Despite my Faults

Lucy was silent after reading through everything . She looked at Lisa and then asked her.

" What are you going to do about it ? " She looked to be worried about her.

Lisa got up from the seat and looked at her.

" What else do you expect me to ? " She asked first. And then put a serious face.

' I am taking over all my father's responsibility in the company. " She sneered.

" But Canary did that already." Lucy argued

" Dont worry about your son. Its not that i am going to become the president. " Lisa said and heaved a heavy breath.

" I worked at the company before as Canary's PA so I know most of the things there. It's just funny that I Lisa who was nothing in Andersons is now a 40% shareholder. " She mocked and then looked at Lucy.

" I will discuss that with Canary. For now allow me to have a rest. The day was a long one for me. " Lisa said Lucy and then left .

Lucy remained there in confusion and sat down.

" I think i should do something about this. " She said to herself. She was just like that when Canary returned back home.

" My son...." She said getting up to go to him.

" Mom....Why are you here alone ? " He asked.

" I was talking to Lisa. She just went to sleep

" Lucy reported.

" Lisa...you mean she came back ? " Canary asked. He thought she had left for good after having her father Joel arrested.

" Lisa is not going anywhere. You should learn to be with her here. " Lucy said

" Fuck ! " Canary cursed and walked to his room. Lucy didnt get a chance to tell him that Lisa had been actually made part of the company ( Andersons co. )

Canary reached in his room and sat down at the edge of his bed.

' Lisa what are you planning to do now ? '

He asked himself as he was confused about her intention of staying in the same mansion with them.

He knew it was going to be hard for both of them to stay like that. Not after they had been lovers before.

In her room, Lisa sat down on her bed and thought of what Lucy just asked her. Joel ( her father ) had given her a big burden of having the 40% shares of the company. This meant that she had to take part in the company if she wanted or not. How was she going to compete with Canary.

As she looked around her room she remembered the day first day she went work at Andersons Co. As Canary's PA. At first he hated her but later the two fell in love until Lucy asked Canary to breakup with her.

Immediately after their breakup Canary discovered that Lisa was Joel's daughter and that Joel was the person who killed his father.

Lisa had just been brought to stay here and then Joel was arrested for the murder case.

That morning , When Lucy and Canary went to the dinning table they were surprised that Lisa and Arya were the ones in the kitchen preparing breakfast

" Mom..." Arya called on seeing Lucy and went to hug her. She hugged Canary after Lucy. " And big brother , good morning. " Arya said.

" Good morning little one. " Canary replied now walking to the table. His eyes didn't leave Lisa who was still busy cooking.

" What are you guys doing ? " Lucy asked.

" Lisa suggested that we must prepare breakfast for you and big brother. " Arya answered.

" Really , But you dont even know how to cook ? " Lucy argued.

" Lisa knows very well. She taught me. " Arya said.

As they were talking Lisa herself came.

" Good morning Aunty. " Lisa said with a smile to Lucy and turned to Canary.

" Good morning my dear cousin brother. " She greeted still maintaining her smile that was cute to him.

' My dear Cousin brother ? How dare she call me like this ? ' Canary asked himself in his mind and didnt respond to Lisa's greetings.

Lucy saw this and kept silent. She sat down to eat.

Lisa also sat down with Arya.

" Bro , I am so sure you will like Lisa's food. " Arya said.

" Hmmm , I am only eating because you cooked it too. i will eat. " Canary said to Arya with a smile amd begun eating.

As soon as he begun eating his mind went back to those days when him and Lisa were still lovers. He remembered how he used to make her breakfast that she loved and the meals she also used to prepare for him.

' Lisa , Your food as is sweet as you , Why is everything about u sweet ? ' He would ask her those days. " Because i prepare it with love and passion that i have for you. " Lisa would answer him and he smiled and kissed her lips.

These memories filled his mind and before he could start crying he stopped eating and got up.

" I am late for work. I will leave now. " He said and immediately left the table leaving Arya and Lucy confused.

Lisa had also remembered those days they used to eat together but she kept strong and didn't show any reaction.

" Excuse me ! " Lisa said to Lucy and Arya and also she left the table.

She was walking up stairs to her room when she met Canary that had now just finished dressing up for work.

When they met , Canary stopped and gave her a serious cold look

" Did you do that intentionally? " He asked her.

Lisa chuckled at his thought. " What are you talking about ? " She asked giving him the same look he was giving her.

" You intended to prepare breakfast . You think i dont know your intentions ? " He said raising his voice now.

" Canary , dont amuse me ! Which intentions are you talking about ? You think i still care about anything about you ? " She asked in disbelief and walked away past him but Canary grabbed her hand and looked at her.

" Please don't do it again , I don't want anything that reminds me of the days we were together. Please..." He said with tearly eyes.

Lisa smirked and pulled her hand away from his.

" Not everything is about you. And if you think that i wish to remember anything about you , you are wrong. I buried everything, nothing has ever existed between us since they were all lies. "

She was serious in her speech.

" The only way i know you now is just that you are cousin brother believe it or not. I dont care if we are related or not ...I am only here because your uncle is my father. Otherwise , I don't know any other Canary. " Lisa said and then walked away.

Canary swallowed that and sighed. He knew she must hate him for the way he treated her.

He broke up with her just because he wanted to please his mother Lucy that didn't want them to be together.

And in the long run he later found out that Lisa was his Uncle's daughter.

The man he just imprisoned today for having killed hus father .

He knew that he broke her heart into pieces and now that he had had her father Joel arrested , She hated him more.

Lisa had grown as an oprhan , But as soon as she found her real father , Canary separeted them by having Joel arrested for killing his father. Yeah ,He done the right thing but knew Lisa would never forgive him for that.
