1 Chapter 1: Destiny.

A girl wearing a knee length maroon skirt with a pearl white shirt and a blazer on, stood outside her school gate as she waited for her chauffeur to pick her up. Even the way she wore her wavy black hair, which was plaited to her left was simply beautiful. The girl was fair with a magical pair of deep brown eyes which matched with a sharp nose and cherry like lips.

When her car approached, other students began gossiping about her. As if to mute their displeasing voices, she pulled out her headphones and played whatever song it threw. She spotted a bunch of girls her age, hanging out with their so called "Friends". The girl looked a bit sullen as she huffed and rolled up the window glass.

Mr. Dev, her personal chauffeur, is a nice and gentle looking middle aged man with black hair and brown eyes. He had been working for her family for 20 years. She was more comfortable with him than with anyone else in her family, as he gives her the space that she required.

As she was leisurely listening to the song, she was forcefully pushed forward from her seat, stopping a few inches away from her nose kissing the hard back of the driver's seat.

"Young Miss, are you alright?" He questioned as he visibly panicked.

"Err.. Alive...." "What happened Mr. Dev."

"An old lady threw herself in front of our car out of nowhere. Please wait inside miss. I will check up on her." He was long gone before she nodded her head. It's been a few minutes since he asked her to stay. It was then that she noticed people gathering around her car. Something felt amiss and she decided to go out to take a look.

"I need to meet her. Let me go!" The old woman was agitated about something. The girl sighed in relief seeing that the old woman was doing okay. But was wondering why that woman wanted to meet her.

The people were mumbling something which sounded like a mad fortune teller. "Great! So now I am stuck with a mad woman?" She dare not took any step further as she let Mr. Dev handle her. She was worried about reaching home late as it was time for her piano lessons.

A soft tap on her shoulder, pulled her back to reality. Mr. Dev was furious towards the old lady for approaching her.

"Miss, Please get inside the car. I will handle her." She looked at Mr. Dev and back at the old woman. She looked so small and frail. Her clothes were a wonderful piece of mess.

"Child, you must listen to me. You are in danger."

"Me, in danger? Hey, I am this city's richest man's only daughter Anaaya Chaudri and Mr. Dev is not a normal chauffeur. He is an highly trained professional bodyguard."

The old lady's eyes were on the brim of tears as she passed her a golden ring.

"You must hold onto this ring. This ring will guide you through your darkest moments." Her voice was quivering. Strangely it felt like she was telling the truth.

"Thanks. But it won't be necessary." She shoved the ring back to her as she hopped back into the car and signaled Mr. Dev. He nodded his head as he took the driver's seat and rushed back home.

Being glad that she made it in time for the lessons, She didn't notice the weird atmosphere between her parents. Well, they have always been weird but today it kind of felt even weirder. Ignoring the adults, she made her way to her room. Refreshed as quickly as she could and ran back to the piano room where her teacher was waiting for her with a grim expression on her face.

"Sorry for being late Mrs. Shiekh... Is something the matter?"

Mrs. Shiekh, her piano teacher in her early 30's with a gorgeous blunt hair and blue eyes. She is a fair looking pretty lady with topnotch musical skills. Her melody is one of a kind which Anaaya admire the most.

She cleared her throat and looked a little uncertain about something.

"My Husband got promoted and we will be moving abroad... So today will be our last lesson together."

"Okay... I must admit that was a bolt from the blue... But is there a need to be so anxious and uncertain like this, Mrs. Shiekh?"

Her teacher looked at her and sighed without saying anything.

"Okay Mrs. Shiekh. I understand. Thank you. Hope you have spoken with my mother."

"Yes... well..." She made a long pause before she spoke again, "Nevermind." She was anxious throughout their whole conversation. It felt more like she was hiding something. But Anaaya didn't bother her further.

It was late in the evening, the melody filled her room muffling the noise her parents were creating in the study. She played and played for hours until they stopped fighting.

The nights they fought, were always the nights that her mother failed to become pregnant even after going through a lot of treatments. Her father always wanted a son to inherit all of his wealth. Unfortunately his wish was yet to be fulfilled.

Which made her firmly believe that she should do whatever she could to protect her place in their house. She tried to please them like a fool but till now she haven't succeeded. Her love for cleaning triggers whenever she wanted to take her mind off something.

As she was arranging her bookshelf, She found something shiny next to her favorite comic book. To her surprise it was the same golden ring which that old lady tried to give her earlier.

She was astonished as to how that ring found its way there, since she was pretty sure that she gave it back to her. The ring started emitting a beautiful green light which drew her in. Before she knew it, she was wearing it on her finger.

Shocked at how her body acted on its own, she immediately tried to remove it. But somehow it felt like the ring was holding onto her which made it impossible to be removed.
