Change Of Scenery

I already knew I wasn't going to find him in his room and there was only one place I could think of, the garden. Whenever he needed to clear his mind or ponder on his thoughts, the garden was always where he'd go to.

Like I had expected, he was standing close to the fountain, gazing absent mindedly at the already bloomed flowers, tiredness lingering on his pretty brow, what could possibly be bothering him this much?

I walked up to him after taking a deep breath, turning my worried gaze at him and focusing them on the flowers.

"Lord Qui." I said softly, earning his attention and the worried look in his eyes faltered at the sight of me, it eased me how much just his thoughts vanish the moment I show up but I didn't want him to keep the burden to himself or hide it away from me, neither do I want to force him to tell me.

"Shanxia, you're here."
