Recognizing the voice , Nodus looked at the girl's face.

"I am fine." While the little cub was on the table , clawing at the girl. "Boss! She is a kind sister!" With a sigh , Nodus pat his pet as he stared at the girl who was stabilizing her breathing. "That's.. good... My name is Diana , may I sit here..mr..-" The young lady froze as she saw the scene of a man with a bloody face being lifted up by the crowd and thrown onto the street outside with the rest of his group. "My name is Nodus , you can sit anywhere you want." The young lady with long black hair sat down on the opposite chair in front of Nodus. "M..Mr Nodus.. this is such a cute magical beast , are you also a warlock?" The young man shook his head as he pry on other people conversation. "Shishi , keep her busy" The leopard stood up and turned his gaze on Diana. "Attack!" The cub jumped and held his front arms around her neck while he rubbed his face on her. "I learned this from the adults!" Diana laughed and held onto the cub as she felt a sense of tickle by the sudden hug.

"Wahh , Diana you are right! he is so cute!" A shorter girl stood beside here with the rest of the group behind. "Can I also hold him?" Diana held the cub in her hands as she looked at Nodus for permission. Without any reaction , Shishi suddenly jumped on the other girl and did the same thing. "So soft!" occupying the remaining empty seats , the rest of the group sat down on the chair and gently stroked the cub who jumped on the table.

"Ah right! This is my friends from the academy , we recently formed a group!" Matheres , Diana's childhood friend who went to the academy with her , they came from a distance town that was around the middle continent. Luke was a humble and handsome young man with brown hair , he was apparently the main warrior of the group while Mason was the front line one , with a huge layer of heavy armor while Evan was their archer who had their backs. Matheres was also the main healer as she was the only magician of the group while Diana was the main scout who specialize in stealth.

"Mhmm , I am Nodus , pleased to meet you." The young man who was paying more attention to the other conversation was shaking their hand one by one. "What a soft and smooth hand!!" Matheres held onto the young man hand as she rubbed her other palm on his. "Theres , stop it , sorry about that Mr Nodus , she is still too young on the inside.." The beautiful assassin dragged her friend and made her sit down on the chair. "Mhmm It's fine." The young man did not even bother to look at the group beside him as he collected more information. " Hey! Why are you calling him Mr , Nodus is not that old and I am not a kid anymore!" The little magician was protesting as she shook her wooden staff around.

" I am sorry about that , our kid here is still maturing." Mason made fun of Matheres as the group chuckled sightly.'I know what to do now..' After listening to many different conversations , he found out that most of their complaints was during the darkness. With torches that took a big space in their inventory and consumable flint and steel , the warriors had hard times adventuring during the night times or inside a dark place. 'Hence , a simple , small , light source.' The young man turned his attention toward the group after he finished thinking through his plans.

"Is there something you need?" The question surprised the group and especially Diana who dragged them here. "No.. I thought that M-.. Nodus needed help so.." The young man shook his head as she did not understand his question. "I meant , as a adventurer , what would be the most convenient thing to have that would make your missions easier." Diana held her chin with a puzzled expression while Matheres slammed onto the table and stood up." I know! er... Food! and.. and... comfortable beds.. We sleep on hard floors or on top of tree branches.. ahhh it hurt my back so much.." The two guys laughed while Evan who was the archer remained quietly calm. "I think it should be a good light source." The green haired archer replied as he nodded in agreement with himself.

'As expected' While Nodus noted down the feedback , Luke also gave his suggestion. "I think shelter would be first during a long mission." When reading a mission , most of their duration could be calculated and as most of the young adventurer took on the short missions only , they never bothered packing up tents as it was heavy and took a lot of space in their inventory as most of them did not have any spatial ring. Mason who came from a decently rich family did not own a spatial ring and not even one of his family member had one.

"Ah.. if we could get enough gold and buy a spatial ring , our lives would of been easier." Matheres commented while Diana was still pondering about something. "How much is a spatial ring?" Nodus was slightly curious about the cost of the spatial ring. "Hmm.. It's about 100 000 gold for a small one while the big ones could cost up to a million gold!" The young man was slightly surprised as it meant the little family he spent times with must be , surprisingly , extremely rich. "Ah! I know , the transport , all the carriages are so uncomfortable and slow even the most expensive ones!" 'Light , Spatial and transport' The young man registered those 3 words into his head as prepared to go back to the mansion.

