Born with the authority over death itself, Azazael is an archangel that upholds the delicate balance of the world alongside a council of others like him. However, despite harbouring untold burdens upon his shoulders, suspicion is cast on whether an angel of death is truly worthy to stand on the side of good. Divided against one, chaos within the house of order ensues Now, with no divinity or authority left within him, Azazael is banished to Earth. As he travels to restore his former power in a foreign land, doubts start to arise as to what is the true purpose of his creation. But as he discovers what it means to be a mortal, new challenges and enemies question whether his downfall really was a coincidence or if it was the work of something much more sinister.
