27 Dragon God Candidate

I heard the notification as the surroundings greyed out, as I was unable to move as I saw portal open up and a familiar lady step out, though now her hair was in thick long braids and wearing an extra large witch hat
My sword glowed as the spell on me broke but the surrounding remained greyed out, as I stared at her if she was here to kill me again I don't think there is anything I could do.
I breathed out calming myself as she looked at me with a slight smile.
"I, Irene Belserion, 1st Seat of the High Dragon Council, greet the Dragon God Candidate," I looked at her as this really didn't seem like her when we first met.
We stared at each other as she finally gave in.
"Ah, fuck I can't be this formal. Like my new hairstyle?" she spoke forming a throne as she sat down.
Leaving me standing there,
I looked around it seemed the entire invasion was on pause.
"Looks fucking fantastic," I replied as she smirked.
"Ask your questions the pause will break soon." she spoke as I looked at her and sighed.
"First what is a fucking Dragon god Candidate? Second Why me? Third why do I have to stand while talking to you every time." I spoke as she smiled and crossed her legs, and started speaking without giving me a seat.
"To answer your third question, you are not on a level where we can sit face to face, your second question why you? well to be honest I just wanted to give you enough to allow you to become a high dragon candidate when you reached a certain level in this world but you became a dragon god candidate instead. Guess Loaghain fucking lied about you."
"Who?"
"Loghain Norlov"
"Wait how do you know gramps?"
"Well it isn't everyday, hell is overturned is it." She replied.
"Guess he went to hell after dying"
"You aren't worried about your grandpa going to hell."
"I am more worried about the others down there, since he seems doing quite well for himself" what a fucking joke he is a Norlov after all.
"You are cut from the same cloth alright, my point being I was going to make you into a high dragon to replace a nuisance at the council since he told me that you were talented enough to become a high dragon."
"Well he didn't lie did he?"
"He omitted the part where you could reach a dragon god candidate" she replied her mouth twitching.
I just shrugged as I sat down on a undead corpse.
"So I am now a dragon god candidate, so what now?"
"Well you increase your levels until you reach the level of a god, which means you need to save this world."
"So let me get this straight, you want me to go and become a god by saving this world"
"Yes"
"And a dragon god needs to be more powerful than a high dragon?"
"Yes"
"Fucking hell I want to beat up gramps now"
"Trust me I will help you when you do"
"So it answer most of the things, what about the eye?" I said removing my eye patch as I was finally able to see.
"Well you finally reached the threshold so the first seal has been lifted, meaning you can choose your innate power." She spoke as three orbs floated in front of me.
"You have three choices, First - Space, Second - Lightning, Third - Gravity" she spoke as I looked at them,
Space - Too complicated
Lightning - Too straightforward
Gravity seemed interesting as I looked at the light blue orb floating on the right.
I spoke as Irene nodded taking the orbs back as the third orb slowly entered my chest immediately I felt my muscle tense up as I felt as If I was being crushed before the feeling disappeared and a notification popped up.

Various notifications rang out through as I shut the screen.
"Oh and do get stronger quickly the other dragon gods have given you a chance"
"Wait other dragon gods?"
"Of course there are other councils under every dragon god, we just didn't have a dragon god, since the last 500 human years so you will need to prove your strength."
Irene spoke as she got up walking back to the portal she had created,
"Good Luck Adric Norlov" she stepped through and disappeared.
I stood up as the sword started glowing, should really take care of these fuckers now.
The sword glowed as the enchantment broke.
As I rushed head first, into the mob, and started slashing.

I extended my hand outwards pulling the watchtower that was empty down onto the undead and slashed the flying insects apart.
"Go" I looked at the villagers who seemed to be frozen staring at me, my golden eye to be exact.
"Oi! you can stare at me all you want after we get this over with alright now MOVE!!" I shouted as they broke out of their stupor and ran towards the center as I cleared up the monsters along the way.
We reached the center as I saw Arna taking down a giant undead while Kelin killed the insects.
I also saw Naofumi and Raftalia protecting a group of civilians. Where the fuck are the soldiers?
Naofumi threw an undead into a burning pile of logs as I threw my sword through the undead trying to attack him from behind.
"Go near the others, keep the children in the middle with the adults at the edge." I spoke to the others behind who immediately nodded and joined the other groups.
"Adric!" I heard Kelin who ran up, as he started at me for a second before gathering himself.
"The soldiers seem to have retreated, leaving the civilians here," He spoke up as I tried searching just as Naofumi and Raftalia finished up their side.
I sensed them coming here as I saw a mage fire a spell in the sky.
"Raftalia!" Naofumi immediately grabbed Raftalia as he raised his shield.
"Air Strike shield!" He shouted as multiple green shields formed over the others as I stood looking at the group of soldiers approaching us as I saw a mustache man lead them walking without a fucking care in the world Raftalia was the first to act, as she immediately went for him without hesitation as I took my sword from the corpse using telekinesis,
I looked at the civilians and smiled, "Turn around, kids won't like what's about to happen" I spoke as they immediately turned away and covered their children's ears as I smiled smart parents.
I looked at the mustache guy,
"Ah..sir hero, you will have to excuse us we have to go ahead and subjugate the real threat." he spoke as I raised an eyebrow, as Kelin just sighed as I smiled at him.
I was feeling irritated just now what a good soul to walk up and trash talk to me like that.
"and who are you?" I asked as he looked at me.
"I am Jeon El Pordai, commander of the knight squads dispatched by the palace...." he was introducing himself as I raised my hand.
"Banshō Ten'in" I just spoke the jutsu since nothing else came to mind for this.

