"Brat!"

Gian did not let go of the man's leg until he cannot hear Shannen's footsteps anymore. The bulky man kicked his leg so hard a lot of times. Gian finally removed his hold from the man's leg. The man swung his leg at Gian again and kicked him on his shoulder.

"You are really eager to die, huh?" Gian heard the man said. "He said that I should kill you when the party ends. But since you are now here..."

The man kicked him again in his shoulder and Gian let out a pained sound. As the man fished out a knife in his pocket, Gian forced himself to stand up and ran towards the other direction. Though his legs were wobbly, Gian still managed to run unto the deeper part of the maze garden.

Gian hid behind a huge rose shrub. The shrub concealed his body perfectly. When he peaked through the leaves, he saw the bulky man looking for him. This time, he was not alone.
