugged her back and said: " I've missed you too, Shea. Welcome back! "

The woman who had approached Corraine is no other than Linnet Gretzky, Corraine's best friend. After they said their welcome, both Corraine and Linnet went to their respective seats and talked for awhile.

After a while of talking, Corraine told Linnet that she's going to the restroom for a bit and then she excused herself and went to the restroom. Meanwhile, at the other Function hall, Nate also felt like going to the restroom that's why he excused himself from the party and went to the male restroom.

After Corraine was done, she didn't quickly go outside the restroom. She retouched a little and then after retouching she went outside the restroom. Right after she went outside, she bumps into someone who just went outside the male restroom.

"I'm so sorry! I didn't see you just now." Corraine apologized and quickly bowed.

"It's alright. I wasn't paying attention to the way anyway." Nate said.

"Thank you. " Corraine said and then she lifted her head and stared at the man she just bumps into.

Looking at the woman in front of him, Nate was quite surprised. He didn't think that there would be a day where he could meet a woman this pretty and elegant. Although he already met a bunch of a different kind of woman, so far the woman in front of him was the most beautiful of them all. He was struck by cupids arrow. It was love at first sight. Nate just smiled at her and when he was about to say something, a voice can be heard from behind him.

"Bro, What did took you so long? The others are already looking for you." Zack said and then he noticed that Nate wasn't alone. He wasn't surprised at all after seeing the woman in front of Nate and him because between Nate and him he is quite familiar with the woman. "Oh. It has been a while, Raine. Welcome back. I am going to drop by your party later to greet you. Hahaha." Zack greeted and then he hugged Corraine.

"It's alright. Thank you, Zacky! " Corraine said and then she hugged him back. Nate was quite surprised by the act of both Zack and Corraine that why he is wearing a confused look on his face right now.

Noticing Nate's expression Zack laughed once again. "Bro, I forgot to tell you. Let me introduce you to her." Zack said. "Raine, this is my best friend, Nate Xanthe Vermillion. Bro, this is my childhood friend, Shea Corraine Weismann." Zack continued and introduced them.

'So she was that Shea Corraine.' Nate thought.

'So he was that Broadway director, Nate Xanthe.' Corraine thought.

"Nice to meet you, Mr. Vermillion." Corraine greeted.

"Nice to meet you too, Ms. Weismann. You can just call me Nate." Nate said and then he smiled at Corraine.

"You can call me Shea or Corraine then, Nate. " Corraine replied and also smiled at him.

After all the greetings, the three of them all decided to go back to their respective party.

Hi! This is the first chapter that I've promised! Hope you guys will like Destiny's game too. :) Pardon me if there are grammar errors. I'm not that good in English. Actually, I've created this years ago, I made this for one of my subjects play. My professor asked the whole class to make a play and I was appointed as the scriptwriter. That time we were in a rush and I am not satisfied with the flow of the story that's why I made a novel out of it. So this novel will quite be shorter than Blue Moon Bride but it still depends on my mood and my imagination. Hahaha. To those who are reading this novel, Thank you very much!!
