4 Chapter 4

"Mom?" Tyler called Aly.

"Yes, Baby?" Aly replied. Tyler pouted his lips.

"I'm not a baby anymore, Mom!" Tyler said. Aly smiled.

"What is it, Big Baby?" Aly teasing her son.

"Mom!" Tyler said a little irritated.

"Okay, okay, what is it, son?" Aly asked.

"Do you like Uncle Brett?" Tyler asked that made Aly's eyes wide open.

"What are you talking about?" Aly asked her son.

"I think he likes you." Tyler said in serious tone.

"And what made you think of that?" Aly asked puzzled. Tyler kept quiet.

"We had met each other only now. I can't tell if he likes me or vice versa. We can never tell." Aly said.

"What if he court you?" Caden asked after listening to his mom and brother's discussion. Aly was the one being silent now.

"I don't know. And besides, he said that he had a partner already." Aly said that made Tyler frowned.

After driving from school, they reached Mrs. Reyes' house.

"Wait for me here, I'll just get something inside." Aly and her two sons nodded.

While waiting for their mom to come back, Tyler got his phone and called Harper. After a few rings, Harper answered the call.

"Are you lying to me?" Tyler said on the other line. Harper furrowed her brows. They had reached their home and she's currently inside her room changing clothes.

"What are you talking about?" Harper asked.

"You told me that your dad is single." Tyler said.

"Yes, he is." Harper said.

"He told my mom that he already had a partner." Tyler said.

Harper was surprised. She hurriedly ran outside and looked for his dad, still holding her phone.

"Dad!" Harper calling her father.

"What is it, sweetheart?" Brett asked.

"Do you have a girlfriend?" Harper asked feeling annoyed. Aria heard her big sister question and moved beside her with a questioning look.

"Me? When?" Brett asked puzzled.

"Yes, Dad! Do you have one?" Harper asked.

"None, of course." Brett answered.

"Did you hear that, Tyler?" Harper asked making Brett furrowed his forehead.

"What about the partner thing?" Tyler asked. Harper looked at his dad.

"You told Auntie Aly that you had already a partner. Who's that?" Harper asked curiously.

Brett thought a little then finally realised what his daughter was talking about. He smiled and said, "It was your Uncle Dave. He's my partner on my business." Brett said explaining. Harper sighed.

"Tyler?" Harper said.

"Yes, everything's clear now. Bye!" Tyler said and end the call.

Aly had just entered their car after talking to Mrs. Reyes.

"Bored?" Aly asked her two boys.

No, Mom." Caden said.

"Mom, Uncle Brett is single. His partner was his friend and it was about a business." Tyler said continuously. Aly raised her brow.

"What was that?" Aly asked puzzled.

"Nothing, just clearing things." Tyler said.

"Okay." Aly said but still wondering about what had Tyler just said.

Because it was the students free day, Aly didn't wake up early. During school days, she will wake up at four thirty in the morning to prepare breakfast and snacks for the kids. For their lunch, it will be prepared at the laundry and she will bring it to the school.

She heard a knock from her door. She looked at her clock and it was seven in the morning.

"Come in." She said and Caden came in.

"Good morning, baby." Aly said and hugged her son that laid beside her.

"Good morning, Mommy." Caden said giving her a peck on her cheeks.

"Where's your brother?" Aly asked.

"Still snoring." Caden replied making Aly giggled.

"What do you want for breakfast?" Aly asked.

Hhhmmm... I want pancakes." Caden said.

"Okay!" Aly said making an OK sign in her hands. Both of them got up from the bed, rinsed their mouths and washed their faces.

Aly is preparing their breakfast when Tyler went out of his room.

"Morning, handsome." Aly said. Tyler smiled.

"Morning, beautiful." Tyler said that made Aly laughed.

"Mom, am I not handsome?" Caden asked with a frown on his face. Aly and Tyler looked at each other and laughed.

"You and your big brother are the most handsomest boys in the world." Aly winked at Caden and the later smiled widely.

Tyler and Caden, even they were brothers, they were opposites.

Tyler was the serious one. People may think that he was inclement because he rarely smile but in real, he's fun to be with.

Caden, on the other hand, was the sociable one. He's always smiling, he easily makes friends eventhough, it's only the first encounter, he's too innocent, wanting to ask questions about everything he sees or thinks.

Theirs likes and dislikes were also different. Tyler wants pork and veggies while Caden likes chicken and fish. Tyler wants to read books and watch animes while Caden wants to watch cartoons and play with his tablet.

One hobby they like to do together was drawing and doing sketches. Two boys who are poles apart but to their mother, they are both sweet and loving but protective as well.

They ate breakfast together and prepared themselves going to Heaven Scent Laundry.

"Morning, everyone." Aly said to her staff with a smile in her face.

"Morning, Ma'am. Morning, boys." The staffs spoke at once.

Whenever there's no school, Tyler and Caden will stay at the laundry shop. After doing their homeworks, they will help in doing the laundry works. Sometimes, they would accompany Jackson in picking and delivering the clothes. They were also included in the "dishwasher of the day" rule. Because they can't cook, they will only participate in doing the dishes.

Aly is planning to teach Tyler how to cook on their summer vacation. For Caden, she's still thinking about it because sometimes, Caden is still a playful child.

"Why are you here?" Amelia asked the two boys.

"It's our free today." Caden answered.

"So, who's in charge of the dishes today?" Lili asked smiling.

"Today will be Caden because last Sunday it was me." Tyler said going up to her mom's office. Caden pouted his lips.

"Don't worry, I'll help you a little." Emily said that made Caden smiled sweetly.

"Thank you, Big Sister Emily." Caden said. Emily made a quiet sign on her hand and Caden did it too.
