6 In the next life

He whacked his elbow on his stomach and glared at him "one more time, I heard this joke and you will reach your afterlife at that instant."

But he just continued laughing. "Aww you know that hurts" but his expressions were nothing like being hurt but full of mischievousness. He just shook his head at his childishness, He can't win his gamma in making fun of him. But that doesn't mean he can't shut him up.

"Oh, I wanted to give you all the files and documents needed to go. Plus the key of villas. Go and have fun" he said winking his eyes with a meaningful smile.

"You know I don't have the fun of that kind," he said eyeing his friend.

"Well, you never know if you don't try. Oh come on, you are just a young man. Don't behave like old." He said sitting down on the sofa. 'Since he doesn't offer him a seat. He could only shamelessly sit without invitation.'

"I am 100 years old olcan. For Christ sake, you are also 74 this year." He said shaking his head. His friend could never be serious.

"So what I am going to live up to a thousand years. So, I am young in that way." He deadpanned.

"Yeah right, then I will let you have your marking only when you will be adult. Sometime after 400 years. What say?" He said rubbing his chin.

His eyes widened and he shook his head like a rattle drum "I am old, very old. I could have been grandfather up to this time if I would have been a human" he said afraid of being denied of his mate.

"Yeah, go on," he said replying with a smirk. "Decide one thing, whether you are young or old. "

"Ok, okay I am old enough. Now tell me do you need anything else." He asked standing ready to go.

"No, and give all these files to them, I am not going to take care of anything except keys. When would Rudolf return?"

"He would be here in the morning" he replied taking all the files from the table.

Fenris, Caleb and Blaez took their private plane to go to Springfield city. After lazing around a while and checking the whole are to find any threat around. They decide to meet the shapeshifter ruling here. As they have been invited many times.

It is the rule of their people. All the supernatural beings like vampires, witches, dragon lords, Lycan and other shapeshifters have distributed the land among them. They are now living with humans freely without them knowing. Even if someone knows witches are hired to cast spells to erase that part of the memory from their mind. But lycans and witches had a war 200 years ago which lasted almost a century. Each side lost a lot.

After that, they are not in a good relationship so they won't help lycans in any condition. So, they have learnt to hide them using an old cloak method. The moment they shapeshift, their Lycan form couldn't be seen by humans. Until they want to show it themselves or the person is their mate, which rarely happens.

And if any ruler of one area goes to another area. They meet each other just to give respect or to state their reason for the visit. Few who are higher than others do not go to pay a visit but are invited respectfully. Just like the hierarchy system in humans.

Fenris is taken as the head of all the packs of Lycans. As his father was the one who ended the war, his pack was the one who leads the war after that the war ended. Every pack accepted him as their leader. It gives him the right to go in any territory belonging to the packs. Which are found almost in every city or country.

So, to make their position stronger, they have established companies almost in every field. So, that they can rule humans also. It brings them safety and power to live their way.

Just like here, they are under the area of Springfield pack, while the other part is ruled by dragon lord, Lorax. He had invited Fenris and his companions as a sign of respect.

As they belong to different species relationship is not possible among them to bring close ties, so chances of the feud always remain there.

So, people tried to establish maintain a good relationship with those who have more power like lycans.