Jeon struggled as I grabbed his neck,
"So tell me Jeon, who ordered you to go and assit the other two in taking the boss down?" I asked as I saw the other soldiers drawing thier swords but didn't dare approach as I llet my sword fly and float in front of them.
Damm it takes a lot mana i thought looking at the rate of consumption.
"Let me go! SIr Hero I am the commander of the...kugh" he was speaking when my punch landed in his stomach.
"I asked a fucking question Jeon?"
"Cough...Cough...the princes..." he didn't need to finish as I tightened my grip.
"Oi fucker look carefully what happens when you make stupid decisions" I spoke looking at the soldiers that were hesitating about what to do.
As I stepped on Jeon's feet to keep him planted and tightened my grip on his neck as he struggled and then smiled at the soldier with a scar running across his nose who seemed to be the second in command.
And then I calmly ripped Jeon's head off.
I calmly walked to the second in command, tossing Jeon head to the side,
As slowly placed my blood covered hand on his shoulder,
"You have a family, Mr?" I asked as he looked at me and nodded rapidly.
"You are a smart man aren't you?" I asked again as he immediately understood.
"We will protect the people with our lives" he saluted as the soldiers behind him followed suit.
"O, Don't be like that others will think I am threatening you, or something. It a soldier's duty to protect the people isn't it" I smiled at him and walked away as I saw Kelin who smirked and went ahead killing the undead.
"Soldier protect the village!" I heard a shout behind me as the soldier rushed to push back the monsters, seemed like they were following this piece of shit because of orders.
well atleast the people will be safe, I grabbed my sword as I looked at Naofumi who seemed to have the same idea.
"You guys help out here, we both will go and take care of the boss" I spoke to the others as Raftalia seemed hesitant as I leaned a bit near her.
"Don't worry I won't let your future hubby get hurt" I grinned as she reeled back and ran off as Naofumi followed enhancing hs legs while drinking a mana recovery potion.
"Let's finish a boss raid shall we?" he spoke as I smiled, yeah like hell I am giving the drops to those idiots.
We ran out of the village as we saw both parties struggling with the mobs while the Boss was smily standing in the middle.
"Keep up" I spoke and ran off but naofumi caught up soon enough, he had become quite proificient in using enhancement as he bashed into the first group throwing them away I jumped over him slicing the giant undead in half as we started cuting through the mob towards the boss.
I think I may have heard a shout from Motoyasu's group,
"Why aren't the knights here yet they were supposed to take care of these mobs!" I am pretty sure that was that bitch princess I smiled as we were already past most of the mobs as we neared the Chimera.
"Sheild prison!" Naofumi shouted as the chimera was covered in chains of shield as various spikes dug into it I jumped up sheating my normal sword while changing the holy sword into it's dragon slayer form.

I used telekenisi to accelerate myself as Naofumi cancelled the shield prison.

I slammed into the chimera splitting it in half as the secondary attack hit it when it was already dead from the first strike.
Almost immediately the mobs started growing more aggressive as I looked at Naofumi who just smashed a bunch of them with his air strike shield.
I looked at the mob that was slowly started to thin out as the other two parties were starting to thin them out perfect time for Naofumi to practice.
I came behind him as he blocked a giant undead, "Now listen carefully Naofumi, I ma going to teach you something very essential to tanks alright."
"The fuck are you talking about right now."
"Shut the fuck up and do as I say, First is dodging next ten attacks dodge all of them if you want to get stronger alright" He hesitated as I killed an insect before he nodded, and dodged the swing from the undead while rolling back to avoid an insect,
"I can't fucking keep up with their attacks" he shouted as he had to block the giant undead while kicking back the normal one.
"Use enhancement then,"
"How will it help with my reflexes?"
"Just use it on your fucking eyes moron"
He did as I saw him smile and dodge the next attacks, that was good enough,
"Alright now, throwing, since you are a tank your attacks aren't as powerful as ours but there is a work around, ever heard of the term fall damage?"
Naofumi seemed to get this one quite easily as he grabbed an undead jumping high then throwing the undead full speed into the ground killing it.
Nothing better than practical lesson, while fighting against monsters wanting to kill you
That was how gramps taught me to wield a sword, took me into a C rank dungeon when I was thirteen and threw me in to fight some goblins.
"Alright repeat these two!" I shouted as he started out getting his kills in even throwing one of the giant undead into the smaller ones he is quite a fast learner.
Soon we had finished up the mobs as I looked at the other parties who seemed to be looking at the two of us.
