10 The Modular

On the snowy field , a young man was laying down on a big white leopard as it easily made it through the layers of snow. Nodus turned his head and looked at Shishi. "Was that mark your mom left behind is for the turtle?"

Before they left the mountain , the mother drew a single symbol with 3 lines and left with Nodus on her back." Ah! Because elder Big Green wanted me to be the next leader , he made up a mark only me and my mom would know and it means that we are outside the mountain." Since the two were missing from the dome , the turtle would surely search around and knowing that they were outside , he would wait for them before attacking the valley and beside , he needed to recover for a little bit after receiving the young man's beating.

"Boss , are we going somewhere fun?" The child like voice sounded in his head as Shishi lay his head on Nodus chest. " Don't worry , it will be fun for you and I am sure there will be tasty stuff." After running for 30 minutes , they quickly arrived at the forest behind the snowy mountain. "Stop here Sasha" As the leopard slowed down , Nodus gently jumped off from her back and landed in front of her."Sasha , stand still for me , I need to do a...measurement." With the device , Nodus scanned the big leopard and walked somewhere with an open space. "Z1 Transfer the recent data and 15% to White Jade" After a quick beep , Nodus took the white bead off his wrist band and threw it to the open space.

Without any warning , the white bead radiated a bright glow as it quickly increased in size and gently floated 1 centimeters above the ground."Woah! Boss! What is that ?? Some kind of treasure?" Nodus walked toward the smooth looking jade stone and a smooth rectangle staircase was slowly descending toward the ground. The staircase was white and small as the steps brightly lit up in white. "It's my home and don't tell anyone alright?" The little leopard nodded and jumped onto Nodus shoulder. " Of course boss , I won't tell anyone even if It cost my life." Seeing that Sasha couldn't fit into the ship , Nodus just told her to wait in front of the stairs as he will be back soon.

The spaceship looked like a smooth oval rock from the outside , but on the inside there was visible view ports that acted like a windows to see the outside. With white tints on the outside , the glass were almost invisible as it matched the spaceship colors. The stairs led Nodus to a small locker room with a short hall way to the main section of the ship and inside the wall of the hall , each side had a bunk bed with sliding curtain. As Nodus walk out of the hall , he was in a circular room that had the pilot room ahead , a open kitchen with a dining table right beside it and 3 white doors. The circular room had sofas and small coffee tables that surrounded a short hologram pillar at the center of the ship. The flooring was made out of a bright beige wooden tiles while most of the walls , including the furniture was a mix of white and black. 2%... It's enough for a run through the omnicator.. With that in mind , Nodus walked toward the kitchen and pressed his palm on the white wall. With a flash on his palm , the entire kitchen slowly fragmented into tiny particles and floated to the ceiling. After the kitchen furniture completely disappeared , the ceiling released a shower of particles that quickly merged together as it felt to the floor and transformed the area into an entire new room.

With high tech machines infront of him , Nodus walked toward a square silver colored machine that looked like a giant furnace with a metal lid in the middle side of the square.After running every where around the deck , Shishi rested on the comfortable sofa as he stared curiously at his boss. Infront of the square machine , Nodus lifted his watch and a hologram of a big white leopard appeared into the air. After clicking a few times and dragging , the leopard hologram was equipped with some metal armor pieces. Mhmm good , although its not perfect, it will do for now...

The higher quality materials required more energy and ores , while he lacked more in energy , Nodus had a decent amount of ores he picked up from other planets or from his share of wars. Clicking on the floating comfirm button from his watch , the square machine made a small noise and he could see the armor pieces being printed out by lasers through the lid. After a few minutes , the left side of the square machine felt down , revealing a conveyor belt as the first piece of armor made it's way out from the laser chamber. After printing everything that he could , Nodus took out a blue colored chip from his watch and threw it on the clear floor. *Pooof* After the cloud of smoke faded away , a long big plastic looking box could be seen on the floor.

The box on the floor was the size of 2 normal freezer-fridge and was half the height of Nodus. After loading 7 metal armor pieces , he pressed and held the button on the side of the box , the big container transformed back into the original blue chip that was as big as a sunflower seed. "Let's go back to your mother." Shishi jumped onto Nodus shoulder as he stared at the soft sofa ,he missing it already. " Don't worry , I will let you sleep on it frequently in the future." With a cheerful expression , the cub hugged Nodus entire head with his paws.