"You all attended the Ournsi academy?" The young man asked as he stood up from his seat. "Attended? We are still attending! I am in the 4th grade while Diana and Evan are in the 5th grade ! " The healer who was just a head taller than Nodus happily answered everything loudly. "Could it be you are also a student there?" Diana was really curious as she liked the quiet but adorable pair. "No , but I will be in two weeks. Good Bye."The young man left the group and headed out of the building after saying his farewell.

"Isn't that great! We will see him in school , I shall protect him from bullies!" Said Matheres as the group also left the guild and headed out in different direction on the road. "He is very strong so you won't have the chance.." Evan quietly commented as he walk with the group. "Eh! What do you mean?" "I saw it , he easily defeated that group with one hand." The group was surprised by the shocking news as they halted their steps. "Are you sure.. They were all stronger or at least the same rank as us.." "Yea.. Even if they were drunk.. Maybe it was his magical pet." Luke and Mason did not have sharp eyesight like Evan so they did not witness the beating that Nodus gave to those drunken people.

"I am sure , I saw it with my own eyes." Without a doubt , the group knew that Evan had the best eyesight as he practiced a special cultivation that were especially meant for archers. "Amazing... he is adorable , rich and strong! Isn't that good Diana!?" The short healer pulled on the tight leather sleeves of the black haired girl. "W..What do you mean!? Are you making fun of me?" Diana pinched her friend's cheek until she gave up. "Hahahahaha" Luke and Mason laughed without any restraint while Evan was in a deep thought as he thought of the young monster who did not revealed a hint of qi when he used physical attacks.' I am sure this year entrance exam will be good to watch.' "Wouldn't we know if we attended the entrance exam to watch?" Said Luke as he was now curious about Nodus's strength. "Yeah go cheer on Nodus!" With the young girl shout and everyone agreement , they would witness a miracle of the younger generation.

"Good , You are really fast Mimi! Don't be discouraged Ali! When you manage to set up your foundation , your speed will be faster than any other when it come to absorbing mana!" The teacher who was disciplining the two little girls that sat crossed legged on the field. Seeing the gate opening , Luru and Kathrina saw Nodus with Shishi on his shoulder walking toward them. " Nodus! You are back just in times , it's almost dinner!" The young nodded and stood beside them as he stared at the two little girls.

'I should design a plan and a blue print for the portable lights tonight..' Before he could continue , Nodus knew that he needed connections or at least a huge amount of gold to buy a area in the popular guild district. Feeling the gaze , Kathrina turned her vision toward the young man. "What's wrong dear?" The woman took her teaching seriously as she did not diverted her attentions to anything else but her students."I wish to discuss with you later." The young man turned around and made his way toward Sasha and Bu One. Luru chuckled quietly as Nodus choice of words were funny to her. " I am sorry Aunty , Nodus only studied the language for a day.." The teacher stared at the back of the young man with a smile on her face. 'As I expected , he is really a genius...'

"Bu One , send me all the blue print for the most simple flash light , it has to be efficient and portable."

The butler eyes flashed quickly and he gave a slight nod. Looking at his wrist watch , Nodus saw a 3D hologram of a small flashlight that was small as a button. It could use magnet or a sharp pin to hook onto the clothes or armor. By simply pressing on the entire button , it would toggle the light on and off. Flicking his left finger on the hologram , a squared flash light appeared. It had a strap that could wrap around every part of the body , the wearer could wrap it on his shoulder and such. The brightness was far stronger than the button but could not last as long as the button.

After going through all the selections , Nodus looked at Bu One before he chose one and modify them. "Are these all the primitive flash light? " The Robust man nodded and replied with a suggestion. "Commander , I suggest adding a solar module into the device to increase the efficiency." The young man nodded and told the android to standby. 'Just like my thoughts , I will modify the button and maybe a simple night vision goggle would be good as well..But first.' The young man looked at the teacher as he require her opinion for his flash light.
