14 New Beginning.... { 4 }

I threw the door open and threw myself on the bed. I could hear Ryan undress, but I dare not to open my eyes. But when I felt the bed sink a little on other side, my eyes flew open.

"What are you doing here?" I yelled turning to face him.

"Going to sleep on the bed." He whispered. "No, you can't. You can't sleep on the bed." "What?" He said.

"You can't sleep on the bed with me." I said and shifted myself to the farther end on the bed.

"Then where will I sleep?" Ryan said, sounding more awake.

"On the sofa." I said.

"No way!!!!" No was his turn to yell, "I will never sleep on the sofa. Not in a million years!!!"

"Well, sleep on the floor then." I said mockingly.

"Never." He said making himself comfortable on bed.

"We can't sleep together. I will never fall asleep. I have never slept with someone in my life and I never will." I said as gulped my anger down.

"Well, I can't sleep on the floor or the sofa." He said without any sign of getting off the bed.

"Fine then, I am moving to another room."

I said and got up. As i grabbed a pillow i heard a knock on the door.

"Come in." said Ryan.

"What's going on in here?" asked Mrs. George in a quiet voice, who was in her night robe.

"Nothing, everything is fine, we were getting ready to sleep." Ryan said calmly.

"Why's there a pillow in your hand, Jennifer?" Mrs. George asked while pointing at my hands.

"Oh, I was planning to sleep on the sofa." I said.

"The sofa?" she asked with disbelief.

"Yes." I smiled sheepishly.

"Ryan?" she said, "How can you let her do that?"

"I was the one who planned it, I am feeling uncomfortable." I said quickly and Ryan looked at me.

Mrs. George chuckled, "Jennifer, you will get used to it. Just sleep together for one night and I am sure you will get over it."

I didn't say anything just nodded helplessly. This was there home i had to follow their rules and as a matter of fact i myself was never comfortable sleeping on sofa or floor.

"Now, sleep together for tonight and Jennifer, do you need me to call the maids to come in and help you take off the dress and makeup?" asked Mrs. George.

I quickly shook my head and blushed.

"Alright now, let's go to sleep. And did you take the pill?" she asked. I nodded,

"Good night." Saying that she left the room.

I grabbed my clothes that Sunny was complaining about and throw it on.

The dress was hard to take off. I put the dress on the hanger and got into bed.

A few minutes later, Ryan lay down next to me.

I moved as far as I can to get away from him. I clutched the blanket in my hand and i can hear my heart thumping fast as it can.

"You really feel this nervous about me next to you, right?" he asked and I jumped a little.

I didn't say anything. He silently got up and left the bed. I watched him at the corner of my eyes, as he went to the closet and grabbed another blanket and pillow out. He went to the sofa and lay down. Then, there was a long silence.

I guess he fell asleep. I couldn't sleep even when I was sleepy before. I got up and walked over to the window. I sat at the window seat and opened the window a little. I can smell that leafy smell like trees were just cut down. I stare at the moon.

I began to think of past happenings and then suddenly recalled that the wedding will be held in two weeks after the full moon, that's so close from now.

I leaned on the wall and stared at the forest for a long time, before sleepiness filled in my eyes drowning myself in it.
