Two young girls were sitting on the grass as they held a piece of paper with multiple circles drawn onto it. Even though the girls could barely read , Kathrina was walking around them as she explained the basic of elements. Fire , water , wind , earth are the known as the main elements while the other are either hidden elements or something that branch out from the main ones. Lightning would be consider a higher tier of fire , ice for water , air for wind , metal for earth. Lightning could unleash the most fearsome destructive power that could penetrate almost everything while the highest grade of ice magic could even freeze times. Air could control the life and death of many people without being even seen while metal would be the strongest defense or offense depending on how one uses it.

The world of magic did not have a set spells because most of the magicians would bring use their own creations as long it was simple enough while most of the named spells are passed down magic from expert that took many decades to cultivate them until perfection or from ancient grimoires or manuals. Kathrina did not want to go further with the details on the spells and after she explained most of their weakness , as in fire is weak to water and such. The teacher decided train on mana cultivating for the first week. "This is a manual for beginners , you must first reinforce your foundation before you can graduate from grade 1." While Luru already started her foundations when she was young , Luru would most likely be put in the 2nd or 3rd grade in the academy.

Because of that , the academy is really competitive as the rewards spark desires for many students. " So don't worry , I am giving you an early start because everyone in the first grade will be just like you." The teacher sat down on a wooden chair and answered the questions of the young girls. "What about Nodus? Will he also be in the first grade with us?" The teacher smiled and stood up. "No.. Nodus is a extreme genius , he will most likely be in the 2nd grade or even 3rd.." Seeing the dense amount of warriors and magicians , he was sure that this street has plenty of equipment store. Slipping through the crowd , the young man could see on some people sitting on the floor with many potions and herbs in front of them while most of them had at least a small wooden stance that they rolled up the road. Armors , weapons , arrows and genera supplies were everywhere. On rare occasion he would see people selling magic crystal from the magical beast they have slain , after a while , Nodus decided to go into the biggest store. The store was 5 story and about 2 houses wide with a little front wooden porch that has few steps. Going up the steps , a group of people were coming out and a young lady held the door for the young man. " Please. "

"Thank you." With a simple nod , Nodus did not even bother to make eyes contact as he went through the door. "Did you see that? Such a adorable magician!" "He is really young.." "Wasn't it your dream to marry a rich young master." The group of young people laughed as they make fun of the girl who complimented Nodus. They assumed he was rich because most of the young magician did not even have their own magic robe and especially a magic pet like Shishi on his shoulder. "Ah , welcome young magician! What can I interest you with today?" A chubby manager came up to the young man and his eyes gleamed with gold coins as he saw the attire and magic pet. "Show me the most popular weapons and potions." The chubby rubbed his hands as he lead the young man to the big and wide wooden shelves. "The most popular weapons here is this magic sword and staff , the magic sword was made by a rank 5 Magic craft , imbued with wind element , the sword swing faster and can release blade wind as long you swing it hard enough... and-"

After the manager went through every items that were highly on demand , Nodus decided to buy the two most common and popular potions. The Swift Potion and the Recover potion. 'I will analyze it down to the molecules and make a better one.' That was the young man idea as he paid 50 silver for each potion with a gold coin. Seeing that the chubby manager asking Nodus to come back again , he finally found out that 100 silvers was 1 gold coin. 'Why did I not just ask the teacher or Luru...' After going through all of that trouble , Nodus who relied mostly on himself thought of how much times he could of saved if he just ask them for help.

'Maybe I need to get use to other people like my sister told me to...' The young man and his little cub walked to another building but this times the size of it was at least twice or three times bigger than the popular store that had 500 plus people in it. The building was made out of some kind of concrete materials and had a big emblem on the center with open doors at the entrance.Constant wave of people came and left the building.'So this is the Guild I've heard so much about.'

The young man decided to go in and see what kind of missions they assigned and compare the rewards as he spies some more into other people conversations. "Look! it's that adorable magician you were talking about." The girl pointed toward the entrance. The group had 3 young men and 2 young females , sitting around a small round table with a bundle of papers scattered on top. "Wow it is really him.. he is so young , why would he be here?" Most of the adventurers were at least in the Enlightened rank or higher because no one would want to recruit a beginner rank in their team unless they had a special profession.

The young man stood in front of one of the many wooden board that had hundreds of scattered papers hung with a tiny pin. ' So a recon mission reward alot too.. even exploration and mapping are a thing...' The mission were pretty much your every day task for the adventurers that was issued by random but genuine people. The person who issued the mission would leave the reward within the guild unless they have a special status. Seeing that the guild carry millions of rewards and gold , Nodus could see that this company has a high reputation.

"Oh , what is this , a chick thinking of taking on a mission alone?" A group of warriors surrounded the young magician with their mocking looks. "Those bastard are picking on the magician." The girl who held the door for Nodus , stood up and made her way toward the crowd of people. Nodus on the other hand was a little bit surprised and turned around. The young man took a step forward but he was blocked by a middle aged man. "Hey little chicken , you should atleast be respectful to your elder and look at them when they talk are talking to you." Nodus held onto the wrist of the man who was blocking him and gripped tightly. "Wha-..Ouch.. ouch! You!" Before he could finish , Nodus tugged him onto the floor. Boom! The man was bleeding from his head as he face landed on the ground with his broken wrist that looked like a empty bottle that has been squeezed and dried out of oxygen. "You can look at me from there."

"You! Who do you think you are!" The rest of the group followed up the leader who spoke first. The leader punched at the young man. The fist was easily avoided by Nodus as he slap man stomach with the back of his fist. Without any strength , the man still flew away from his spot and crashed into the rest of his group. "Ha ha! You got your ass handed to you by a kid!!" The crowd cheered for Nodus as they made fun of the defeated group. The group made way for Nodus as he found a empty table to sit on. "Ah...ah... Are you.. alright?" The girl who made her way through the crowd was trying to catch her breath as soon she reached Nodus.