Seeing Nodus and her son coming down the ship , Sasha quickly stood up and walked towards them.As soon he saw his mom , the cub jumped down and ran to her "Mom! mom!! Boss house is amazing , there was this comfortable..." Looking at the little leopard actions in front of his mom, Nodus could tell he was describing the inside of the ship to her. Without any times wasted , Nodus recalled White Jade and with a flash of light , the beads flew into the strap of his wristwatch. As they watch the miracle scene of the ship being shrunk into a bead , Sasha and Shishi were staring at Nodus with a shocked expression."Boss!What kind of treasure is that? I never heard of anything like that , such a magical comfortable house.." Sasha nodded in agreement but Nodus only pointed at the armor pieces on the floor."Forget about the house , this is a present for you Sasha." With a uncaring expression , Nodus ,with two hands , held a black armor that looked like a piece of mask with 2 pointy ends on each side of the bottom.

The mother was quickly intrigued as she approached Nodus while staring at his hands. "Here , if you wear these nano-*cough*armors , it will make you more powerful and you can even run in the air with these pairs of..." After describing the special function of the armor , the mother was rubbing her face onto Nodus , as if she was telling him to hurry up and help her wear the armor." With a smile on his face , Nodus laid down 4 pairs of armor on the floor that looked like some kind of big foot wear. " Step on it one by one and make sure your paws are inside , in between the metal supports. Without a second thought , the big leopard slowly put her right front paw into the shoes looking armor. As her paw reached inside , the armor began to change it's shape and surrounded the entire back of the paw , leaving the front empty like a sandal so she could still use her claws.

After excitedly wearing all four , she looked at Nodus who was still carrying a piece of armor. " This is for your face. " With a slight bow from the leopard , Nodus gently placed the mask above her pink nose. The mask glued onto her face and made her look more ferocious as the pointy ends extended past her jaw leaving a gap for her mouth while the top part of the mask surrounded her eyes with a clear transparent glass that was in the mask sockets."And the last ones goes here-"" He jumped onto her back and placed the two remaining armor on her shoulders. The leopard looked like a space soldier with the shoulders guard pointed upward and a barrel in the middle."Wahh so cool ! Mom gets to be cool and I get tasty food yay" With the childish innocent , Shishi who was only a year old was rolling around in joy on the snow. The big leopard inspected her armor and as she felt nothing special , she stared at Nodus with a confused look.

"Z1 , change Alpha Prototype F-0.1 to F0.1 and transfer 4% energy into it." With the name being too long , he decided to change it for future references. Nodus wanted to test out the suit before going back to the hut as he came up with an idea so he instructed Sasha on how to activate her suit without needing to command it by voice."Think about yourself flying , imagine yourself with wings as u soar through the clouds." Sasha closed her eyes as she picture herself happily soaring toward the sun , the paws armor began to light up , revealing a pink glowing lines. "Good , now run and while you are in the sky , engrave that feeling into your spirit and mind!"

Leaving a dust of snow behind , the leopard leaped onto the air and as her legs moved down , her paws struck the air that made her soar higher into the sky. The leopard looked like she was quickly jumping onto invisible platforms was happily staring at the sun as she reach higher up the sky."Good , come back down , image yourself running on the ground again! " The leopard quickly dove straight down as she run toward the ground and before she reaches the ground , the leopard tilted to a 90 degrees and landed like an airplane while slowly slowing down. "We need to save energy.. with 4% energy you can only run in the air for 40 minutes." The white leopard approached Nodus with a sadden expression a she looked at him. "Fine fine.. Actually I got a mission for you..If you get good at it , you can fly as much as you want" After hearing those words , Sasha pounced on Nodus , pushing him onto the snow as she licked his face. After feeling the warmth of the leopard , Nodus slowly sat up and looked at her.

"Remember those minerals we dug around Forever Summer Mountain? I want you to head into a barren mountain , scan once or twice for energy minerals and return back to me with them , can you do it?" Sasha quickly nodded as Nodus instructed her to run to the closest hill to harvest some energy nodes for him. Sasha doesn't know how to use her visor yet but with sun almost rising , Nodus will activate the scanner from his wristwatch after getting the signal from Sasha. He told her to think about his name until she sees the same 3D hologram map with nodes from his watch. With the instruction simple enough , Nodus told her to be back within 3 hours , not to go further than 10 km and if she finds more than 10 nodes or in case of emergency , she could fly back to him.

"Here , I will put this bag on your back and tie it to your shoulder , when you are done , go toward this direction." Nodus pointed toward the hut , Sasha nod , she turned around and quickly ran with a big black rope bag. " Don't get yourself in danger , your life is more important!" "That's right , be careful mom , I will be waiting!" Nodus and Shishi yelled loudly at her as her shadow disappeared within the horizon , he turned around and walked toward the mountain with Shishi on his shouler.
