2 Chapter One

Unlike any other, Jamie grew up with a lot of friends, always loved by the community. Jamie was born and raised in Indonesia, where she did her schooling till grade 5; she quickly got along with people.

Jamie had long black hair and wore glasses 5.4ft while growing up. She was always fascinated with nature. The sea and endless waves amazed her. She would sit for hours just staring into the beautiful ocean. Jamie's Mom, and dad split at a young age leaving her mother to raise her alone,

Her Mom was thirty-four years old and always smiled no matter how hard life struck at her. How they grew up, most men thought when a man divorces a woman. She is of no use to the next man.

Their upbringings were different, and their lifestyle was different to other lives, they were the humble type who appreciated even one meal a day, the women in the city were hard-working and devoted themselves to their husbands,

Jamie's father was a happy guy with a charming personality. He met Diah (his ex-wife) at the school. They fell in love and have been together ever since, until one day, shortly after Jamie was born, they were driving to a picnic.

He turned around to tighten Jamie's seatbelt, and then suddenly he heard a scream, it was his wife Diah says to look in front of you, and suddenly he bumped into something his wife looked at him in fear and tears.

He won't ever forget the look in her eyes. What was that he said, looking over the steering wheel, Diah suddenly broke into tears as he then opened his door and walked to the front of the car, there laid a little girls body motionless,

The girl lay on the ground holding a basket of apples. The apples were scattered across the floor. He fell to his knees, realizing it was his brother's daughter and was devasted by what happened.

He blamed Diah for what happened, for not fastening Jamie's seatbelt. Diah was sure she fastened the seatbelt when climbing in the car.

However, they both failed to realize it was Jamie who loosened the seatbelt, and this made Mr. Intan start to lose touch with things around him, including friends and family, then one day.

He came home drunk, started throwing these around, and hitting Diah; this is the first time Intan lifted his hands for Diah, this started to happen more often, and she could no longer live with it and demanded a divorce and sole custody of Jamie.

At this point, everyone village started to talk, saying she could not keep her husband, which he left her. Ms. Diah chose to ignore their gossips and focused on her and Jamie. Days went by where Jamie got used to growing up with her dad, and days became months.

Her mother started a small business selling fruit on the side of the street, which brought in an income enough to feed her and Jamie.

Of course, Jamie, now being almost thirteen years old, was forced to do things more independently, and even though most of her friends had both parents and got an allowance, Jamie was doing house chores while her friends played outside and went out to functions.

This is not the life Diah wanted for Jamie, so Diah took a quarter of daily takings and saved it up for Jamie to one day have a better life than she did.

One day Diah got very ill and was unable to sell fruit on the street. Jamie offered to go; her mother refused and said she was too young to go out on the road and sell fruit.

She must focus on her education. Jamie then said ok as she went to the market and sold the fruit.

The day went quite well; everyone in the Marketplace knew she was Diah, daughter and supported her by asking where her mother was. She explained that her mother was sick, and people felt sorry for her since they knew her financial situation. Evening came she came home. Her mother was asleep, she took the days takings and put them in a jar where they stashed their earnings in a cupboard, the next day, her mother asked her where she was, she said she was studying over at a friend was enough food supply.

Her mother invested in a lot of can food, the next day, she went back to the Marketplace, and to her surprise, the market was bustling. She made double the profit for that day.

She then took the money she made, started using 50 percent of the takings, and bought material. Her Mom had an old machine in the basement, which she never used, so Jamie decided to take this opportunity and start selling clothes as well.

She always loves the idea of fashion, the new trending clothes, and the unique, stylish designs. However, she also knew the people from her country village were poor; they barely made enough money for food.

When getting home, she saw her Mom was still asleep, and she went down to the basement and started making her clothes; the first skipper she made was a pink top, and it was plain, but an average design then made a few more and put a twelve percent market to the material she bought making it affordable the next day she went to the Marketplace and laid down a sheet on the ground and displayed her the clothes she created next to the fruit she was selling, this crowd came closer and examined the clothes and started purchasing on that day she sold out all the tops she made as well as the fruit she took with her, making the daily takings triple the amount this continued for weeks until her mother slowly started to recover.

One day while she was busy, her mother came downstairs to the basement hearing the machine, and she saw Jamie had made over two bags of clothes; what are you doing she said, why are you not in school? Mom, I know what you said, and I respect your decision, but how do you think we survived when you were sick?

I used my initiative and went out to the market; I did what you were doing all these years; you went alone, said her mother, yes she said, and Jamie now stood up and went t upstairs to the kitchen, taking out four Jars of money, this is what we made.

Her mother took the Jars in disbelief and saw the amount of money she made. She was surprised and asked Jamie how she could make this much cash.

Jamie then showed her the clothes, so you made all this on your own? Yes, said Jamie, this is more than I ever made on the market in a year's takings, Jamie, but you must go to school; she now handed the beautiful clothes she made over to her mother, sure Mom, I am just glad you are ok, her Mom smiled at her, while your friends were enjoying their lives you were working here and making a living I am very proud of your honey she said,

Since that day, her Mom knew Jamie was destined for success, time went by, and Jamie noticed her mother was a lot on the phone. They now had a stable income, and they were saving a lot of money.

Until one day, her Mom came to her and said she met someone online in the name of Scott, and Scott will be flying them over to England.

Jamie was quite surprised at first, but if that is what makes her mother happy, she will be glad to string along with her mother to England; besides that, Jamie knew she could study to be a fashion designer and build up her dream and the thought of going to a country that she never imagined was more than she ever imagines.

So when are we leaving, Mom? The weekend honey, so what about our place? Your uncle Nathan will be looking after it while we away. For how long are we going, says Jamie?

For as long as possible if things work out we will settle here, great said Jamie as she was excited to see England she went on google and searched all the cities and schools and there was so much to love about this place she thought how could anyone say no to such an opportunity,

The weekend came, and this was the first time Jamie had ever been on a plane. She was slightly nervous until she saw kids her age also boarding the plane, the airplane took off, and they were high up in the sky; the view looking down was terrific. All she could see were clouds.

Tiah was just as excited as her daughter to have this different experience; arriving at the airport, they stepped out of the plane as Jamie curiously looked around for the guy her mom has been chatting to all along.
